I put an Apexi N1 cat back with resonators on my RCF last June and drove it all summer. While I loved the look and sound, I didn't notice real major "seat of the pants" difference. I finally installed the PPE Equal Length Headers ceramic coated in silver in January and let me tell you: THIS is where the true sound and power come from. OMG !!!!! I didn't honestly know what to expect, but I did expect a slight increase in both sound and power. Well I'm here to tell you I'm truly shocked at the difference in sound and power adding the header's made. It made a tremendous, noticeable, difference. It's stupid easy to have the back "break loose" now, and I've gone sideways making turns just giving it a little bit of juice, nothing crazy. The motor revs quicker and makes noticeably more power throughout the Rev range. In fact, in Sport + from a dead stop manually shifting, the car gets incredibly "squirly" now 1st thru 3rd gear. I've had to let off several times as I felt I might lose it. It's that much of a difference.
Prior to installing the header's I was thinking I may get rid of the resonators so the exhaust would be slightly louder. Well I don't have that problem anymore. The exhaust is PLENTY loud !!!! My house shakes, my neighbors dogs all start barking, and my wife's car alarm goes off with a cold start. The car SOUNDS AMAZING and I receive questions and compliments wherever I go. I was originally buying Novel header's, and dropping 6K on them, but when I saw an internal email saying "they had over 3,000 back order's and could be a year or more before they ship, I decided to give 4K to PPE and purchase their ceramic coated, Equal Length Header's and I'm soooooo happy I did. Yes. I have roughly 7K into my PPE header's and Apexi N1 exhaust, and that's installing everything myself. You can add anywhere from another 1K up to 3K for installation if you can't do it yourself, and the header's are a shit ton of work. I did everything in my garage with the car sitting on jackstands about 18" off the ground. Oh, and I live in a state with no inspection BULLSHIT so I went full "cat delete". I had to install 2 sets of O2 defoulers to get the CEL (check engine light) to disappear.

Nice! Yeah I was really going for a more mild-moderate setup here. It's still loud enough I worry about waking up the neighbors. Headers really open up the sound on this car for sure.

Thanks for the video, this is exactly I am looking for my GSF.
instead of Revel axles back, I might try Toms stainless before put on a mid pipe. I was driving my buddy GT Haust valved with PPE EUL header and it too dam loud for my taste.

Glad it helped. I couldn't find any exterior videos of this exhaust other than startup and rev.
I will say coming from stock is will be pretty loud in the cabin. After about a month of daily driving with this exhaust, it's addicting though. I don't want to drive any of my other vehicles. It sounds so good.
Definitely not as loud as the GT Haust, that's well beyond what I wanted. But trust me when I say the Revel is still loud enough to constantly turn heads even when driving normally.

@@Fearnight lol with a 6 months old sitting in the back, I want to be civilized.... I careless about the power gain number. At this point I just want to sound a tad louder than stock, if it just me driving the car your set up is perfect.
If you ever drive an LC500 that exactly tone would be nice in our GSF but again its a $100k plus vehicle I am compare it to lol.
my game plan is slowly upgrade like axles back -> mid pipe, when the stock header cracks then we will talk about PPE lol.

@@truonghthedon't even wait for the stock exhaust manifolds "to crack" if you want to feel and hear a HUGE difference. Buy the PPE Equal Length Headers. I haven't seen or heard their less expensive Unequal Length Headers so I can't give an opinion on them, but I purchased their Equal Length Headers and full Apexi N1 exhaust with "H - pipe" and resonators, deleted ALL cats, and I was expecting a little bit of a difference, but adding the header's made a tremendous difference in both sound and power. The car sounds freaking AMAZING and I get asked questions about it every time I drive it now !!!!! I'm considering dropping my Sirius XM subscription because I can't listen to anything other then the incredible sound of this motor now with a true full exhaust. Not cheap, but ohhhhh sooooo worth it.

Thanks for sharing this video... I have been looking for clips of this combo. I have an IS 500 with the Apexi resonated midpipe and the Borla axle back... but I recently uninstalled the Borla axle back due to what I can only describe as an almost overwhelming boominess in the cabin rom 2,000-2,750rpm. I'm curious if you experience anything like that with the Revel? The Apexi + Borla combo was fine under ~1,750rpm and over 3krpm, but in that range (where this 8spd shifts up and down a lot) was super loud. Where do you notice the most noise with the Revel? Does it drone on the highway? Also curious how much the tone of the exhaust changed with break in.
    Thanks in advance!

The Revel was like that when it was still breaking in (less than 300 miles on the mufflers). After that, the boominess got A LOT better. That being said, I won't lie, there is still some boominess from 1800-2200rpm or so. If I'm going on a long uphill and the transmission wants to sit there I'll pop down a gear or two.
No drone on the highway at all. There will be a little background rumble You'll only hear it when you accelerate or start going uphill.
I suggest you give the Borla another try. Get that packing broken in over multiple heat cycles and a couple hundred miles on them. I don't think these mufflers will quiet things down much for you, to be honest. I just watched your latest video and I think the Revel is even louder in the cabin, unfortunately.
