Great summary Derek. Looking forward to seeing this in Australia. Fully agree on the charger placement/layouts. Need many more stations to cater for towing or larger vehicles.
@@NevoEVReviewIreland already have a couple Chinese brands and Merc so think Ford are aiming for late 23 or early 24 so they don't loose too much market share.
Looks great for cities. Nice to see what the hard working people need bev wise. An Post could do with the small version. Would save a fortune with the start stop nature of their van use. I won't be buying one but love to see these videos. Thanks. DES
Applications can now be made for large panel van which SEAI will classify as N1L. The grant amount for these vehicles is €7,600. The grant will be for new large panel vans (BEV only) with a technically permissible maximum mass of exactly 3500kg (N1 category vehicle). Large Panel Vans with a price, excluding all grants, rebates, incentives and inclusive of all optional extras, delivery charges, metallic paints etc. of €90,000 or less will be eligible for this grant.
You have way better options out of the states. Is the e transit custom available on Ireland? Way better range, way more practical. I have an E Transit only because it's the only e van available in the states
Thanks for the comment Steve. Custom is hopefully coming this year. Have a look at what's available in Ireland/ Europe here ruclips.net/p/PLXEEmF91waiE4xygllMz0MH5mDVyvzafd
Completely unaffordable, multiples the cost of a secondhand diesel equivalent. For the average person, EVs are a waste of time and resources with respect to achieving climate change targets... but I'm sure they'll make smug rich people feel good about themselves.
Thanks for the comment both. Ex Vat. Very much for the larger organisations at the moment who can see the total cost of ownership and pay the difference up front.
Ford transit vans give a lot of trouble and have very bad name and bad sound hand value. Most main dealers wouldn't take a Ford transit vans as trade ins because they can't get rid of the vehicle's..I know from experience

Thanks for the comment. Do you think you'll get it soon?

The Ford E-Transit Custom is coming this year and perfect for An Post etc not needing big volume in the back.
Great review Derek I've a lot if experience with the Ford Transit and I like the spec. Regards Jim's Shed
Thanks Jim. I'm looking forward to watching your Buzz review on your own channel later
I am looking into contacting an E Transit into a camper van .
A great idea!
I've been waiting for this one, PLEASE let it be afFORDable..........
Total Cost of Ownership yes but it's a bit pricey upfront
Cracking camper van that could be
Yes it would be! Lots of space
Plenty of EVs on the road during your Dublin test drive... Times are a changing.
I'm in an EV hotspot to be fair but yes, the wave of change is happening

€70k for a van! Is that with vat or not? Saw a German blogger calling €85k early today and nearly fell off the chair….
