I think what made hardwired to self destruct so great was that it was the celebration of all the decades of Metallica. It's the album that can bridge the gap between old school Metallica fans and new school ones
That outro gets me every time. Always brings a tear of perfection to my eye...Best thing about this album is that my 2 daughters ( 5 & 8 ) are singing along continuously and want to know more about 'tallica. The power of good f@cking music
This song takes the cake, for me. This is the epitome of the entire album. My personal favorite on the album. This and Spit Out the Bone just make this album great. Great ending songs on both discs.
everyone has their own taste and opinion but I think this is James's best vocal performance ever on a song been a fan since they started and his vocals are on a different level here
One of the best Metallica songs ever, easily one of the best from their newer works. That ending is exactly what Metal is supposed to be like, that is how you get someones head banging even if they hate head banging.
It changes through all albums. For example, it sounds different in the Lightning or Kill Em All and in the Magnetic or Hardwired. But in every album it sounds amazing
This album is truly amazing. Have listened through it a couple times a day since it was released on the 18th. Right of the bat Hardwired, Atlas, Rise!, Moth Into Flame, and Spit Out The Bone, I loved. The other songs not so much, but after more listens through the album, I truly appreciate every song on this album. It is a modern Metallica masterpiece. Their 21st Century Master of Puppets
Dude this album is really good but do not forget that Black Album had Nothing Else Matters, Unforgiven and Sad But True...I mean no song will ever be as good as those three combined...
Its exactly one fucking week that i'm listening the whole album twice a day ! But this song is something else i feel, you can have anything you want in it, PASSION, ANGER, EMOTION, DECEPTION, POWER, STILLNESS, RAPTURE, any other fucking thing you want to hear and feel...
I tend to have a hard time getting started with this song because it builds up from such a slow beginning, but every time it just pays off with goose bumps and chills down the spine from that epic finish. I just wish that they would have kept on for another 15-20 seconds and have faded out at the end.
I almost cried at the ending not because that outro is so beautiful to listen to. Before the album came out i thought it will be DM 2.0 but i was totally wrong this album is a masterpiece, this is the album that shaped modern Metallica, yeah they are old but the musician side of them are not. fav song: Atlas,Moth,Halo and Spit.
Yeah, one of those stand out songs of the album, absolutely epic! That ending is for me best stretch of music on the whole album, just can't believe how good it is. As you say, video is also pure art, fantastic. Guys are just genius, making video for every song and all of them are really good, simply revolutionary move! They created something great and totally eliminated the need for fans to upload the songs, how smart is that! Anyway, I still can't believe that along all these great new stuff we still have Hardwired, Moth and Atlas on this same damn album, how epic is that! What and album, masterpiece!
I've been a fan since the beginning and this album seems to connect every past album together, along with a new vibe. This album is definitely a masterpiece! I'm fortunate to be living in an era to see this.
what i truely like about metallica: each of their album sounds and feels different. other bands for me all sounds the same. Only metallica manage to make me feel different at every comeback
The outro to this song feels like an evolution of Fade to Black in a live setting. Watch the video again to see James in the crowd enjoying Kirks' solo lol The theme seems to be about battling your inner demons.
When Metallica released their new album back in 2016 I was blown away and I had goosebumps right away made me wanna jam took me awhile to learn halo on fire confusion atlas rise now that were dead spit out the bone 🤘🔥🔥🔥
This is a mean song, I love hardwired My mate told me that Hetfields voice is totally fucked now ,I told him fuck off it is Mean video as well keep them up
Loved the reaction Matt! Love this song so much, James his vocals in this song are just so amazing! definitely worth it to learn to play! its amazing to play! and already at 2K subs man! keep it up! ur doing very well man! \M/
+Cevin van Calis yeah dude!! I love it!! And thanks bro!! I emailed you your discount code for the merch store for sending me your video dude check it out
I was astonished to hear this song the lyrics guitar and drums all blend in perfectly the tone switch always give me chills and kirk solos are beautiful one of my favorite songs on the album and i also play guitar and i was so hesitant to learn this so because its just such a beautiful song i didn't want to mess it up.
I was especially looking forward to you reacting to this one. What a song! It's tied in first place for me, along with Moth, Spit, Dream, Atlas....etc lol
I've watched all your reaction to 'Hardwired...' videos and love them.. They're exactly how I felt when I heard them first time. What an album! LOve it!
This song is just on another level, i'm just waiting for your Spit Out the Bone reaction. I hope you lost your mind with that song! Greetings from México city!
I love this song as well. Not the heaviest song in my opinion more of a hard rock song written in a simular style to Fade to Black. His singing on this album is amazing. It is my favorite vocal performance from Hetifield up to date as far as albums go besides And Justice for all where he was all power. I like his vocals here even better than the black album or any of the loads. I love this album!!!
Hello, like to say that your reaction's are awesome and somehow reminds me of my own reactions, though I don't really care for recording them... My opinion of this album is that it's a fucking MASTERPIECE.. so damn tight, the riffs give me creeps and chills hand in hand on my back... Metallica had a decade of not so good music coming out, but honestly I think this album shows how important it is to have a creative bass player who don't use a pick... Best album so far, and Metallica are definitively back on track and better than ever... the always have been and always will be the greatest band ever... Hope it not takes another eight years before the next album :) peace out on rock on mate :)
Hey Matt cheers from Saskatoon ( may have to Google that lol). Love the channel, same taste in music 🤘 ! Curious if you've ever had your hands on an ESP Vulture. Thinking about buying one but I've never been able to hold one.
James is like the old lion that still roars even stronger to claim that he is the king
One of the best Metallica's songs ever!
i can agree with that yeah
I'm totally with you turned into one of my favs of all time after a while
a mix between fade to black and welcome home.
@Shane Culliton hope the new stuff is as good as this.
@Shane Culliton they did say this year , but i dont know , the last album came out of nowhere so let see.
I think what made hardwired to self destruct so great was that it was the celebration of all the decades of Metallica. It's the album that can bridge the gap between old school Metallica fans and new school ones
R.A.s Reviews yea , I heard a little bit of load and 're-load, , and from ajfa mop kea rtl black
R.A.s Reviews yeah, except for the stubborn ones XD
This is the best album so far in terms of James' vocals. My opinion.
Agreed, Halo on Fire, Dream no more, Am I savage, Moth into Flame, Spit out the Bone and Atlas Rise are incredible in terms of vocal sound
Majid Khalid Agreed, as well. My favorite vocal performance from Hetfield... next would be Justice.
in my opinion his best vocals are on Kill Em All
@@DannyGadish lol my 17 year old cousin can sound the same as James on Kill 'Em All xD
@@legendairy1810 welp, that comment was 2 years ago. I'm actually 17 now lol. Anyway, Hetfield's prime was the same as Lars imo, 1987-1992
One of the best song they've ever written
i could agree with that
That outro gets me every time. Always brings a tear of perfection to my eye...Best thing about this album is that my 2 daughters ( 5 & 8 ) are singing along continuously and want to know more about 'tallica. The power of good f@cking music
+Jordan James same happens to me Mann! And you have some very cool daughters dude!! HELL YEAH!
Matt The Riff Master , fully intending on taking the oldest to a metallica gig when they're next in the uk.
+Jordan James nice dude! Hope they tour soon!! I know it's not anytime soon but fingers crossed it won't be too long
This song takes the cake, for me. This is the epitome of the entire album. My personal favorite on the album. This and Spit Out the Bone just make this album great. Great ending songs on both discs.
+AJ Nemesis hell yeah dude it's an amazing song!! One of my favourites
AJ Nemesis One of my all time favorite Metallica Songs now, vut yeah Halo On Fire and Spit Out The Bone are Incredible.
Agree! The two best songs on the album though I love pretty much all the songs except one or two that I just like.
My favorite in the album too. I love how the song twists and turns, and changes and builds. The song is structured like a good movie
everyone has their own taste and opinion but I think this is James's best vocal performance ever on a song been a fan since they started and his vocals are on a different level here
+Aaron Mcclure yeah dude he really steps it up in this song very powerful
I absolutely love this album man. I hope they carry this momentum and start writing a new album asap
hell yeah dude! me too!
Garrett Rob said in an interview that it definitely won't take another 8 years for the next album to come
Metallica has their mojo back, lars has been practicing too
One of the best Metallica songs ever, easily one of the best from their newer works. That ending is exactly what Metal is supposed to be like, that is how you get someones head banging even if they hate head banging.
He's voice has gotten better over the years...
like metallica music overall
It changes through all albums. For example, it sounds different in the Lightning or Kill Em All and in the Magnetic or Hardwired. But in every album it sounds amazing
This album is truly amazing. Have listened through it a couple times a day since it was released on the 18th. 1stFallschirmjagerRgt agreed! for example I didn't like Here comes revenge, halo on fire, or ManUNkind at first but now I love em!!
This song is greatness but that outro makes in legenday! Headbang with tears in my eyes 🤘😢🤘 thats metal ha
fuck yeah!!! a lot of these songs i got quite emotional in a good way which is the amazing thing about music
Headbang with tears in my eyes...you sir won the internet for the decade :)
best album since the black album
DWD Wizard This album smokes the Black Album, in its totality. This album does not have 1 bad song. Black album has a few fillers.
Dude this album is really good but do not forget that Black Album had Nothing Else Matters, Unforgiven and Sad But True...I mean no song will ever be as good as those three combined...
Anthony C. Hardwired, ManUNkind, Here comes revenge, Am i Savage, Confusion. Pretty filler to me
Its exactly one fucking week that i'm listening the whole album twice a day !
But this song is something else i feel, you can have anything you want
in it, PASSION, ANGER, EMOTION, DECEPTION, POWER, STILLNESS, RAPTURE,
any other fucking thing you want to hear and feel...
HELL YEAHH! totally agree
A masterpiece of a song!
sure is my friend!
I tend to have a hard time getting started with this song because it builds up from such a slow beginning, but every time it just pays off with goose bumps and chills down the spine from that epic finish. I just wish that they would have kept on for another 15-20 seconds and have faded out at the end.
yeah dude! i love it gives me chills hetfields vocals on this are amazing

fav song: Atlas,Moth,Halo and Spit.
I'm with you dude i felt that way almost if i was so proud of them ha ah
+Matt The Riff Master exactly
they nailed it
DM is still great in my opinion. It was their return to thrash.
Kirk's the whole outro is probably kirk's best performance ever.
Yeah, one of those stand out songs of the album, absolutely epic! That ending is for me best stretch of music on the whole album, just can't believe how good it is. As you say, video is also pure art, fantastic. Guys are just genius, making video for every song and all of them are really good, simply revolutionary move! Anyway, I still can't believe that along all these great new stuff we still have Hardwired, Moth and Atlas on this same damn album, how epic is that! What and album, masterpiece!
