I don't get all the comments about her beauty in her 4 year "prime" of 80-84. Insane, this woman was drop dead gorgeous throughout the 70s, 80s, 90s and is STILL nearly flawless 50 years later.
If you truly don't get the comments you're referring to, then I dunno what to say... I get that Stevie was likely amazingly beautiful from 1948 to present, but people are pointing out their favorite era of a multidecade transcendent performer. Do you REALLY not get that? I mean, if you think it's the same today, why are you even watching a performance from 1983? Likely the same reason we all are.
@@BPoweredLove She was MUCH hotter before her mid-80s Glam Days. 1979 Stevie Nicks is Goddess material. So, if you don't understand that, just put it in your pipe and smoke it, you'll understand some day... maybe

This is probably my favourite Stevie Song, it sounds so modern and old school at the same time. Her voice is on another planet and she was beautiful in her prime.
chickimac1 and she didn’t have to be almost naked , she was always really covered up in her long dresses boots and shawls but still Just oozed major sex appeal. The real deal for sure. Not to mention one of the hardest working man or woman in show business. LEGEND
I love Stevie. Her voice is so unique and no one sounds like her in the music industry. I have much respect for her because she kicked her addictions and have been clean for many years now. :)
Damn man, listening to this song I had the same thought. And know the first comment I see is about "I've there was a timemachine" Couldn't agree more...
I've heard so many live versions of this song that it's odd hearing it like this. The sound mix has the synths pushed down, which are the back bone of the song, and just robs the song of its usual heft. Stevie and Waddy are bringing it just fine, which surely helps. The song was brand new, and so, maybe it's just a fact of that alone which makes the sound of it a little less than what we've become accustomed to. The US Festival was on Memorial Day weekend, and The Wild Heart wouldn't be released for another two weeks, thereabout.
Nick Michalak - This is actually a re-recorded vocal. The sound of the original has mic problems so Stevie had to redo this and a few others for a broadcast on television. I'm sure the original performance is here on RUclips, and I am almost certain that the music is slightly different too.. I remember there being more synths...but still very raw.
Waddy's certainly played with anyone and everyone thru the years. Yeah, Stevie is something else, complicated to say the least but a part of many people our age and our kids too. You keep doing you Stevie. (I love being retired and getting to revisit and learn ing things I'd missed.)
She was overrated and had no morals a druggie drunkard and the only attractive thing about her was her hair cut..she is no Maggie Bell from the Scottish band Stone the Crows
YAY for Waddy shredding on guitar at just the right times to give that distinctive sound of the song. And Lori's obvious standout backup vocals. All gel together for a mesmerising performance!
ChildOfThe1970s because she had much more than a body. Great pipes, song writing ability. She probably didn't show her legs because she didn't like them.
It's so strange to find out so many years later that this song was inspired by Prince's Little Red Corvette and he played the synthesizers for this song. There are moments when you can hear hints of Little Red Corvette, it all makes sense to me now.
Actually he only played the bass keyboard riff, and they looped it throughout. Lisa Coleman, the keyboard player from the Revolution did the keys in the whole song.
This song saved my life ,while in Hawaii visiting an active volcano I went to close to the edge and was forced to try an end it all or try and make it, when all of sudden this song came on and like a miracle it Told me exactly what to do! Even cocked out (since she was addicted to cocaine from the mid 70´s to the late 80´s, I assume that she was high on coke here), she still sounded well and could hold herself together on stage. No wonder that her output of music in this period was very large (as a solo star and as a member of Fleetwood Mac). I know that many other rock and pop stars like Stevie Nicks, her other bandmates was on drugs at this time period. As some people did not think about the negative effects of drug use in the 70´s and 80`s. I believe that people who get addicted to drugs have mental scars and that they try to numb the pain with drugs. Once your life goes well (both personal and with your professional career), you don´t need to get high to make it through life.
Don't know about cocked out, but she was clearly coked out......you had to ask all her many previous lovers about that. No one stayed, so she must have not been that good.
Vibes With Kourtney The 1982 US Festival had Pat Benatar as the other female lead. That year Fleetwood Mac played. In the 1983 US Festival there were more female leads: Berlin, Divinyls, Emmylou Harris & The Hot Band, Missing Persons, The Pretenders, Stevie Nicks and Quarterflash.

one can hear the "Little red corvette" base in the rhythm base !
Sound pre-recorded
Makes her sound more like a Seattle band. Kind of cool.
@David Harrell yea i think Fleetwood influenced alot of grunge bands vocally and the alt tunings.
80-84 she was at the peak of her beauty... Jesus F**** Christ! What a woman.....
So, she was ugly in the Rumors era... gotcha.
This woman has been notably gorgeous since the Buckingham Nicks debut (1973)
That platinum voice. Wow. Stevie’s a national treasure.
