Once again you see the complete incompetence of the judicial system. This judge literally broke state and federal laws with his "secret" meeting and punished the attorney who was legally obligated to call him out. ANY decision he makes will EASILY get overturned on appeal, he broke the law. This judge is not qualified to be a school crossing guard. He is in the same breath as Alito & Thomas in regards to corrupted thinking.

The judge can't make this decision, he's a biased party to the ex parte meeting he had. Defense attorneys can call him as a witness now, so a neutral judge has to take the motion to recuse. This judge will eventually be removed from the bench and his career is over, and possibly the prosecutors as well.

To ask a judge to disqualify themselves is the proper thing to do in the process. You have to make a record of it. Then go from there.
