My mother is suffering from Oral Linchen Planus since last one yr.
She is not able to eat food due to extreme pain in mouth.
My mother Lost 10-12 kg weight in last one yr.
The skin of Palate peels of sometimes.
Her age is 60 yrs. She is not having any other health problem except this.
CT Scan, X Ray all are normal.
Before this in our family, no member is having this type of disease.
Need your help.

Hi. Which doctor should i show to for burning mouth? A dentist or a gp? I suddenly had this very bad burning sensation in my mouth while sleeping at night. The roof of my mouth burns and my inner cheeks too. Its causing severe headache n strange burning in my eyes too. There is a sour saline taste in my mouth. Since a day i also started with extreme throat pain upon gargles the slimy thing does not clear. Firstly u should visit a dentist to rule out any local cause of burning in the mouth..if the dentist is able to rule out any oral causes of burning..u may visit a GP as burning may be related to many other systemic disorders.

Do u imply to talk about left side of tongue..coz taste buds are in the tongue..n nasal drip is not related to burning..thats a completely different problem altogether..n upper left part of the jaw burning is inside or outside the mouth..any lesions on left side outside on the face?
@@fortheloveofteaching-drshi5011 Yes correct. left side of the Toungue. Upper left part of the jaw inside the mouth. The feelings is mobile in toungue, upper jaw of inside mouth, near the tissue after wisdom tooth etc. It feels like sometimes scratchy, sometime pin prickle, sometime sour taste, sometimes burning (very slight). Is it Burning Mouth Syndrome? Cause my endoscopy is clean. Did it arise due to Acid Reflux?
So sir sour taste may be due to wisdom tooth eruption sometimes..wen there's pus collection and it discharges in the mouth it gives a sour taste..or even pus in in some other tooth..moreover if u have too much of regurgitation it can give u a sour taste and burning sensation..moreover the type of pain and burning u are describing just get urself check urself for a neuralgic pain coz that can give a localized burning sensation in the area the nerve supplies..

Dear Madam,
I am going through perimenopausal phase, 4 months without periods. The last 6 months I have been suffering severe burning sensation in my tongue. Today I woke up with a a sort of burnt inner lips and cracked corner of mouth. I have no bad breath no yeast infection, not build up on the tongue, no acid reflux, no chest burn but the tongue becomes white and burns and excess saliva secrets. I brush my tongue to rid off the white thin coating. Also I suffer excess hot flash and night sweats that I can barely sleep..for the first time I have reported BP too. My GP prescribed medicines for Acidity. Last 4 months I took PPI with absolutely no improvement. Have I not determined a diagnosis yet? I used to be anemic too, now my HB is 11.9. Hi..actually since u are in perimenopausal phase..burning has been associated with hormonal changes in the body..moreover it's a stressful situation for the body..any kind of stress may also result in burning sensation.. moreover since u r on antihypertensives, if u have watched the video I have mentioned that they cause dryness in the mouth..which can in turn lead to burning sensation in the mouth..this may be checked with ur GP who has prescribed u medicines..n the changes of medicines may provide u some relief..since u complain of some white deposits on the tongue..kindly get it checked by a good dentist for any kind of fungal infection..hot flash and night sweats are due to bp..do you have any kind of bubble formation ulcer or any kind of peeling in the mouth?

My BP was 100/150, now it's 80/120. GP has given Tamica 40. Recently I have observed bumps at the back of my throat like cobblestone, no ulcer in the mouth but today when I woke up my inner lips were red and a small red spot was seen. Does Ayurveda help to treat BP and menopause symptoms? Do you suggest I see a dentist?thanks once again Ma'am🙏
@@downtoearthgirl452 yes I would definitely suggest you to see a dentist who has specialization in oral medicine and radiology or a good dermatologist....n does that whiteness disappear when u try to clean your tongue..n consider drinking lots of water throughout the day by sipping..not at once .
@@fortheloveofteaching-drshi5011 yes doctor, when my tongue burns I brush my tongue for some relief. Actually nothing peels when I scrape my tongue, yet tongue remains white in colour. Also I have no bad breath. I have few cracks on my tongue. The tongue feels smooth. Only the tip of my tongue is pink. Yes, I will surely see a dentist right away. Cracks means it's fissured tongue..u can consult a good dentist and get a thorough check up done..and they will mostly prescribe a course of multivitamins and also drink lots of water..it will definitely help you..even though the haemoglobin is good .there are lot of other vitamins the deficiency of which can lead to burning..which will not be seen in ur blood picture..take care..😊🙏

I have had peptic ulcer n had cronic acidity problem with which my burning started from stumach then it came to esophagus n now its only in the mouth at times throught n at time may b when im hungry i cant figure out.
Yes sir..GERD is one of the reasons for burning sensation in the tongue and mouth as well..
U mainly need to take treatment for ur GERD and it will start resolving on its own..n get it checked by a nearby dentist for symptomatic treatment coz we give a combination of cholinergic drugs steroids and sometimes antidepressants as well if the need may be..
@Ruks. P. Yes stress will be one of the major contributing factors..that's y antidepressants gave u relief that time...just visit ur doctor once again and tell him this history...he/she might modify ur treatment a bit..

Burning sensation may be because of regurgitation and vomiting as well..please get her checked by a good gastroenterologist..anywaz u can mail me pictures so that I can rule out any oral cause..but she has a history of vomiting which is a major reason y she has burning? Is she taking any medications??

Please get her checked for dryness at this age it is very common due to a lot of reasons..start with her drinking sips of water..and Wetmouth three times a day with some antifungal.mouthwash or ointment..it will definitely come down..

My mother is having burning sensation in mouth and tongue scars since 1 year. She took steroids named wysolone tab for 15 days, alcohol free mouth wash and one ointment for pain relief in tongue. During the time of medications it improved but when stopped it reappeared again. She is hardly able to sleep and 61 years old. She had allergy problem also. Took lot of of medicines fo r boosting up immunity. Really help me out.

Im sharing our own experience. We went to hospital and got treated for oral ulcer And doctor tested some other test too. Got negative in the result. Before asking to this Doctor I was pretty sure my mother don't have either oral ulcer or oral cancer. So, Please go to good hospital for diagnosis.
According to my mother's case, this Doctor told me that it may be due to dryness(I don't know why doctor deleted her comment).
So, she suggested to use oral mouthwash everyday 3 times.
And she strongly suggested me to drink water by 'sipping'.
It really works. It really helpful to my mother to get recover. My mother is following this everyday.
I suspect this dryness problem may be due to chemicals in the hair dye. So, i forced my mother to stop hair dye. Alternatively, We used to make natural hair dye in home itself by following this tutorial ruclips.net/video/0VkCufEmxSQ/видео.html (i don't believe any hair color company saying their product natural).
This henna hair dye also helps the body cools additionally to oral mouth wash.
My mother body temperature is little bit higher than the normal. So, she didn't affect by cold by this henna, you have to use some additional ingredients to prevent cold when applying henna, if get cold. So, this henna hair dye is ideal for my mother.
So, i strongly suggest you to stop hair dye and make yourself.
By following this, my mother saw the result over some months.
Now, my mother is greatly recovered.

@@furiousfragment7082 just last two days..it's not a concern then..there must be some local factors involved..just try to avoid hot spicy food for 1 week..if there is a recent change of toothpaste..then change it..and take a multivitamin for 15 days..n reduce your stress levels..it will be fine..since there's no history whatsoever..t.c.
