    We have the tilta controller with the kit. That and the DJI wireless controller module means I can control the gimbal direction and via M&C app the camera settings and assist. It’s a mint setup for rollers for sure.

      That’s a great setup Drew and something we’re going to move to next for our rollers. Do you have any interference during the filming with the wireless setup? Sometimes ours glitches out. But we do have it mounted on the e truck with a lot of metal in the way 🤷‍♂️

      @@Pulse8Reviews yeah we use the FX3 to shoot via BT connection which can be temperamental. Nothing a disconnect and reconnect hasn’t fixed. The tilta handle for gimbal control has been rock solid for me though but I do take the long cable provided in the hydra kit as a backup to not lose a shoot day should it bug out. I do sit in the back seat to be as close as possible and we use a VW Caddy as a cam car. I can get some cool shots panning the gimbal off a vehicle and double tapping the trigger to make it quick return to center. I just wish the software had “home” position as save/assignable. Could make for some much more dramatic moves. Generally I get the best moves via the subject car driver. So much fun. Fave part of my job working for a luxury dealer. Hydra aliens Easily worth the cash imo.

      What you using it with and have made any modifications to it?

    Does their elec pump version come on automatically when it starts loosing suction, I haven’t seen anyone demonstrate that by lifting up on one corner to make it loose suction to see if it comes on by itself. Otherwise the expense is completely useless.

      @Pulse8Reviews  Месяц назад

      I confirm it does, that’s the whole point of it. When you remove it and it’s still on, it’ll continue to pump away until you switch it off. We always use it on outside of cars, it just gives you that peace of mind 👍

    yo, love the content and the professionality of it! and also what would you say is the best camera to get if your moving up from intermediate to expert?

    • @Pulse8Reviews
      @Pulse8Reviews  Месяц назад

      Thank you so much. Depending on what you’re using now, it would be to go full frame mirrorless. We use the Sony FX3s mostly, the only step up really would be the FX6. What are you using now?

      @@Pulse8Reviews a Canon EOS R5 so its in that full frame mirrorless range but idk the route to go after the R5...

    Love shots from cars, but have DJI Action 4 on an a pole budget

    • @Pulse8Reviews
      @Pulse8Reviews  Месяц назад

      The Action is amazing for car filming and good idea putting it on a pole. We use them too and mount them on our clients cars for some real creative shots. The next step up would be the Osmo Pocket 3 so you can turn it for more dynamic shots 👍

    too stiffed and way too high for filming sport cars. The setting for car mount is critical, only user/owner will be able to figure it out. You need to do something about that shock absorbing head or you can add weight to it to make it less active. With that head you won't be able to get good shot. And they just released their new video on their upcoming hydra pro. Better shock absorbing head. Good luck

      It certainly took a lot to figure it out and I wouldn’t say it’s perfect at all, but the price point, I’ve got no complaints. The hydra pro looks good, but the video I saw it seems it’s for the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 or your phone? 😆🤷‍♂️

      @@Pulse8Reviews That's the hydra mini. The hydra pro is a heavyweight machine that can use the ronin2.

    Where do you do your “car filming” is it on a track or private road, it looked like motorways to me?

    • @Pulse8Reviews
      @Pulse8Reviews  3 дня назад

      Just on public roads with the rig and on the motorways filming from the back seat of the truck. Also worth noting that we’re insured for it all just in case the police pull us 🤣
