If that car can be rebuilt after that bad of a wreck, I’m willing to bet DDE’s Murci can as well. Although I don’t know specifics of how bad Damon’s is.

@@beans2358 All the things you mentioned are body panels. Very easy to replace. The main worry is the chassis because it's structural.
@@beans2358 if that’s all what it needs, then it’s totally salvageable. I’m assuming something happened with the chassis of that Murcielago, otherwise he would’ve made an effort to restore it by now.

@@beans2358 Which if he can get it for cheaper than what he gets through insurance it makes sense for him to go that route. Since August is the one that wrecked the car he's 100% getting a check for it.

At 6'5" Ed makes driving a Murci look like Mario Kart. I love seeing cars like that resurrected, because they make the best drivers.
I still remember Batista's MTV Cribs. He had a few cars and a chopper, everything white. One of the cars was an LP-640 and he showed what it looks like when he climbs in and his seating position. Was about what ed looked like and he even said he had longer rails put in, so the seat can go further back lol

The Bizzarrini V12 is just a legendary howling engine. The Bertone lines are timeless. I love how slick it looks with the SV wing. I also love the more standard LP640 version.

Murceilago SV > aventador SV. Especially in the noise department the murceilago sv is better.

That certainly is a cool car. You could consider doing a manual swap since it’s not a clean title car.
Don't quote me on this but I'm fairly certain that swaping the transmition on those cars is effectively impossible.

Single clutch is part of the SV experience, in my opinion.

@@logantaylor8354 it is extremely difficult and costs an insane amount,but has been done successfully multiple times. Driftworks, AGX, and a couple others have successfully done it, with there even being a couple successful swaps on SV cars, not only LP640s.

I'm a tall guy, not as tall as Ed, but when the driver's seat is so small that I could just drive with my knees, that is a big no for me. Watching Ed looked cramped is like watching Hoovie contort himself into the Countach.

Cars are not made for tall people. I’m only 6’3 and there are many cars that are either very uncomfortable to drive (headroom / leg room) and some that are all but impossible

There’s always been something about the SV’s for me. I can’t remember which video game I first saw one in but I’ve always loved them.
I’ve seen one in real life and they have such an aura about them, especially knowing what they are.
And that red! Absolutely stunning color for it.

Okay but how often would you take a really pristine one for a joyride. I definitely wouldn’t, so I like his idea of owning cars with flaky history that you can drive guilt free.

the older I get, the more I take to heart when a successful RUclipsr like Ed, says "owning x is far beyond my means" - but also the more it means to see where I've come so far I had rusted out 91 Accord senior year of high school, class of 2014, a year later I got a 2005 Volvo S40 T-5, a turbo-charged funky little thing that never wanted to actually car. Was forced to buy a 2013 Nissan sentra in 2016 when I needed a car that could car, but when I graduated in 2019, it was behind the wheel of a 2015 BMW 428i xDrive I bought the fall of my senior year in 2018, now I'm turning 26 in a month, as much as I miss my BMW (and track it on Vinwiki) I've had my CPO 2018 A5 for a little over 6 months, I'll buy that BMW back at the earliest opportunity, but all in all, it can seem so incremental in the short-term, and I still haven't had a full-blood Turbo/GT-3/4 Porsche - the real goal after owning a nice performer that was woefully unreliable - i prefer 8/10ths that works 24/7 over 11/10ths once a month, and a consolation AMG-S, or M-competion or an RS-5, not even an S5/m440i/43amg but its a game of inches

This video format is 100x better than you guys acting fake in front of the camera like for car trek. Way more entertaining and it keeps you hooked watching the whole video. There’s a lot of people trying to replicate the old top gear reviews and challenges but this was better than anything that I’ve seen. You talked about the car in general and then gave specifics it was awesome to watch.

The mix-up with the seats just slays me for some reason. Baby seat anchors on the driver's side! Hungarian Tavarish, you had one job and a 50-50 shot at it, and you still messed it up. :)

Come to think of it, I assume it has baby seat anchors because they're required by law, but I wonder if anyone ever has actually _put_ a baby seat in a Lamborghini. That would be the most epic possible childhood.

I honestly don't get why rebuilt cars are so frowned upon. Mind you I did search for a clean title viper for future resale when then time comes. By why not take advantage of an amazing machine for I would assume at least 40% the cost. Its not like these 60's muscle cars that sell for insane money are not full frame off cars with 90% unoriginal parts minus a vin
It truly depends where it was hit like Tyler Hoovie his Ferrari was hit in the back which makes it much more scary however the Lambo is hitting the front which doesn’t seem that bad it just depends on the damage

If you can afford a clean-title Murcielago SV, you can afford to have a couple extra vertebrae removed too. You don't _need_ to be 6'5", you _choose_ to be 6'5".

I never knew you had this. This is my all time favourite car. Dream car indeed, fell in love with it back when Richard Hammond drove it in Abu Dhabi and raced it with the SLR 722.
My current dream car is my daily, a B8.5 RS5. Sitting at 500 horsepower and with less torque than a diesel VW it’s not going to win any races, but that doesn’t stop me from wringing the Huracan/R8 based V8 out to 8500 and smiling all the way to the right side of the tach. Hope to see the SV at Caffeine and Octane soon!
Ok, the TPMS are such a common issue. I put it off for a few months, and had mine replaced a week ago. I did see that in a forum but this does bolster the fact it is a common issue. Enjoy Ed, as you know they are unbelievably one of the most beautiful and tremendously unique vehicles we can take kn the road!!

What if the seats were from a RHD UK spec car, hence the isofix anchors on the driver’s. Also the driver’s seat (UK passenger seat) might also be slightly taller than the driver’s.
Normally with tyre pressure monitor cars, you hold the button down till it beeps and it relearns the new pressure. Love the car Ed 😎
Love this video, it is nicely done and narration wise flows well. If you can’t tell I have been grading over 200 video projects as a professor hahaha. But seriously, it’s great seeing a youtuber with a format that flows nicely and isn’t too straight up and isn’t gimmicky either. I like those too, but this is just nice. Thanks for inspiring automotive greatness, as a car guy, I have collected and sold many cool vehicles, I am 44, professional driver, not NASCAR or truck driver, I deliver pizza, at night, however the pizza job pays 50k a year 4 hrs a night, I have 5 trucks and two cars a flat car hauler..one of my trucks is a low mile square body Chevy puller. Two of my trucks are old show truck's. I need to keep selling.... a pizza customer has a 70k c-5 for 13k, I gotta try a 6 spd manual, wish me luck. Can't wait to drive Lamborghini someday, like I said thank you...
In your position, I'd personally try and order the correct number badge, just for the peace of mind and to appease the gods of OCD. But either way, that's one gorgeous and awesome Murcie SV :D

I too subscribe to the ‘best value, best price’ approach to car ownership. My ‘13 991.1 came with 112k miles. My crude negotiation was spot on that day. It’s now worth 50% more. Springtime in New England is awesome.

Usually, I don't like Red cars , but damn that looks good, like the old Gallardo Squadra Corsas that came in that same color and Yellow too. I wonder what a set of Murcie seats go for ? Maybe consider some Recaro or Sparcos with Floor mounts to give you a bit more room.

At 6’9”, the “super car slouch” just immediately causes me to cringe and readjust my current posture. I know that I’ll never be a stock super car owner just due to not being able to fit in it!
How is the rebuild documented? The biggest fear I have with rebuilt cars is that they have cut corners to save money just to flip it and dont care if they compromise safety
Agreed, but I remember Hoovie mentioned Ed saying, the longer the car has been on the road, it proves the work done to restore it was quality. Unfortunately, for some of these cars you're always taking a risk here and there.
Have a good shop give it a good go over. If they clear it then you should be good. I had a rebuilt '95 E36 M3. It actually had a blue title because it had been title washed in another state but because I worked in auto insurance I found out it was truly a salvage car. I am pretty sure the car dealership I purchased from knew that also because the car was $10k under market value. Body shop and mechanic gave it the green thumb. Purchased it and drove it like I stole it everyday for 3 years. Never once had an issue.
Europe has stricter inspections than the United States to make this thing road legal again in Europe. See the rust buckets that drive around in America.
If you are worried about safety you are not driving 20 year old lambo that is less safe than 2022 Ford Fiesta
