I saw the metal framed one at a gun show yesterday. The style caught my eye but the feel was wonderful! The grip was small (front to rear), felt great and I feel it will be a hit with smaller hands. It's a very handsome gun in person with the wood grip panels being a nice touch. Crazy that this has been out for over a years now and I'm just now seeing one in the wild.
I have both p15s the polymer one I Prefer the back strap on it for more grip when shooting and I really like the aluminum one,if I had to pick just one it would be the aluminum personally
If I have to lose a safety I'd rather it be the mag disconnect, but I understand why it is the way it is. Sweet-talk production, Chad, and get these bad boys out in numbers asap!
I thought the trigger was pretty darn good and overall they felt like decent guns. I didn't care for the thickness of the metal frame version but it isn't huge just thicker than I like. The polymer version grip texture was pretty aggressive.
I wonder how many more gun sales Kel-tec will do in the State of Commifornia for having the grip safety vs. no grip safety and selling more to the remainder states?
Considering that it's rare for California to get a new type of pistol people there will be all over it. Far as the rest of the country, I believe this will go over well like the KSG did.
How did it get around the California micro stamp law ? CA has a micro stamping law for semi auto handguns. If the handgun doesn't micro stamp a unique identifying number onto the spent casing during the firing process, it cannot be sold in CA.
On such a long gun its worth making 2 narrow pikatinni slots instead of one wide. Lasers usually arrive with one wide and 3 narrow slot adapters. The trigger group should be like in the PPQ.
Big oversight that no option to turn off the magazine disconnect but leave the grip safety, who would want a magazine disconnect? Much harder to dry fire practice , can't clear propertly
Just my 2 cents. For the price of the metal framed version the price is high. With the Kel-tec name and Kel-tec's reputation.... I'm just saying that for that price you could get a kimber, ruger or sig metal framed pistol. Even if Kel-tec was taking a bath I think a limited run with a lower price would have been a better marketing strategy.
Time to make this one a P365 or GX4 sized with a PF9 capacity. Kel Tecs were never for duty service, so a small civilian self defense capacity is enough. Savage arms and many new others in this game. The problem is to make a rounded slope ramp so defensive ammo (even Win. 147gr. JHP) will feed reliably.
Looks like a trend in 2022 is to step away from using mounting plates for RDO's. Holosun and now KelTech. This gun looks like a cross between a Walther PDP (slide) and a 1911. :) SAO? Or DA/SA? Need to get the gun tested.
So, what's the cost and how much of a pain in the ass will it be to change that slide rear cover for a red dot that many people won't even have when/if they buy a P15? For the people who do have a red dot already or have one in mind, will different versions be sold with the correct screw pattern(s) or will it be sold in only one standard/generic version where everyone has to buy a new rear cover if the standard one isn't correct?
Why the metal version doesn’t have a rail is beyond me!! For half the price I’ll take polymer version all day! The meta version also has a tapered frame like the Italian made beretta 92 instead of the more symmetrical polymer version which is more appealing to the eyes for me. Keltec fumbled a little on this one although their sales will still be ok I think.
The metal-framed variant of it looks so good.
I love the fact you can see if there is a round in the chamber at a glance!

Make a 10mm version in the metal frame, por favor.
Make a paper mache girlfriend and marry her, por favor.
The all-metal version with the wood grips is a very nice looking gun. Anyone own one of these yet? How do you like it?
seriously man , it’s like a sw59 and a p226 had a baby, really like the classy look

That metal frame is good lookin, I gotta get one
Love the grip safety !!! 👍
Love this little gun! Excited to see you guys releasing something with removable grips! 😁

So, there's a subcompact that will be even smaller? Shorter barrel and smaller mag?
That sounds like exactly what i want. The 365 and shield are way too slim for me
Definitely getting the metal version when it comes out.

@@thystaff742 I actually like grip safeties.

Good question 🙋♀️. Let’s not pay attention to California and live in free states
@@DARTHDANSAN The two in the video should have known about that. Why spread false hope to potential gun buyers in CA?
You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. Those guns are not California compliant.
Commiefornia
Wish they would have made paddlemag release like the p17 and should have done flat trigger
What would be cool would be if they would make a metal frame for the PMR30... 😮
It might have all of the California features, but California closed the roster to all new semi-auto pistols a long time ago.
Personally, being a 1911 fan, the grip safety is just fine for me ant not a detraction in the last.
Looks a lot like the Kalashnikov SP-1 sport pistol. Sweet gun!
Whens that optic cover coming out?

is the rebound strong with p15?
Have you guys started selling the p15 yet?
Yes

The metal frame is still not even shown on their website. Anyone know when it's actually coming out?
I’m guessing it flopped 🤷♂️ Haven’t seen any of the major gun reviewers on RUclips even having one. Only videos from the ShotShow.
Great Video and Congratulations
When the hell is this gonna be on sale I really want it and nothing is saying when just Q2 which happens to be almost over

When does the aluminum frame come out
Looks nice . I’ll take the metal version
Waiting........

No!.... why would you think that?
@@markshippoli8918 After being in a subcompact market since 1995 with a P11 and the Grendel much before that?

Cool, now come out with a Faderal 30 Super Carry version.
30 super carry won’t catch on it won’t even be as popular as 40s&w
No rail on the aluminum🤨
aluminum with rail and i’m sold
Make a metal version with integrated 1913 rail and I'm in, 100%
Probably will never see it for sale.

I'd honestly pay more not to have a rail on it. My issue is it should've been a steel frame not aluminum.
You can't find this pistol anyplace!!!
Very innovative especially for commiefornia residents. Kel-Tec is awesome!
Even chad doesnt seem to hyped about this pistol
For a Chad, he’s quite the virgin spokesman
Why the God awful screaching noise at the beginning of the video?
16.9 pounds loaded ...unreal!!!
It’s been tooo long brother
It’s beeen two years
Awkward stare 🤣😂
