Hello. I ordered 5 of the Plus cases one week ago, Alex was a big help. Will use 3 cases now and save the other 2 for expansion. I have to say, it was a little spooky wiring funds to Hong Kong though. With the Chinese New Year, shipping will take a little longer to Arizona. Your Octominer interview convinced me to move forward. Congratulations on hitting 200,000 subscribers and for having the ability to leave your job and do this full time, that is quite an accomplishment. Your videos have helped me from the beginning and I love mining. Little bit anxious about the Ethereum merge and hoping you will help guide me through. Keep it up!

Bro, Get yourself some server racks. You can pull out the Octominers like drawers vertically or horizontally. Would save you a lot of space. And look awesome. All the best. Love the content.
One day I will have some of these cases. Hopefully before summer time where I can control some of the heat in my mining area. So sick. I think Octominer is going to be having a time frame at the end of march where consumers can order in less bulk
It is summer in Australia. I have to pull out 4 cards between them to keep 3080 cool.
Love the content. What do you do if something goes wrong with the risers or the motherboards components?

Could be a Problem if you´ve place them vertical.
Super rig on the other hand it would be interesting to see the junction temperature in this box because the cards are very close.
Could you do a test under windows to see this?
Love the channel - I have 2.76 GH/s on all server cases. Amazon sells cases with 70mm GPU spacing and intake & exhaust 120mm fans (8 total). Cases are $619 each I think. They run my cards very cool, but obviously not as slick as the Octominer ones. Only problem with this setup & HiveOS is you won't know the vram temps - my 3080 mining rigs all have to be on Windows 10 unfortunately.

I asked the same question Octo before placing an order. I'll have 3090 FE. They responded that they should fit and power is enough and 18 GA cables is also ok :) Will see. I placed wire transfer order. Probably will sell 1-2 cases.

I know that you have Radeon VII RIG's so I had 12 of them on an open air RIG and was struggling with the terms because of the heat, switched of them to this X8 Ultra and the temps are sill high, so I guess my question is what atre you doing to cool your Vii's? Any insights will be greatly appreciated.

Question on how these server cases work... do you still run the fans on the GPU or do you turn them off and only use the server case fans?
Why is the core clock at 1120 if it should be at a negative value like -200? in windows msi afterburner what value would be the equivalent?

I'm curious what the noise levels are between the Ultra and the Ultra Plus, especially with auto-fan on (you had it off actually if I'm not mistaken). Can you give an idea of that? With the 140mm fans I assume they run quieter.
Unbelievable!! 3080!! such a short space with each other and nice temps, but how it will we managed in summer?? i curious about that, because looks pretty!! and i think as well depends on model, about the air flow, for example i have mostly RTX 3070 NON LHR , MSI ventus 2X OC sends the air flow to the back, so actually it sends direct to the rig fans, and the rig fans would blow that hot air back to cards and push away, but as i tried that way, cards temp moved up so bad!! had to put fans on the rig in the other direction, is this model card specific that make this airflow.
I feel you on that buyers remorse, kinda like 3070 launch when you just barely bought a 2080 Ti (although in the end turned out to be ok)

I ordered 10 units of x12ultra back in Jan 13th. And my order still shows processing. Does anyone here have an idea when these units would ship especially now due to the Chinese new year. I would have expected it to ship before the holiday as it was early enough on an order which showed (ready stock)

I bought 2 of these to use after your last live stream and video. I didn’t realize until I received them that the X8 Ultra comes with only 1 dedicated strand per gpu. My 3080’s require 3 8-pin’s each. Can I use 2 strands per GPU? I know I’m not maxing out power of 2400 w with 3 3080’s

Mate i ordered 3 at a time and all the three came out faulty, did you had any faulty ones? One of it stopped working within 10 hours and wouldnt go back on

Suggest not to place the case vertical due to long term stress of the heat sink weight, which create chip sepration from the board due to flexing.
I don't know, but there may heat convection putting extra heat on the top cards. He'd have to test it.

Very nice, but it's way too expensive and I have to buy at least 5 pieces. And the shipping to Europe is 1500$. You could get a car shipped from the US to EU for less. This is clearly for the American market and for large farms, not like most of us here, small fish. For this price I could order 10pcs btc 12p motherboard+cpu+ram+ssd bundles of Alibaba or Aliexpress, enough rig frames, pci-e risers, psu's and I would still have money left to spend.
For that money I can make it in Europe... :)

Regarding HiveOS, when it shows invalid shares, how much is too much? Ive been tuning down the RAM speed every time I get an invalid share and the values are pretty low now. Wondering if im overkill? Just wondering how many invalid shares is too many for a day.

@@johnthomson3505 No, wired connection. Im currently getting about 2-4 per day, wondering if that is acceptable or not. Just donot know what is a good baseline on the rate of invalid shares to expect.
I wish they hadn't switched to 750 watt psu's, they are 10x as loud as the 1200 even under low wattage.

@@MeetHaoLi You'll have to load Windows OS to see that. Will be tough with a 60GB disk (included). Actually will be impossible as you would need a 80GB+ swap file to run 8x10GB cards. Disk is cheap though. It's a Linux driver issue, not a HiveOS issue, as AMD 5700's will show the DDR6x vram temps in Hive.
