My family's oldest cat loves attention. She also loves soft fuzzy blankets. That spoiled cat will come over to wherever humans are (usually my dad; he's the biggest sucker in the house) looking for attention, but she won't just let you give it to her; no, you have to follow her back to wherever her favorite snuggling spot is (she has several spots with nice warm blankies) and THEN give her attention, upon which she purrs up a storm. And then after you leave, she will shortly get back up to do it again.

I love how cats look at you when they want something, like you're the one who's crazy for not knowing what they want and giving it to them instantly.

Cat with heating pad: Our cats have one. Sometimes their are small disputes over who gets to nap on it. The smallest cat usually wins.
