A dictatorship is a system where one man holds all the official power in a state. That is about it. Hell, it doesn't even need to be oppressive or overly authoritarian (what you said about "you can't move"), although dictatorships commonly have those traits.
The thing is, all this corruption, this oppression, this bias, this "cage", as you say, is not even a dictatorship-exclusive, and it can happen (and it happens) in our democracies, and that is exactly the point I think it is important to say and a lot of people don't see.
A lot of people falsely say "this is a dictatoship" when in reality they should say "this is overly corrupt and unfair" and they would be completly right.
