Police agencies don't care of your background. They'll train you their way. Liability concerns require police to respond according to their training and protocols. Our Bureau of Municipal Police Training never mentioned military experience. Checking ID cards on gates don't help for anything.
Can you go on your phone or listen to music when working at the gate when there isn’t much traffic flowing thru?
When you aren't on shift yes. You usually will do 30 min checking id's then 30 min off
What’s the process for trying to get into Raven
The most sure fire way is to get stationed at an Air Mobility Command that offers the raven program.

No, we can go sit in the gate shack when someone else is working the lane.

Do you get LEOSA at 18 years old in Security Forces?
You have to apply for a leosa. The air force doesn't give it to you. You have to apply for it yourself but have commander signature
Is security forces the one to chose for Raven
Yes raven is a job inside of security forces. Most often st Air Mobility Command bases.
Do you get any say in joining the BDG or LE side of SF
Negative. Even when you put those bases on the dream sheet you still don't have a say in what squadron you go to.

Do they have bathrooms at the gate? I heard you have to ask to use the restroom?
At my base we have bathrooms at the gates, I have not heard of one that doesn't yet.
