A beautiful carpet will add color that will draw your eye away from the imperfections, everything you have done so far has really changed the room to rustic elegance! It will look amazing when you are done!
Ohhh how lovely!! You have done such a great job! I love the colour coded snow-pole... very clever!! That's my kind of thing - Ryan laughs at me, but it works! 💚 We love Starlink!
i Love you construction DIY videos that is what going on in your life at that time. Please don't stop all your content is good I like a little of this and that its never boring. The only problem is I want more videos lol
I enjoy ALL your content Alone! This IS your life in Alaska, construction & all that comes with making & keeping a home. I hope folks understand the work is never done 😅😂
You have done an amazing job. Your construction is part of your life and living in Alaska. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing all that you do with us. Stay safe.
I haven’t minded watching the bathroom remodel at all. There’s a learning curve. If you get the chance one day, you can change the flooring to something else. If not, you’ll move on to another project with the knowledge you gained. I am loving the outside light!!! You are doing a great job!
Great idea for your snow pole! I have a log home, too, and the chinking is cracking with age. The cabin is 38 years old. I had the outside corn blasted 3 years ago, and it took it down to the bare logs. The same company restained it, and put a sealer on it. It looks like a new cabin, and am glad I had it done for maintenance reasons. Wow! Your wall looks fantastic!! The bathroom construction has been very interesting…not to “endure” at all! It is, after all, part of you life in Alaska! Not to fret about your floor seams…once your furniture and fixings are in, you won’t notice them. Your outside light is going to come in real handy! Great video!!! Love from Pennsylvania 💕🌷🐻
Incredible work, Alone! The room is really being transformed, I love it! My heart goes out to your knees though. If you will be doing more flooring, pls add knee pads to your Amazon wish list (in case Santa wants to gift you a pair ). Keep up the great work!
I am so impressed with what you have done! It looks great and I cannot wait to see the completed bathroom. I think you will really enjoy it more knowing that you did the work!!! Great job!!!
Having lived in the south all my life, its hard for me to imagine having to have a snow pole to measure snow. The deepest I have ever seen was 6 inches 1 time. We haven't had any snow in Georgia in several years. I hope it continues to stay in Alaska. 😅
Hi…Can I tell you what a fantastic job you’re doing. It’s looking so good. I’m a woman that wouldn’t even think of doing the construction you have. Congratulations! 💕 Also, a friend of ours laid vinyl flooring in a condo I used to own. He told us there are crayon like things you buy that match floor color. They melt to fill in the gaps. Sorry…Don’t know what they’re called.
The floor looks great! I think I would go over the white with a marker that matches the floors so it didn't catch the eye so much. The chinking really made the logs look like a feature. I am looking forward to the next steps.
With the seams and chips.... a chisel edge sharpie in the tan - gray colors helps!!! Blend by doing a skip mark (_____ _ ______) idea... so it's not a solid line. Work light colors first. When those seams show, use the darkest color first and that should help camo them for you. Good luck! The remodel/repairs is good info for anyone anywhere. You're doing great!!!
LOVE that spotlight!!! Thats fabulous! imperfect floors? My fix.....rugs or sharpies to cover the lines that really bother you. ;) This is still going to be a beautiful cozy bathroom!!
I love your construction videos. I've put in many locking plank floors and had the same seam issues you do when I first started. The problem is that I thought I had to use the block and hammer to make the planks fit. I used them like you did. I learned that it shouldn't be done lime that. You just need to raise up the plank you're putting in a little and jiggle it until it locks into place. A little tap is all that's necessary to seat it fully. When I beat on the plank (like you were doing) it damaged the ridges of the locking system and created visible seams. Please know that I'm not criticizing you or being mean. I did the same thing! I practiced with a couple of planks and realized that a light hand was so much better. I had no idea how fragile the locking ridges were. Hus
If your life is doing construction at the moment then i think thats what you should show!!!! Supposively we were gonna get 5 ' of snow this weekend but knock on wood it has not happened!!!!!
I don't mind watching the DIY in your bathroom as it is very unique and in a good way😊. Loved how the chinking turned out, looks great. The floor will work itself out. Maybe one year you'll update it to something you'll like better. Thanks for sharing your journey Alone.
You do very nice work, I'm sure all will turn out favorable. I'm not a fan of dark floors either, but it will serve its purpose. I like all of your videos, seeing you does my heart good. Stay safe until your next video. Jack 😃 😎😇
If you do vinyl plank again, be sure to buy one whose edges aren’t light colored. We applied some-and we’re definitely not pros! When I look very closely, I see a few little gaps, but the darker edges make them practically disappear. Great job figuring these things out!!
Hi Alone! The bathroom is really coming along! Really like what you did with the walls. Big difference not seeing the yellow foam. Hope you have a great week.
I really like this channel because I’m learning a lot about Handyman works since I’m a female and I don’t know much. That is my weak spot. Have to rely on contractors all the time and I hate it. They are just shills.
I think the floor looks great...I have seen seams in this kind of flooring when installed by professionals so it's pretty normal. I think I would use paint to fix the chip places..
I do believe whatever you do in Alaska IS your life in Alaska. The paint on the chinking looks really good. I would do it to the D logs also. Try hiding the visible seams by coloring in the joint with sharpie.
Put a large rug in there to help with footprints. You’ll still be able to see the beauty of the floor. I think it looks great! Use some Old English on those lines in the floor.
Those walls look so much better! Your floors might not be perfect but the look is a huge improvement! I had a professional install vinyl plank flooring over all the hard floor areas in my home (kitchen, laundry, entries, bathrooms) and the flooring that I chose looks like polished white marble with grey vein. Everyone always thinks it looks nice but the up keep is a nightmare and like you experience the blanks begin to separate with the movement of the home. Your flooring looks as good as the professional. I think the problem is the vinyl plank flooring. I hide mine with pretty floor rugs! Can you send over the brand and model of your outside spotlight. I am amazed at how bright it is even in the distance.
You are doing a beautiful job and I learn from you. The floor will be fine I am hoping after it lays there awhile .it’s my hope anyway the cabin walls are awesome you done very goodjob
It looks awesome. Every project I’ve ever done, I can clearly see each place that is not perfect. Other folks may not notice them, the imperfections bother me. I’ve often wondered if I just overlook other peoples errors and only see my own.
I used plastic Laminate flooring that sticks to itself as a floating floor. It was much easier to apply than the locking flooring. It is a bit thinner but so much easier. I just lined up the corner them slightly bent it and walked the adhesive sides down for a tight seam.
The chinking is Fabulous!! It makes the walls stand out and be seen.
No! Don’t stop, I love your construction videos! Can’t wait to see the finished project.
A beautiful carpet will add color that will draw your eye away from the imperfections, everything you have done so far has really changed the room to rustic elegance! It will look amazing when you are done!
Except it will be pretty hard for her to clean it and it will collect a lot of dirt. But yeah it would make the cabin a lot cozier ❤
We use lots of area rugs in Alaska.
A complimentary color of a product like old English on those seams.
@@denisefoot9823 Are you talking about the old English furniture oil? That stuff covers scratches really good on my old furniture! Good idea!
I love area rugs ....😊
Love seeing you bring the cabin to life!!! Don’t apologize. The cabin renovations are so great to watch.
I haven't been enduring the bathroom reconstruction, I've been enjoying it! Love how it's turning out!
God bless! ❤
Yes, so have I.
Ohhh how lovely!! You have done such a great job! I love the colour coded snow-pole... very clever!! That's my kind of thing - Ryan laughs at me, but it works! 💚 We love Starlink!
It looks beautiful. You should feel quite proud of your work❤

The bathroom is looking wonderful!!
I love the construction videos. You've got it all...cooking, construction, wildlife, shopping, hunting, fishing, gorgeous scenery, Kenai!
Incredible work, Alone! The room is really being transformed, I love it! My heart goes out to your knees though. If you will be doing more flooring, pls add knee pads to your Amazon wish list (in case Santa wants to gift you a pair ). Keep up the great work!
I’ve enjoyed your bathroom project and all the creativity you have put into it. Love the ideas and looks great!
The walls turned out great and the flooring looks good, your floors aren't all even which I am sure is part of the problem. You are doing a great job!
I LOVE your construction renovation videos ❤
Love snow , wintertime can be so magical. especially with the surrounding views you have,
Oh wow snow I love what you have done on the wall. Take care
I am so impressed with what you have done! It looks great and I cannot wait to see the completed bathroom. I think you will really enjoy it more knowing that you did the work!!! Great job!!!
Are you making that room to be more than a bathroom? It is so big! You're doing a great job! You're such a hard worker! ! 💞
I like your construction videos and how you troubleshoot issues.
The chinking is beautiful!
FYI, the visible light spots in the floor, try running a pencil over them, the graphite will darken them and they'll be less noticeable.
Having lived in the south all my life, its hard for me to imagine having to have a snow pole to measure snow. The deepest I have ever seen was 6 inches 1 time. We haven't had any snow in Georgia in several years. I hope it continues to stay in Alaska. 😅
You are so talented! I like the traditional color that you chose. It looks great. Good job!

Hi! I love the bone color on the log wall. Very nice!!!!
I love your hair color ❤
I love watching you doing construction - that is your life 😀

Working on your cabin is Alaskan life.
Beautiful video of the snow fall in-the forest of birch.
LOVE that spotlight!!! Thats fabulous! imperfect floors? My fix.....rugs or sharpies to cover the lines that really bother you. ;) This is still going to be a beautiful cozy bathroom!!
Looks Beautiful!! Hard work, and well done !!

I love the snow pole idea. I am definitely going to do that and smart thinking on how you marked it.
If your life is doing construction at the moment then i think thats what you should show!!!! Supposively we were gonna get 5 ' of snow this weekend but knock on wood it has not happened!!!!!
I loved watching the progress you make in these projects! You inspire me to do better. It looks great!😃

Great job figuring these things out!!
I agree not to dark of a floor and not to light. Good job.
I love watching what you do everything you do is just wonderful
Nice Job Alone!! I like the wall!!
Try the Magic Marker to cover your seams. It will work on many plastics.
Great 👍 job looks beautiful 🤩 love 💕 it keep up the good 😊 work…..
Hi Alone! The bathroom is really coming along! Really like what you did with the walls. Big difference not seeing the yellow foam. Hope you have a great week.
The logs-chinking...wow!
looks awesome. Use a sharpie to hide the white lines in the seams of the flooring!! : )
You doing a marvellous job
An area rug will cover up all irregularities. Agree about the dark colours….everything shows up!
Love it❤I like the contrast as well❤️ will be fun to decorate when all done😊
Love your style living alone doing the work yourself just love it
Your treatment of the logs looks great! Good job.

I’m loving the construction videos
Bathroom looks great! Alotta work!
Great snow pole!
You could use a furniture pen to paint the floors lines . I use them on my walls they are med colored. They do look nice though ❤
I think the floor looks great...I have seen seams in this kind of flooring when installed by professionals so it's pretty normal.
I think I would use paint to fix the chip places..
