Great interview with Duncan Jones who whose warmth and " Infectious laughter " Will have endeared him too anyone who was watching this !! From Adrian Browne 1965
Met this guy today while he was promoting Warcraft. It is REALLY cool to know that the son of David Bowie is a die-hard gamer and even wore a PORTAL t-shirt while at the Warcraft panel which was so cool. He only chooses projects he is passionate about, him and Robert Kazinsky are HUGE fans of it and wanted to serve it justice. I told Duncan that Moon is still one of the greatest sci-fi movies I've ever seen. He is REALLY friendly and humble and I TOTALLY forgot he was the son of Bowie until after meeting him and going on his Wikipedia to search for his future projects. I heard it once long ago but totally forgot. It is cool to see him do his own thing while keeping his family reputation to himself and not trying to get attention from it. VERY talented filmmaker.
Duncan Jones, what an affable character and an intelligent fascinating one. He is so much a chip off the old block. He is doing his father so very proud.
I basically have two days left to do a whole college project, so the fact that Moon was filmed in 33 days has convinced me that I'm a complete wimp for being stressed. I'm now totally convinced I can pull this off. Absolutely fantastic film!
'Stowaway' (actually good sci-fi drama) made me think about 'Moon' somehow (and I don't think very often about movies which I don't like). That's why I'm here. Cheers!
Oh btw Duncan sir, Maitake Mushrooms according to Japanese doctors is very useful in combating cancer, wish I could have told David. Also please eat tomatoes, Broccoli, Eggplant, OJ, and Kale. to your Health dear sir!
belia1313 hi there. Not an Angie fan but there is a bit there. If you look at the pics when he was very little and up to at least when he is holding the lollipop in pics during the Man Who Fell To Earth era you can see the Ang Angle. But it is tricky because it seems to me that some of his facial features taper into David’s, like the tip of his nose. His eyes are not the same all around, but parts are. My eyes definitely look like my mother’s in sections but not my right eyelid for sure, and not quite as far off from hers as in the left eye. Duncan’s nose ends similarly to David’s but I am not so sure about the outer parts alongside his nostrils. Did you ever notice David’s nose at the end of it seems to have a changed. Over the years it seems to have continued to and especially during the Ziggy tour and Isolar tours. I am a sketch artist with a facial expression focus. I lost my functional vision but I now work on a large photography project in which I research and write about the rock photography of the last five decades. Thank heavens for this stroke of luck that accommodates such a rapid visual loss during 2016/17 as my vision declined. I hope it lasts forever. There. Are over 3 million images so maybe I will catch a break! My lips are not the same shape as my mom’s. Yet they make the same shape in between them if that makes sense. My teeth are not the same on top but some of my teeth are shaped the same especially on the bottom. My mother also had these little cracks going vertically down her front teeth that I could see with my eyes when I was very very small and sitting in her lap and getting in her face annoyingly as tiny children do. I didn’t develop those in my top teeth, but they are present in a couple of my bottom teeth. Imagine that, I was surprised the first day I noticed that. It was a relief to see that my top front teeth were spared. No one realizes I have my mothers nose because when she was 19 or 20 her first husband punched her and broke it. She didn’t go to the hospital for a long time. It is very crooked but people don’t seem to perceive it because new friends that she gets to know are always surprised by it eventually, they either notice it one day and explain it for some reason the story comes up or it is mentioned on its own as being crooked. Towards the bottom, like a J. I think that is a really tragic thing about anyone, especially a mother. I loved this interview. Some answers to questions I have had a long time were revealed quite candidly and in addition to what the guy asked Duncan. How fantastic is that? He seems like a kind and open man. I knew David was putting a lot of cars into that part of raising him that only comes from a gentle father. I am always so happy when I discover more evidence that I made a wonderful choice in the person I couldn’t help but live my life with a passionate enthusiasm for his art, music and life and times. David Robert Jones. My god what a guy.
Has MUTE been made into a movie yet please? can't wait! I love the very English pacing of MOON. Please don't hate Lady GaGa for showing her RESPECT to your father. It's all LOVE, Mr Jones. PEACE We Love David Bowie Forever! We Like You Too!
The guy interviewing Duncan is seriously grating. Duncan is a smart guy but this interviewer seems focused on getting cheap laughs and cheesy crap. Far bettr interviews with Jones. Talented director and thoroughly genial and affable guy, as was his Dad.
It's always nice to see the child of a genius be a genius in an entirely different way. Duncan is a very sharp guy.
