It's a beautiful tribute to acknowledge and appreciate the service of those who have passed away. I was shocked to hear that Melanie passed away. I never saw or heard any mention of this on the news. She was a girl from Queens, NYC who was so talented and never received the accolades she deserved. Writing songs that were part of the history of Woodstock and that generation, certainly made her one of the legends of that era. So sorry to hear of her passing.

@@jonncockrell3606 Don't forget Melanie was a Baby Boomer. There were 80 million Boomers born between 1946 to 1964. The largest group of the American population in its' history. Still about 72 million (give or take a hundred thousand) are still a large percentage of the population. Besides that fact she was at Woodstock one of three women who performed there. She also wrote Lay Down (Candles in the Rain) that was written after her experience at Woodstock. She was a trailblazer and an important singer/songwriter. Her passing should have been part of the MSM News.

So glad he was taking care of his father's legacy and making sure no one used his likeness without family permission. And continued with civil rights like his only sister left and big brother. This family like other families suffered greatly with the killing of a loved one. For wanting equality for All Americans
David Gail, still young, I followed his work since the beginning.

Nerene Virgin, the Polka Dot Door! For us Canadians, especially those in Ontario, it was great to see her mentioned. As kids, we would sing the intro song and guess which day it was. Imagination Day, was my fav.

I didn't see the Melanie death in the news. I grew up to Dad playing her, and of course, the wurzels doing 'brand new combine harvester' to Melanie's 'brand new key'. It's a real memory for me, down to the pink album cover. RIP all

I knew Herbert Cowboy Coward since 1967 when he was our neighbor. He and my dad remained friends after he moved across town. He made a movie with Bill McKinny in 2006 called Dean Teaster's Ghost Town. I also worked on the movie. He was quite the character. He was also being treated for cancer.
