One of my favorite throws. Gorgiean is my favorite gripping styles.

I used the georgian grip to fake and go ouchi or sumi gaeshi, but ouchi works so well because uke expects a huge harai makkikomi and drops their weight and then you hit them with ouchi

Used to be a fan of makkikomis but honestly they are such a big risk for uke. Sensei, could you make an in depth video to the front uchi mata / yagura nage?

I like the flow portion arm throw trip Georgian... course if you lost on All of those a lot don't try a risky throw try a different one in Georgian. Idk my thoughts I liked.

I did this when learning the throw and my trainer told me no this is not judo. This is Wrestling

Almost like a single leg take down counter - they dive in badly, you go for guillotine, they stand up and you're in position 2:09

I'm a judo man and love this throw...but I've done this to Brazilian jujitsu lads and then end up on the floor giving them my back !!! It's then debate time 're if I'd of thrown you on concrete and not a mat you wouldn't of been able to take my back ...haha

I reckon if you quickly transition into kesa or go for the under hook on the opposite side quickly into side cotrol you can negate that. Especially if you clamp down on and stay tight on his arm/shoulder during the throwing phase...🤷‍♂️

Knowing from both jiu jitsu and judo on this one i can say with absolute certainty that also what works very high percentage is once you commit to the throw you immediately see yourself walking your legs around your opponent’s head. Meaning a big over step followed by a big back step with your rear leg keeping your weight on there arm an head. This most often puts you in North South or Kami shiho gatame as well. There is also a great choke available when there arm is pinned
