Another great video, very well put together and professionally edited. love the sounds of the birds and the horses trotting. I never knew the Wirral had so many horses. Great narration and information. thumbs up from me well done.
Ah, thank you Ellisio. The beautiful narration in your videos inspired me to have a go - you'll have to give me tips!
Paul T's World haha your too kind. I need to learn some of your editing skills.
Thsnk you, i loved your video., I used to live on the Wirral, and visit Caldy, and West Kirby as a child going on a train from Moreton where I lived.
Spent many happy hours. Those days children where relatively safe, to go anywhere. I’m now living in Cyprus 20 years and happy here although we don’t have the greenery of England, but we do have lovely weather, nearly all year round. I just lost my best friend Pauline in October, she used to live in West Kirby this is why I came looking for a video, because we spent many happy hours together, in West Kirby. Thanks again, a very lovely vidio. ❤.
I am so sorry you have just lost your best friend but am very happy that you have found comfort reliving your lovely memories of being together when you lived on the Wirral.
Thank you for letting me know as it makes my efforts making the video so worthwhile.
Been to West Kirkby many times, we usually catch the train from Liverpool and spend the day there! we went one time when their was a spring tide, we walked part way around the marina and had to go back! the tide beat us.
I also enjoy a walk round the marine lake - if you want to know what the Spring tide is like further round at Parkgate, I filmed a video of it on my other RUclips channel:
Bird Spectacular - Massive 34 foot Spring Tide at Parkgate, Wirral, UK

I left the Wirral 12 years ago to work abroad and this video makes me nostalgic. Thanks for posting.
Glad you enjoyed watching my video. No doubt you’ll be making a visit back here at some stage.
@@paultsworld i go back regularly and maybe one day I will be able to live there again.
I,m from Eastham on the Wirral, now living in Woodstock Ontario Canada.loved the video!... Alan
Glad you enjoyed the video. I know Eastham really well.
Most beautiful interesting friendly place in the uk ..
It is special - I agree!
Every time I watch a video, the image quality clear and beautiful 👍👍
Thanks that kind comment.
What a fantastic video and information, thanks so much!
I'm pleased you enjoyed it - thank you for watching.
I was born in Tranmere and left aged 5yrs. A Neil Diamond song comes to mind,"LA s fine but it ain't home New York's home but it ain't mine no more.
Hi Heather, thank you for your comment - I hope you enjoyed a look back at the Wirral - maybe with a tinge of nostalgia.
Lovely video. I have relatives lucky enough to live in West Kirby and enjoy visiting them. My daughter and I walked to Hilbre about a year ago - never heard so much complaining in my life but then she is only small.
That is a nice walk over to the island - my Dad took me when I was very small - it's a long walk with little legs ;-)
Love the video Paul! The Wirral is a beautiful place!
Thank you, yes - it’s a special place.
To end it all?
Thanks Paul. I am a Wirral man. Now live on the coast on the other side to this video, Wallasey. Great sunsets (and ominous sunrises !) there too !
I originally grew up in Irby, and my sister was christened and my Grandmother was buried at St. Barts. Church, Thurstaston. I still occasionally get called upon to ring the bells there for weddings if they are short handed. Great tour of a beautiful part of the peninsular. Thankyou.
Thank you for your message Peter, I am pleased you enjoyed the tour. St.Barts is such an interesting and picturesque church - once you turn off Telegraph Road it seems like a place time forgot.
:) hi Paul really enjoyed watching this, such beautiful views and seeing a part of the UK, I am not familiar with is fabulous. Nice additions too was your narration and the place names you passed by. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😊
Hi Mel, Thank you for the lovely comment - I'm not so good at the narration but am working on it! Next time you are in England you'll have to come up North.
Hello and thankyou from an Aussie Anglophile. I just loved this.
Really pleased you enjoyed it Robert - thank you for the comment.

It's a beautiful place to visit.
Thank you for watching and your lovely comment.
Of all the places I love best is wirral countryside, thrushes, pheasants blackbirds abundantly here abide. Then down to Neston, raby mere to Thurston rolling tide. What more Faithfull friend than your terrier at your side. My dad was a poet and he loved the wirral, there are about 7 more versus his name Phillip Patrick Nugent x
What an enchanting poem!
Thank you for sharing your Dad’s words about the Wirral and if you have time I would love to read the other verses. 👍
Great video and channel my friend
Danijela thank you for the comment - it’s appreciated.
Home sick after watching this video I visit the family regular in West kirby 😢
I am pleased you enjoyed my video and I am sure you’ll have a great time on your next visit.
Enjoy the video and subscribe and like. I will visit you often
and watch good videos.
Really pleased you have enjoyed my videos
Rendered me very homesick from here in NZ, thank you. However, as a local the island is pronounced Hilbree.
Glad you enjoyed my video.
I appreciate the accepted pronunciation is how you’ve described it - but as someone who moved here when he was three, I’ve always pronounced it the way I did on the video - can’t change now having lived on the Wirral for much more than half a century 😀
where can you find out when its safe to walk across to hilbre without getting cut off by the tide?
Hi Andrew, The only place to start your walk across to Hilbre Island is at the corner of the marine lake in West West Kirby - the place I parked on the video. There is a noticeboard there showing the time to cross on any particular day. However just plan on starting to cross no earlier than three hours after high tide - and start to come back no later than three hours before high tide. You have plenty of time so a leisurely stroll is fine. It makes for a really lovely day and don't forget binocular to see the seals and seabirds.
Hey my friend I found you on Nate Gordons channel and wanted to come by and take a look and very very nice channel and videos and wanted to give you a subscribe and like to your video and thanks for sharing and look forward to more..Im actually going to Port Issac next year to film with my drone and take in the beautiful countryside..I found the area from the tv show Doc Martin and think its going to be a wonderful place to visit next summer 2021
Hi Droneman, thank you for checking out my channel and the nice comments. You'll love Port Isaac - very rugged Cornish coastline. I hope you get some fabulous footage of the village tucked in amongst the rocks. There are many similar villages along the coast - bring plenty of memory cards!
Loved your video! Very professional! How did you mount the GoPro?
Hi - thank you for your comment. I attached the GoPro to the car's roof rack so it is outside the car.
The clamp I used was this one: SMALLRIG Super Clamp with Ballhead mount for Camera Monitor, LED light - 1124
It's not too expensive and is really solid.
@@paultsworld Never thought of that. Thanks!
@@paultsworld I will give it a try on y next road trip. Thanks for sharing the info.
Good luck - let me know how you get on. By the way - I 'tether' it with a piece of fishing line so even if the clamp comes loose (which it won't) the line will stop it falling. Belt and braces really. I also use a windslayer.
It's like something out of a fairy tale...🚑
Glad you enjoyed this area of the Wirral.
Hiya Paul! Sorry for the long watch. 😜
It was good stuff, and I can only imagine how long the edit took. But it was worth it...
I didn’t realize how good you were with the audio bits...2:54, 4:13, 7:31 (splash), 24:06), etc.
My favorite bit was the final clip. How in the world did you capture that walk down without any camera movement!?
By the way, you are all driving on the wrong side of the road. 😜
Well done, Paul!!
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hi Nate, Yes the edit took forever - but was fun doing. I was pleased with the splash and sound of horse trotting in the water. The camera was still on the car at the end, I have a hybrid car, so no engine noise - hence the smooth motion. I considered driving all the way down the slipway but thought it a bit steep for getting back up and didn't fancy still being there when the tide came in - we have massive tides in this region. Thanks for watching this long epic! By the way - those horses hoof sounds were real. I had the camera on the outside of the car.
Paul T's World
Awesome about the horse splashing! It would have been a horror show trying to match up an audio add for that.
Well done!!
Good like 😍🙌🤚🤚🤚💪💪💪💪💪💪
Hi, thanks for watching and all the emojis!
Sadly, West Kirby Promenade has since been spoiled by the so-called 'Wave', a horrible flood barrier that inhibits viewing from parked cars and limits the remaining width of the sea-side pavement.
That’s true. But before there were just a couple of covered seating areas, now this ‘wave’ has provided seating for anyone who wants to.
I actually find it nicer to walk along the promenade without having a constant view of a long row of cars.
@@paultsworld Don't you find the sloped angle on the new pavement annoying/uncomfortable? Probs OK, if you have one leg shorter than the other (but then awkward, when you turn around, I suppose!)
I haven’t noticed a slope but I suppose there will be one to encourage water run-off.
좋은영상 잘 보고갑니다.하루하루 쑥쑥 발전되셔서 꼭 초대형채널이 되시기를 진심 응원드려요. love so much this video. like the video is the best. As we develop day by day, Always follow your luck.I sincerely hope that your channel will be very big.
guitar song. What do you think about this.Thank you for being friends with music.
Hi DS. Kim thank you for watching my video. I really like guitar music - I see you are a guitarist!
The accepted pronunciation is (Hilbree) although the modern spelling is Hilbre it once had two e's
Thank you for watching and commenting.
and not a lot of people know that...... ex wallasey here, in New Zealand now, great video, walked to (Hilbree) many times :)
Viking settlements.
That's true - there was a lot of viking activity on the Wirral - and some large battles, one in Bromborough.
