Love the way You took the classic Dresden, made it scrappy, but kept it super simple by using strips! This is one of those marvelous patterns that make people think You worked super hard to put all those pieces together but wink, wink, we know it wasn't hard at all! Thank You Missouri Star :)
WOW!!!!! John Howard made everything right with my missing package that I was so irritated about yesterday! I am very happy with the customer service I received today!!!!! Missouri Star Quilt Company stands by their promise! Way to go! And thank you!
Wow, is this a clever way to get a complex quilt with easy steps! What I liked even better is two of the tips included in the video. First, getting a good point after stitching the top of the blade-Jenny’s hint of folding the seam allowance over as she turns it right side out to get a good point. I’ve made hundreds of these blades and getting a good point has been a challenge every time! Second, her tip that in stitching the blades together, if they don’t match exactly at the top (outside of the circle), just roll the the higher side down until they do match. So simple! Thanks Jenny. Would love to make this quilt. Putting on the list!
Every time I watch a video you guys make I find I want to buy a new tool, more fabric and make another quilt... I’m not going to live long enough to get all this done LOL 🥰
Being homebound, while recuperating from extensive abdominal surgery, your videos have been really helping me through it.......instead of just laying on the couch. I have been "gathering" supplies and fabrics, so that I can resume teaching myself to quilt properly. I've attempted it at 3 different times......but was never confident enough. I feel ready and confident now......thanks to your videos. Have been ordering through your company, and I must say, I'm impressed at how quick the supplies are shipped, and received. Thank you for helping me through this!!! Greetings from the Berkshires in Massachusetts!! XO
I'm 17 and make a new quilt every month!! I've never gotten into complicated patterns until subscribing to your channel! 😊 thank you so much, love your videos
I had seen a Dresden like this before and loved it. However, I never made one thinking it would be so difficult to make. THANK YOU for showing us how easy it is. I can't wait to make some now. Jenny, thank you for making these techniques so easy to follow!
I love the Dresdens! I made the starburst a year ago, then last week I took off one edge and made it bigger, now king size! Loved every minute of the re-make!! Oh my...now this new patchwork...I can hardly wait for morning so I can get started! Thanks for all you do to share your skills with us all.
Jennie, this block took my breath away! How beautiful the checkers look and you made it go together so easy! Thank you so very much for this wonderful block, you can be sure I am going to put this one together!!! So very excited to see you at the Trunk Show in Lehi, Utah on May 5th!!!
Got my template and couldn't wait to start cutting. I am making for myself . . . I thought. I think it will go to my son. Already had the jelly roll. So much repetition, I can do while watching TV. Thank you for this amazing pattern/class!!
Double your pleasure, double your fun! Make mine a Double Dresden!! Instead of stopping at the outside point of the blade, also make a point on the inside point of the blade. No need for a circle in the center! Just a fun suggested adaptation for this excellent tutorial, Jenny! My jelly roll order has been shipped from MSQC (thanks for the fun email confirming shipping) and I can't wait to try this Checkered Dresden (Doubled!) when my order arrives! 😘
I've wanted to do this one for a long time. I'm going to choose a jelly roll and get started on it this week. Thanks for the "easy" way to do things. Love you videos and your family
Jenny, I really do like the quick but beautiful quilts you make and love the simple instructions! I have learned so much from you. I am sure that my future quilts will be so much more interesting because of you. Thank you so much.
You are the best! I can't tell you how happy it makes me to watch your videos and learn such neat tricks. The only thing better was meeting you at Quilt Con! Forever your fan xxxxooo
What a wonderful treat this very early morning. I couldn’t sleep, so I got up and watched this video. Love it! Can wait to make mine. I am almost finished with my Mystery half square triangle quilt from your class at Road to California. First time I took a class an finished the quilt. Thank you for your amazing tutorials! Hugs from California👍🏻
Jenny I get so much inspiration from watching your videos. I have already made a couple of the quilts and several table runners you did for family. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach us.
Love love this one Jenny!! You are such a great teacher, I have been watching a lot of your video and buying your fabric now I'm going to try this one. My granddaughter just loves blue so, I'm giving it a try. Can't wait to visit you in your shops some time. Thank you for all of your help. Bless you and all your family.
Have started this in blues and I greens. I watch your videos while my hubby watches football. I showed my daughter this and she said, "I could do that."
Jenny, I've made your Checkered Dresden Quilt in pink and lavender. This quilt is beautiful. I'm entering it in a quilt show here in my town. It really is fabulous. Thanks for the idea and the pattern.
This quilt is beautiful!! It called out to me immediately so I started making as soon as the video was finished last fall. I have many pictures of the stages and it's been wonderful fun. Then . . . I had to stop suddenly. . . Sadly, this is my UFO of most pain and quilt. I have completed half of the plates and plan to start it again this fall. I plan to FINISH it this fall. It is the quilt I selfishly claim as my own (although I love my friends so much that I keep thinking I should gift to one of them . . Maybe my son's neurosurgeon?) I LOVE bragging that I am working on a quilt that has more than 80 pieces in each block! I tried to look exhausted when I said this but it is so much fun and fulfilling that I can't muster up the pity look. Lol. Thank you, Jenny for such fun and inspiration.
Jenny that is such a beautiful quilt! When I get done with my Christmas projects I will have to make one of these. Thank you so much for every thing you teach. I have learned so much from you, your explanation on how to do thing is so easy to fallow. I wish I had you as a teacher in school. Your a good teacher and you making sewing fun. God bless you! Love Cindy

Enjoyed this lesson, the Dresden has always been scary to me. One of these days I'm going to make one - this one is easy but lots and lots of sewing. Thank you for these free lessons.
Just love it. I am going to make this, but must get the correct templates. Love the colourings as well, so does my husband, he would like a king size in the same colourings.
