Love the way You took the classic Dresden, made it scrappy, but kept it super simple by using strips! This is one of those marvelous patterns that make people think You worked super hard to put all those pieces together but wink, wink, we know it wasn't hard at all! Thank You Missouri Star :)

Wow, is this a clever way to get a complex quilt with easy steps! What I liked even better is two of the tips included in the video. First, getting a good point after stitching the top of the blade-Jenny’s hint of folding the seam allowance over as she turns it right side out to get a good point. I’ve made hundreds of these blades and getting a good point has been a challenge every time! Second, her tip that in stitching the blades together, if they don’t match exactly at the top (outside of the circle), just roll the the higher side down until they do match. So simple! Thanks Jenny. Would love to make this quilt. Putting on the list!

Being homebound, while recuperating from extensive abdominal surgery, your videos have been really helping me through it.......instead of just laying on the couch. I have been "gathering" supplies and fabrics, so that I can resume teaching myself to quilt properly. I've attempted it at 3 different times......but was never confident enough. I feel ready and confident now......thanks to your videos. Have been ordering through your company, and I must say, I'm impressed at how quick the supplies are shipped, and received. Thank you for helping me through this!!! Greetings from the Berkshires in Massachusetts!! XO

Double your pleasure, double your fun! Make mine a Double Dresden!! Instead of stopping at the outside point of the blade, also make a point on the inside point of the blade. No need for a circle in the center! Just a fun suggested adaptation for this excellent tutorial, Jenny!

This quilt is beautiful!! It called out to me immediately so I started making as soon as the video was finished last fall. I have many pictures of the stages and it's been wonderful fun. Then . . . I had to stop suddenly. . . Sadly, this is my UFO of most pain and quilt. I have completed half of the plates and plan to start it again this fall. I plan to FINISH it this fall. It is the quilt I selfishly claim as my own (although I love my friends so much that I keep thinking I should gift to one of them . . Maybe my son's neurosurgeon?) I LOVE bragging that I am working on a quilt that has more than 80 pieces in each block! I tried to look exhausted when I said this but it is so much fun and fulfilling that I can't muster up the pity look. Lol. Thank you, Jenny for such fun and inspiration.

Another great quilt design Jenny. This would also be great using different width size strips and the number of strips. Imagine a really big Dresden plate as the center of a quilt top as you do for star or mariner quilts.
