Such pretty projects! This episode of Triple Play is a good example of one reason Missouri Star Quilt Co. is so relatable and fun! I appreciate how the ladies are humble and open about sharing their sewing mistakes. 😊
I thought at some place in Misty's portion something was mentioned about a pattern. I think I could do Jenny's without some instructions but the other two, I would need some help. I saw nothing under the video. Did I misunderstand? I love all three and never have made a dresden! I need to get busy.
@@noelosborne7690 Hi, Noel! If you click the first link in the description, it will take you to a page that has the three patterns on it. I've never made Dresdens, either! I hope you have fun! :)
Natalie.... thank you for showing us it's ok to not be perfect... MSQC is successful because you all allow is to be who we are! Create as you go,,, nothing more enjoyable!! Thank you all!! Hugs, GrammaBabs
I have a home based business and am an empty nester. It's been A LOT of alone time! I'm normally good with this, but with Covid, it's been kinda lonely. Your video's are so much fun, and chatty, and with all of you talking and pitching in, it really helps the day go by. I can watch/listen while I work, and I don't feel so alone : ) Of course, I wish I were sewing,, but I'll get to later. Thanks for being such a great group!! PS... I always go to your videos when I need a tip or get stuck on a project!
You know the thing I love about Jenny is that she treats Misty just as she would a daughter of her own. That's a special Mama right there that can love a son's wife or a daughter's hubby as her own. Jenny is an amazing mama for sure!
@@holiday-td6hx when i was a very young woman, a middle aged lady at work said she loved her daughters-in-law. I chided her that she was fibbing bc "no mom loves the women who took their sons away". She insisted she did. I asked her why, thinking, "this should be good." She said "Because they make my sons' so happy." SHAME ON ME!😅
May you live long and make every quilt you desire. 🤗 Personally, I just hope my hands, eyes, and spine hold up as long as I do so I never have to sit in my sewing room and stare, lovingly but sadly, at all my machines and supplies.😷☮❤🙋
Ok, when I saw Jenny's quilt I went awh so sweet! Then on Misty's I went oooo! Then there's Natalie's. I went wow and mouth dropped open. Not just the design but the colors. All 3 are fabulous!
Thank you! All 3 of your Dresden projects are wonderful. I’m inspired and emboldened to add a Dresden Plate project to my 2023 Quilts to Make list! ❤ I love all of your Triple Play shows.
Girls Girls Girls You are so good at bring us 3 fabulous quilt designs to do, I love them all each one is fun and they don't have to be big quilts we can do smaller ones to try each design ! so much fun Thank You for bring us joy and fun projects to do , have a great week !
I've been watching you ladies and i wanted to let you know your all awesome. I started using your weekly shipping and love it, I like your daily special also. And I love your free patterns offer before you do your show. Thank you ladies for all the great ideas and hard work.
As I am retired with more time then money 🤣. I’m loving the more time consuming quilt patterns. Anything to put me in front of my sewing machine makes me happy. I thank you ladies!! ♥️
I absolutely LOVE your pattern Misty! So different! But they are all GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS! Thanks ladies! Dresdens are one of my my very favorites!
My first triple play, loved it all. Couldn't have come at a better time - looking for new ideas for cushions, thank you Jenny. Never too old to learn new tricks.
So fun. Natalie's is ambitious! Jenny's is fun and Misty's took my breath away! I am making a Dresden right now, I wish I had seen this before as I love the low volume back ground, mine will be all white. Thanks ladies.
While I love ALL the quilts in this Triple Play....Jenny gets my vote as no# 1 this month! I loved Jenny's idea. Mysti's idea was awesome.....it really was. Natalie's? It was so far out of the box that this just goes to show everyone the different things you can do with Dresdens Yay Ladies, you are making the best of a Pandemic/COVID-19 and you are truly loved and appreciated so much!
Wow! I love 3s.😊 Jenny's quilt is so happy. Love repeated designs in happy colors. Misty has a very arty quilt. Ive been dying to do that design in A Needle Pulling Thread magazine. I just cant find fabrics like in the pictures so I think I'll try Misty's version. And, Natalie, double wow. It does look like peacocks going through the wild. If you put that on your wall, it wouldnt matter what else was in the room. Visitors would just be in awe of it. You girls rock!
I like all three designs and I’m enjoying the triple play segments, thank you ladies. I like Jenny’s because they’re smaller and just making one beginner block for a pillow would be great and changing to different fabrics could be for a child’s bed or a sofa or even a patio bench:) I like Misty’s for the creativity and manageability on doing a section at a time. I like Natalie’s because it looks like stain glass windows or peacocks and it’s a beautiful design and I would like to try paper foundation piecing
Jenny save your fingers!!! On the back of the heat n bond, cut a small slit before you sew it. That way you won't have to pull it apart, just slide the scissors in to enlarge the hole. Love the Dresden!!!!!
I love Triple Play --- you are each so creative and the energy among the three of you seems so positive. I actually get chills when I see you having fun and appearing to genuinely loving each other. My personal favorite today was Missy's quilt.
Wow Natalie! I was truly blown away. The Dresden Plate is my favorite quilt block and I’m always looking for new ideas and Natalie’s home run hit it out of the park. I’m very impressed.
super cute quilt, but oh my Nathalie, what a GORGEOUS quilt. I'm still working on my dresden quilt. I first stitch down my dresden and then trim back the background fabric , and then I stitch down my center.
I can't tell you how much I enjoy and learn from the Triple Play videos! You share the challenges and fixes, along with the imperfections that arise and how you think through your design and rethink it as you go. It's fascinating to follow the creative processes of three distinct designers. And you always come up with three beautiful and different designs. It's very inspiring!
I always enjoy the triple plays! I like that you show multiple ideas at various skill levels. I love Jenny’s quilt because it is beautiful and at my current skill level. I think Natalie and Misty made stunning quilts and an inspiration for me to keep quilting to work up to those skill levels! Thanks ladies!
Natalie’s quilt was so innovative and unique, she’s an amazing designer but that is too difficult for me. Misty’s quilt was stunning and Jenny’s was gorgeous too. I got up early today to watch this. I love the interplay between the 2 generations of family
I loved Natalie's quilt due to her use of jewel tones. I'm a modern kind of girl who doesn't favor early American, Traditional or Rooster & tired browns & beiges. Her quilt is a work of Artistry in Motion. Thank You all for sharing.
Love all of these! Great job ladies. When I look at Natalie’s it think of turkeys. With Thanksgiving coming “Strutting Turkey” seems so appropriate for the name of her quilt.
You guys are amazing and your quilt designs are awesome! Best of all is the companionship you offer during these COVID times. I love that you shared the “oops “ parts of your projects. Makes me feel better when I have them! Thanks to all MSQC ❤️
I love love loved Misty's project. I was looking for inspiration for my friend who loves all thing Japanese/Art Deco or William Morris and i can totally see this in any of those fabrics. I've gone from no ideas to spoilt for choice! The mini's looked darling as a cushion cover and Natalie's improv dresden geese has got me thinking in rainbows or ombre! I've never done Dresden's before but this has definitely sparked my creativity. Thankyou MSQC Ladies for cheering me up on a dark and damp February day, stay safe. x
I love the invisible thread to sew Girl/Boy Scout patches to vests and things.... I use it in the top and match my bobbin thread to what I am sewing, so much easier NOT to use the invisible in the bobbin.....Beautiful quilt, I am going to have to try this one, thank you for the inspiration.....
Hiya. The best way to make the plate lie flat is to make a quarter and then square the inner edges to 90 degrees. Then when you sew the quarters together you’ll get a pretty flat plate.
All of the quilts are beautiful. For my taste I like Misty's and Natalie best. You are all very talented. And I thank you for doing these videos!! It is very helpful. Can't wait to try both ways someday!!
I watch every Friday. I have watched all the triple plays since you started them. Today's triple play is the best yet! Loved everyone's quilts. OH MY!!! They are all jaw dropping. I love, love, love your ideas! I was amazed with Jenny’s Dresden and the color, then double amazed with Mistys Dresden design, and triple amazed with NatLies design with paper piecing! I really need to make some lovely Dresden’s. Thank you so much. Triple play is awesome!
