- In my last video I remembered famous people whose bodies were tragically lost at sea, or buried at sea.
In this video, I remember 50 celebrities and other famous and notable people who chose to be cremated and then to have their cremated remains scattered at sea.
Thanks for joining me today on another trip to the graveyard and for sharing the memories!

Hello Mr Steve always love your video's have great week my friend
Thank you Mary and you too 👍
Victor French also portrayed one of the main characters on Little House on the prairie the role of Isaiah Edwards
Very informative Steve thank you, I was unaware many of these peoples ashes where scattered at Sea. Robin Williams was a big surprise.
Many of them surprised me too Mark!
They may not have a grave, but they'll always be in our memories.
So sad to see so many that took their own lives or were accidental overdose is. Very tastefully done, Steve.😢
I agree Maryann and thank you!
@@TheGraveyardChannel Anissa Jones, Dana Plato were some of them.
Qa
🤣🤣 that was a slip of the finger
Many of us also remember actor Richard Long for the short lived ABC series Nanny and the Professor
Thanks for mentioning that John. I wanted to, but I have very limited space on the page. 👍
And Bourbon Street Beat and 77 Sunset Strip.
Agree but always think of Big Valley first when I see him, loved that show.
Steve, you can tell this one was a work of love. Many of these tv stars had huge movie careers. Their passing is tragic. Thank you for doing these.
Thank you Walter. It sure was!
@@TheGraveyardChannel that song tribute for my uncle herman thanks steve
@@TheGraveyardChannelrobin was scattered in San Francisco bay
Great video Steve. Often wondered what happened to some of these entertainers after they passed away. Well done. Thank you.
Thanks PSW 👍
Beth chapman ashes was only half scattered the rest dog owns in a casket for ashes
You mean an urn?
I can only assume they will be buried or scattered together. A truly enduring love story.
And now, I'm sad. Didn't know that Olivia Newton John was cremated and had her ashes scattered.
A portion of them were apparently scattered on her property as well.
@@TheGraveyardChannel She had an estate in the Santa Ynez Valley
I know it is very sad. It’s hard for everyone. But, she is at peace now. No longer is suffering.
Yup, that's what celebrities want anymore...cremation... sucks.
@@hestergreen2031 True.
Steve I didn't know that Marvin Gay ashes were scattered at see that's amazing thanks for that amazing video as always
I learn something new every time I make one of these videos too. Thanks BA !
Thank you Steve for sharing. I love this channel you are doing. You put so much love and compassion in each video.

Hi Frank, where did you get this information? I checked Wikipedia and Find a Grave for most of these people and neither website says they were scattered at sea. I would love to know your source, for the future. Thanks!
@@TheGraveyardChannel they were either "scattered at sea, a lake, or a river" or just ashes scattered. All did was Google an actor or actress name and do a find a grave search.
They ashes on sea
I felt the love and sadness in this upload. You, once again, have tastefully uploaded a beautiful tribute to those who have passed on. Thank you, Steve ❣️
🙏🕊️❤️
Thanks Leesa!
A fitting tribute to those who were scattered at sea. Well done!

Victor French was in Little House and the prairie along with Michael Landon and Robin Williams was the voice of the Genie in the movie Cartoon Aladdin
Adam West was also the voice of Mayor West in the TV show Family Guy.Vincent Price did the laugh in the ending of one Michael Jackson song,Thriller
Also Vincent Price did the talking on he Michael Jackson Thriller song.
Vincent Price's ashes were scattered at sea, too, off Point Dume in the Pacific Ocean.
@@pattyheitzman8635 Vincent Price did the rap on Thriller. Bet you'd never guess him rapping. He did a fantastic job. I've always loved to hear him speak. Such a refined voice.
Thanks for leaving the details on long enough to read and take in. Sad to see many people die young or get cancer in old age 💔 I’m 52 and remember having a thing for Zorro when I was a young kid watching him in the 70’s 😊
One of Jack Albertson’s famous film roles was one based at sea, The Poseidon Adventure (1972)
He was excellent in that movie
And Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
@@davidgoodman6924 I remember seeing that film; was released the year before The Poseidon Adventure
@@JohnClifford4567jwc Jack Albertson won an Oscar for best supporting actor in 1968 for The Subject was Roses. He played a cantankerous old man and in Chico & The Man. He was Ed Brown, the cantankerous owner of an automobile repair shop in Boyle Heights.
@@davidgoodman6924 as Grandpa Joe…great movie!
Steve, what a beautiful video remembering those lost. So many I didn't realize were scattered at sea. May they all RIP. 💔🙏
Thanks Megan!
@@TheGraveyardChannel may they all rip im sad help me
Adam west is batman 🦇🦇to me rip to them all each one made the world just a bit brighter🙏🕊️
👍
I didn't know that Adam West died of leukemia. I've always thought that it's a younger person cancer.
RIP Bruce Wayne/Batman and Mayor West of Cuohog/Family Guy (Adam West High School). Adam West was a great voice actor in addition to a TV/Movie actor (Hooper with Burt Reynolds).
Jack Albertson was also in Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Thank you. So sad to read how many died of suicide, drugs, etc. I appreciate your work on this.
Thanks Tom and I certainly agree. 😢
So many young ones (under 60) who died of cancer and so many who took their own life, so sad.
Steve, Janis Joplin's ashes were scattered by helicopter over "Muir Woods" a park on Mount Tamalpais, Marin County CA very near the Pacific Ocean and the Golden Gate.... Brian Wilson I understand that his family got permission to bury his entire body at sea in Southern California..
Sadly online information is unreliable at times. I did check at least two sources for everyone. Thanks for the update Bazerkly 👍
Bazerkly:Dennis. Not Brian,he is still with us thankfully. And he doesn't like the ocean.
Thank you Steve for this video. It always makes me sad to watch but didn't know so many had died young.
Me too Darlene 😢
I was surprised to learn Adam West. Another one is Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo' ole, he was a Hawaiian singer who did a beautiful job of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow! He was cremated and ashes scattered in the Pacific Ocean at Maku Beach
Thanks for mentioning him Chrystal. He was on my list to include, but somehow I forgot to include him. 😢
@@TheGraveyardChannel your welcome and it's ok. We all forget things sometimes. Keep up the good work Steve!
Another one is Guy Williams (Disney's Zorro) just learned this. He passed away in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Good job Steve! There's more than a couple on there that I had not thought about quite a while 😊
Thanks Dwayne
great tribute video Steve!
Thanks Ernest!
3 actors from I Love Lucy ashes scattered sea.
Very observant David.
Bud Abbott was an epileptic.Tony

Thank you Steven
Beautifully done. Awesome video 👍😊💙
Thank you Jody!
May they never be forgotten may they rest in peace thank you for sharing Steve and happy holidays
Thanks Dara and you too!
At the time, the JFKjr one made no sense to me. They spent many days trying to find his body in the ocean, only to scatter him back to the same ocean.
I agree Rob. I’m really surprised that he’s not buried at Arlington with his parents and other sibling. But maybe because he was married that wasn’t possible.
@@TheGraveyardChannel He should be at Arlington. But; it's too late now! 😭 💔
I wonder if the Kennedy family paid for all that search and rescue or did us tax payers pay the bill. I remember there were big ships out there looking for his plane. Also to take the ashes back out
I believe his uncle senator Kennedy over saw all
Of that and by time they found them maybe creamation was only possible at that point ?
@@kimwagner865 yes I remember watching it on TV…..BUT I wonder who flipped for the bill on those war ships not only once to retrieve the bodies but to take the ashes back out to bury at sea. You think the Kennedy family paid or did we the tax payers??
such nice and spiritual content...always...you are always in my heart, Steve! I don't know how much longer I will be able to watch but I am here as long as it be!
Thank you William and I hope you are doing OK!
You forgot Bill Bixby and Jack Colvin
I couldn’t find any information online about Bixby being buried at sea. He was cremated but his remain seem to be a mystery. Thank you for mentioning Colvin. I’m sure there are many many more that I didn’t know about.
I know that this isn't going to be a popular comment but as someone who enjoys movies, television and the history of the people who entertained for a living I feel sad when they or the family decide to give them up to the sea and don't bury them, those who can't be buried, or those who were forgotten and there was no one to tend to them so the sea is all they had left. There is no where to visit, and they seem to be easily forgotten. Guess I am being selfish to want a stone or niche to visit.
I feel the same way.
I feel the exact same way N. At the very least the family should create a Cenotaph or a memorial plaque somewhere!
Me too Harper!
Often ashes scattered at sea was by the person’s own request. Some (Richard Long, for instance) even requested there be no funeral.
@@mlbrooks4066 Dennis Wilson was the only surfer in the music group The Beach Boys. Ironic that he should drown. In his Last Will & Testament he requested that his ashes be scattered and spread into the Pacific Ocean where he surfed. President Ronald Reagan, former governor of California, saw to it.
Well done, may they all RIP!
Well done… May they Rest In Peace. 😔
Gone too soon may they all rest in peace
Rip
Wow so many scattered at sea thank you for the beautiful tribute to all the stars Steve may they all rest in Gods beautiful oceans
***THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO***

John Kennedy Jr was born early left early I thought he was so good looking
BEAUTIFUL MUSIC***BEAUTIFUL SCENERY** ABLE TO SEE MY CHILDHOOD FRIEND** BIRTH DATE** PASSED DATE** NICE PICTURES OF THEM** VERY TOUCHING 😢 THANK YOU🌞🌞🌞
An amazing composition of both the young and the old, cancer deaths to suicides, from many parts of the world to where their ashes were scattered. Well done sir! ⭐⭐⭐⭐🙄
Thank you Janet!
Steve! Do you happen to know if Michael Nesmith of the Monkees was cremated? I can't find anything. Davy was cremated and I think the ashes are with family! And Peter Tork was also cremated. And scattered somewhere. 💕
Thanks again Steve, and Jim behind the scene
Thanks John
Marvin Gaye was scattered at sea? I thought he was buried.
Great work as always Steve!
Thanks equinox
Makes you realise how wide spread cancer and heart attacks are however most of these people lived past 70 years old so they had a lot of life lived ❤ rip to all
A lot of these were before medicines for that. There wasn’t Lipitor and high blood pressure meds back in the day.
Thanks Steve for this video and for the respect that you show. RIP everyone.
Thank you DS!
Your always interesting Steve
Thanks Alex 👍
If I am not mistaken, actor Rick Ely aka Richard K. Weber, who starred in 1971's " The Young Rebels" and was on several daytime dramas , died in December , 2019 from a lengthy illness. He was also cremated and his ashes scattered at sea. Could you please verify this and add him to the list. Thanks.Excellent video.
Again...lots of work. It's in your blood to work hard and share information you find. You're amazing. I'm waving back! Happy New Year! Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Another very poignant video. Thanks Steve for your artistry.
Thank you Lana!
I didn’t realize how many scatter did you see thank you Steve good job
Thank you Thomas. I agree, there were a lot more than I was expecting. And I’m sure I missed quite a few as well.
I believe that actor/singer Michael Parks of the "Then Came Bronson" series was buried at sea! (1941-2017)
Thanks for mentioning him Sandy. I’m sure there are many more.
This is a great video Steve!
Thanks Grandmama 👍
Thank you for your hard work and dedication Steve. And for remembering with respect, the people who are gone. You do a fantastic job!
Thank you so much Jane!
Thank u for this lovely tribute, and the disposition of their bodies, post death. Many of these actors, were wonderful entertainers & made me laugh, or scared the daylights out of me, growing up. Vincent Price, was a great, entertaining horror actor. And Abbott & Costello, were really funny. They will be missed. All are missed. Looking at them, takes me back to childhood & my coming of age.
Thank u Steve. Enjoibthe holiday & be safe. All the best to u, in the coming New Year💯❄🎄☃️✝️
Hey it’s me again Steve I just want to thank you for highlighting these gay men in so many of your videos. My son was born in 1980 in the Deep South and he had such a hard time growing up gay. But now and for several years he has been leaving a wonderful life!
That’s awesome Cheryl. I’m really happy to hear that. I’m sure that having an amazing mom helped a lot! 👍
I had no idea that so many celebrities were scattered in the sea 🌊
Great video Steve!
Thanks Juli.
@@TheGraveyardChannel The two that surprised me were Joey Bishop & Peter Lawford. I've often wondered where they were buried. Like you, I'm a Rat Pack fan! Happy traveling!
Good Morning , Steve

🙏 12 / 14 / 2022 🙏
Thank you Pam!
wow
Werner Klemperer Hogans Heroes was as well. Scattered at Sea.
Victor French was also in Little House on the Prairie.
I wanted to mention that but there just wasn’t enough room on the page. Thank you for mentioning it Pat. 👍
And Carter Country! 😆
@@TheGraveyardChannel Could have put LHOTP. Little House on the Prairie fans would know that.
@@julienielsen3746 Victor French was good friends with Michael Landon. He appeared on Bonanza and other western TV shows such as Gunsmoke. He also appeared on Little House on the Prarie.
@@frankdenardo8684 I didn't realize he was in Gunsmoke so many times, until I started watching it again. Seen LHOTP since it was first shown. All the episodes many times over. Makes me think of the Highway to Heaven episode where he switched bodies with an actress. That was so funny. He did a good job.
Life is too short. 😢😢😢 Rest In Peace to all dearly departed.
Great video! I have to admit, I missed your commentary, but it was a lot of names. I hope you and Jim have a very Merry Christmas 💖🎄
Thanks Jennee and you too. 🎄😊👍
Great choice on the music. Very soothing, as well as appropriate. 👍🏻
Thanks Dale 👍
Fascinating and a lot of work was done on this one AND you gave enough time so people could read them.... A+A+A+A+A+
Thanks Tom!
Bud Abbott was born in 1895.Jack Albertson was born in 1910. Vivian Vance was born in 1913.
Nicely done Steve, thank you ❤
Thank you Ria!
I like that you used some book covers about some of the celebrities. I will have to read some of those. By the way, Neil Armstrong passed away in my hometown.
Thanks for sharing Ellen 👍

Oh no! Part 2! 💔
Very good presentation. Good job.
Thank you John!
Star Trek actor Deforest Kelley who played the role of Doctor McCoy passed away on June 11, 1999. He was 79 years old. His cause of death was stomach cancer. He was cremated and his ashes were scattered at sea. Namely in the Pacific Ocean.
McCoy was my fav character.Didn't know he & Papa Nez had an ocean farewell.I wonder where Davy & Peter are.
Thank you Steve for such a lovely tribute. Makes me want to go to the beach & scatter rose petals in honor of all these special people. I love the music you put with this video! 🦋
This is very lovely to put together! Thank you for sharing it ❤❤
Steve I don't comment on your videos enough. They are all wonderful and this one was no exception. Fascinating from start to finish, thank you. 🙂👍
Thank you Doug. Glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate the comment!
Jack Albertson also started in the original Willy Wonka 👍
Dennis Wilson was actually buried at sea. He wasn't cremated.
He was the only surfer in the music group The Beach Boys. In his Last Will & Testament he requested that his body be placed into the Pacific Ocean where he surfed. Totally righteous!
Hey Steve I’m sitting here watching this going “oh wow”! This video wasn’t just interesting it was so informative. I did not know most of these people were scattered at sea and so many of them were so young. Once again “WOW”! Thank you Steve for such a great video.
I really happy to hear that Cheryl. Thank you 😊👍
Thank you for this video.. I didn’t know what happened to many of these celebrities and that their ashes were scattered..
Wily wonka is the movie I watch when I'm sad. It manages to bring a smile to my face. When I learned Jack Albertson was cremated and had his ashes scattered at sea, my heart almost stopped. I was so hopeful to be able to see his grave one day. He will live on through the movie and TV screens though 😢
Steve hope Y'all are Great Love 💘 ❤ 💕 💗 💙 💖

Thanks Marjolein!
Missed Barry White.
Beautifully done thank you
Thanks Rhonda!
And we eating seafood from these oceans ..where they dumping human remains 😤😩😫🤮I'm just sick just thinking about that
Very nicely done tribute to those stars of screen and TV. I’d like to add one if I may. Roddy McDowall died on October 3, 1998 of Cancer at age 70. His ashes were scattered in the Pacific Ocean near his home in Malibu Beach California.
that sad
Edward Andrews is always forgotten on many lists referring to actors he was all over movies and television 50's through the 80's so very sad he deserves better recognition.
Thanks for mentioning him Nellie!
Thanks for your efforts in this. Great job! 👍
Thanks 1
