What they don't tell you is if you download the fender tone software and plug it into a USB 2.0 port on your computer you can update it and use your pc to pick amps and effects and mod them on the fly. Makes this amp 100x more awesome.
In 2019 the lt25 wasn't supported by Fender tone thats why they didn't mention it in the video
@@rarbin is it supported now? because i'm trying to update the firmware but i can't
@@javier980531 If you hooked up your fender amp to your pc with fender tone open it will automaticly update.
Is it simple to do? I have a boss me-80 and you can also download a software and connect it to a computer but it just seems way to complicated for me lol
@@juanon755 that's exactly why I haven't bought one!
I can't believe it. A guitar demo where they actually show off the gear NATURALLY! I'm so used to watching amp reviews where the guy used 18 effects pedals all costing $600 a piece so you have no idea what the actual amp sounds like.
A real refresher this one is, I agree
Yeah that is annoying.
I never seen that lol
Soooo true ;)
Ha this reminds me of a Brian May instructional video from the 80s on here, Brian demonstrating how to get his signature tone. All you need is a custom-made one-of-a-kind guitar, three amps chained in a very specific way, sixteen pedals, and one million dollars.
Don't usually sit through a whole amp demo, but this one was great.
Yeah, I really liked this demo too!
I don’t even play guitar and I sat through it. Glued!
Usually with demos I get turned off because the guy focuses on one genre or just plays something hella funky but I like how this guy was versatile
This dude gave a bunch of different sound tests for types of music. Hellyeah
Damn, I'm glad I bought this as my first amp. Now all I need to do is learn how to play my first guitar.
No worries dude. Learning on my first guitar and Fender Frontman 15G, but i'm definitely about to buy this thing.
If you've been learning to play for longer than a month, you should be able to play plenty through that amp. At 1 month, I could play 5 or 6 different riffs with pretty good accuracy. I'm only at 2 months now but I just learned 2 more in the last 2 nights.
I was looking at these but went with a used Mustang II 1X12 40W for half the price of a new LT25. Personally, I'd probably take an LT25 over a GT40 because the LT has an 8 inch speaker vs (2) 6.5" speakers in the GT40. I just went from a single 6.5" to a 1x8 and the difference is unbelievable. I can't wait til the Mustang II gets here so I can compare the 1x12 to the 1x8 in my Line 6 Spider IV, then to the crappy 6.5" in the amp that came with my Silvertone guitar. It's similar to a 10g.
😂😂😂
There has been a firmware update this year, which you should enjoy 😉
You couldn't have gotten a better amp as a beginner. I've been playing for several years now and this is the best amp I got so far. The next step would be to buy a 10W tube amp
Same situation...same amp bought 1hr ago.tomorrow 1st lesson 🤞
This seems to be the ultimate practice at home amp. Built in effects and flexibility to create a sound that can potentially become a draft version of your final studio sound. Nice.
dani should be good for home studios too. It’s small and sounds great.
Great amp but the Boss Katana blows it clean outta the water.
@@jsullivan2112this is about 100 dollars
cheaper though
Just got one for christmas and it's what dreams are made of... my dad who's an engineer and knows a ton about these kind of amps chose this one for a reason. Recommended 👍🏽
So I just got one and I don’t have 20 extra presets. Do you have them
Is it easy to record on pc?
I have been playing for for 10 years now and this is the best amp I have ever bought. Most versatile and customize-able effects i have messed with(easy to understand too). It has honestly brought my playing to the next level.
P.S. I know it sounds like a bot/paid review but I'm a real person lol. (not a paid actor)
Sounds like something a bot will say
@@chunkycheese5247 i was gonna comment that lol
Do you own a chevy lol?
Don't sweat it. I've been playing for about 6-7 years myself and I also think this is the best amp I bought so far. My previous amps were:
- 10W Ibanez amp that came with my first guitar (the sound was horrible 😂)
- Roland Cube 40 (still have it, still love it)
- Roland Cube 20 (sold it right after I acquired the Mustang LT25)
- Mustang LT25 (best one, thanks to its versatility and the sound quality also seems better than that of the Roland Cubes, which are also known to be very good beginner/practice amps. And the ridiculously low price on the Mustang... 🤩)
Thankyou for your honesty, you sound like myself, and 100% sold me on this amp that i was looking to pull the trigger on. I mean watch the videos on the fender GT. IT is so sick, This is basically the same amp and covers all the bases. The GT will show you things you never even thought about b4. 😁👍 Anyone complaining About this amp is just spoiled.
I bought this amp last week and I love it. I am a longtime bass player that just got my first guitar. I wanted a good amp for practice, good features, with a price point that didn’t break the bank. On paper the LT25 looked great, this video was great to see the ease of use but more importantly the great sound. I tested a Peavy and LineX for comparison at a local store. They sounded ok but small and what I expected for price. I played the Mustang LT-25 for about 2 minutes and knew it was the one. This amp has a full, well rounded sound with lots of presets plus ability to create my own sound. I know it’s not a stack or vintage but it has that sound in a small box that is by far the best amp in its class.
Eeh. Pretty limited preset space IMO. Their Mustang I has a much more versatile FX section and editing capabilities but Fender quit updating the software for it.
That’s pretty good! Btw quick question are you able to put in a microphone to it ?
I just purchased one. I am getting back into guitar again as a result of the shelter at home COVID-19 and this amp has nothing but great reviews, and all the built in effects sold me.
I started guitar a few months ago and I use this amp. The amount of tones and different effects you can get is unbelievable and they also sound really well done. For the price, portability, and quality you’re getting it’s well worth it. Especially if you are just starting out, this thing is tons of fun.
ive had this for a few months now, and i never knew that an amp could be so easy to use, and at the same time, be able to recreate every single sound from my favorite guitarists!!! ITS SO LIGHT AS WELL!!!!
Quick question, are you able to use a microphone with it?
Yes! Extremely portable. Especially with the inside handle. Everything about this amp is amazing!
@@VenZaRa Steven I'm trying to use a wah pedal with it but it's not working. I also tried my distortion pedal but no joy. Any help you can offer please?
@@thenovicenoisemaker I've actually had the same issue recently, although I think my pedal or one of my cords is to blame. I get an awful sound coming through when I plug it in. I'll be sure to let you know if I figure anything out though!
@@VenZaRa thank you. My cables are fine but it’s just not happening 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Got mine from Amazon today. I've been playing for 36 years and this is the most fun I have had with an amp! Bravo Fender!
This is a great little amp. It's the first amp I have bought since 1987! Yep, I played a little in the military back then and I am getting back into it now. The tech changes in the past 30 years is amazing. Back then I had a little Marshall with no frills but I ran a SRD Rockman through it and got a whopping three settings for blues and some chorus. It was a cool little setup but for what I paid for it back then....whoof. We are talking a 4 to 1 price difference and that is in todays dollars...with inflation I cannot believe the cost and capability gap.
This little fender is amazing and does everything I need while sitting in my cabin in the woods playing off of solar power. I love it. Thanks Fender for making this small and capable affordable little amp. For my needs I just have a Strat, cord, and the Mustang. Keeps me going. Now I need to play around with presets and some custom sounds but with the 30 built in I really don't know if I will need to.
I am still getting used to this ound and all the setting options, love it. Would you share anything close to a pink floy'dian sound on your setting if you got any please? That would be awesome!
nevermind, there is a setting for it. lol.
@Xaxbys pink of the moon
@Xaxbys so that should be in your default presets on your amp not fender tone. However you can do a search for either Santama or Floyd tones and either download it onto your fender tone setting or you could manually set it on your amp. Hope ot makes sense.
Just bought this amp secondhand from a pawn shop. Luckily in great condition, but it seems they didn't know how to really mess with the presets properly, and I wasn't aware some of them weren't supposed to sound like that. This video taught me how to use those buttons and I reset it to factory and now they all sound great. I would strongly recommend this to any guitar player of any level of experience. It's a dream.
I have always been the "nothing but tube amps for me" fella. Not anymore. I love this little amp. I played a Blues Jr for years. It finally bite the dust so I needed a small amp for practice and bought this. The Lt25 is light, gets very loud, easy on the wallet. This is the perfect amp for those of us that aren't into having alot of pedals.
have you ran a tube screamer through this amp? if so how does it sound?
@@gavsterw I haven't ran any pedals through it so I'm unsure of how it would sound. I'd be interested in what you think if you do try that.
@@Kodyf98 yeah, I couldn’t find much online about pedals being used with this amp specifically. i’m gonna try it out this weekend.
@@gavsterw does the amp take pedals well?
Been playing for over 30 years. For practice, this amp is absolutely amazing for the cost!
I have had this Amp for 2 years. Along with my squires, it's fantastic and will carry any guitarist well into their guitar journey up to and beyond gigging. It is perfect, I haven't used the USB with my laptop yet. 5-star no-brainer.
I just bought this amp earlier today to replace my Fender Frontman 15G I started off with. This amp is really awesome. I love the customizable presets and love the way the amp sounds as well as headphones mode. It’s just a wonderful amp.
Is it easy to record on pc?
I replaced my frontman 15g with this as well.
@@gabrieleguidoni2867 you can record strait to it so probably
This amp is seriously awesome. It sounds great with some of the presets but when you make your own they can sound real good. I’ve had this amp for a year and I’ve acquired more gear except anymore amps because this thing is simply just great.
Just picked this up tonight for my son who wants to learn. We were both loving some of the freaky presets.
The high gain Mode is heavy a lot!!! Great AMP.
That’s great because tons of guys said the GT 40 is overpriced, but now they have a option. I have the 40, and I can get tons of killer tones. You can adjust each amp/preset a million ways and find them. Good job again Fender!
I've just got my new LT25 and I love it! Great, clean sound, easy to use and versatile
. It was a very good choice for a beginner like me.
Gratulalok.
hey! he didn't say in the video, but, does it have chorus? i would really like that on an amp, trying to decide if i should buy
@@connormars3473 yes
Just received this amp, just wanted something to practice etc, Fender hit the right buttons with this amp, acoustic simulator brilliant, well built , you don't need anything more,, very pleased with it, perfect for the home
would it do a bit of jazzy ?
We appreciate the first hand review, Brian!🤘
@@musiconlyplease98 it does have a Jazz Amp in the preset but , you can create your own, and what I have done is created a blues amp sound , modifying it , and then saving it then I might add or take something then save it again, a fun amp that sounds great

bought this thing a few days ago and my favourite is definitely the Dreamy preset. i love just sitting there for hours playing random riffs on it and it just always sounds good. also the super rock one is cool
I have been playing guitar for about 3 years and I was looking for an amp like this and I’m so pleased I found it! I am looking forward to getting it and practicing with my mates
I bought this amp 2 days ago and I have never felt reassured and confident about my purchase ever, I’m so excited to try this thing out can’t wait till it arrives
How's the amp?
I`m Very Much Impressed by the Fender Mustang LT-25 .Thank you Fender - The LT-25 is a mini monster . I Deeply Thank God First for making this possible in my life then Thanks to EVERYONE @ Fender for the LT-25 Fender Mustang it`s exactly what sound i wanted - Love you Guys and Thanks again 🥰❤❤❤👍
just bought mine and its amazing... easy and portable and great for recording.
Chose to upgrade from the Frontman 10g, and I’m very happy that I did. Just bought this amp over the weekend! I can’t wait for it to arrive.
I still have the old mustang 1 v2. I use it when I’m just messing around. I’m more of a metal player so I have 2 Randall’s and a 4x12 (rg100es and a century 170) that little mustang is great for playing late at night when I can’t crank up my big amps.
I have the same one and I play blues. Really neat lil amp considering it does justice to different styles.
Getting back into guitar after 11 years of downtime, and just ordered this beauty for $150. I don't have it yet, but this video and these comments tell me I made the right decision.
Bought this for my Fender Player Strat HSS which I received today. Very excited to get a lot of sounds out of this!!
Just ordered it tonight, can’t wait to jam on it!
I bought one a few months ago and use it everyday it was crisp sound and endless options I would 100% recommend
4:48 sounds like something "Angels & Airwaves" would do
Nighthawk 8 most definitely I heard that too haha
It reminded me of "Love Like Rockets" if they hadn't Angels & Airwaves didn't incorporate those ethereal sounds so much on that track.
Or u2
Nighthawk 8 Well well
It’s a U2 thing
Got this with my first guitar to learn, this amp can do it all so far so good !
Got the LT25 last week because I wanted to checkt some modern Modelling Amps without breaking the Bank. Played Vox PF10 and VT20+ the last 5 years, had some Marshalls and Boss and Software Amps but always had to spend so much time noodling those Chickenheads...
Dude...the LT25 is by far the best sounding Amp I ever had in my life - I'm recording thru the Phones Out and the Sound, the Amps, the Controls...the Stock Presets already are godsend - I play Singlecoil and I can't stop playin...such s perfect peace of gear for me. Thanks Fender!
Do you prefer the lt25 over the VT20+? I'm tempted about the Vox with the tube preamp
@@TheKeyblade818 sold both, Neural DSP only today. LT25 is better than the Vox, but both are really crappy if you're recording. For Jams yeah....I dont know, the LT25 or better its bigger brother LT50, far better Soundquality but still Trash in comp. to neural dsp (plini for clean, cali for metal)
I am 54 and people tell me I am to old to learn. One of the biggest issues I have is being left handed. They are hard to find or are really expensive. living in Canada everything is over inflated. I am on disability from a work accident so the funds are not there to buy a quality left handed electric guitar. I would love to start with a strat. I will have to keep looking to see if I can find a used quality one before it really is to late to learn.
I've made my mind up and will buy this one today...I have 7 amplifiers which includes, vox ac15, fender hot rod devile, 4-10, 65 twin reverb..and one Orange amp , fender bassbreaker 15 amp, etc... but I need this amp!
hey - bought this yesterday and having a blast with it!
Paul Caputo did it come with a footswitch?
We've all heard it and it bears repeating (related to amp modeling): Nobody does Fender better than Fender. I really like the Vintage Tremolo. I have always liked the Fender Mustang 1 v2 amp - great amp for the price. But I've always felt Fender was missing something by not offering their amps with the new technology in an affordable price point. The LT25 seems to resolve this - granted, the prices on their Mustang 1 v2 have gone up putting both amps in a very similar price range. Tough choice - both are great sounding amps!!
The goat of practice amps. Yea the katana is the gold I know but this amp is highly underrated when tweaked right for bedroom jam
Last time i've tried fender amps .... it is a dissappointment to me ... this one really make me comeback for them ! congratz for their player series guitar too ! going to buy em 🤪
So I have this amp but I’m just watching in what it can but when I click replace I only have the original 30 presets so what do I do?
Well hell yeah!...I saw one at the guitar store today and didn't really know what it was all about but I previously owned a gdec that did all kinds of funky stuff and I loved it, so I decided to have a look at a bunch of reviews on this baby. Suffice to say I'm going back to the store tomorrow for real!!!
Octabot -preset #10 -sounds like TurboWolf!!!
I'm sold!
I have the GT200 and love it! Next I want the Fender Bassbreaker 30R
Also looking at a Fender Rumble 800, for a lighter bass amp compared to my Ampeg 810
Just ordered. I play a fender frontman which is pretty fun for a practice amp. The mustang is more for what I need.
I went to guitar center wanting yo buy an amp and they reccomended this one so i searched it up and very impresed will definetley get it soon
I just purchased this product and there are a few observations that are different than what is presented in this product video.
1) The presets are now different and their is no more "You Too Anthem" patch loaded on #25, which is what I wanted to utilize.
2) The easter egg presets under the SAVE menu are no longer available. So no extra patches available on the LT25 Amp itself.
3) I found I cannot use the Fender Tone app on my Android phone as it will only start up after connecting to a Bluetooth enabled Fender Amp, which the LT25 does not have Bluetooth. So the phone app cannot move forward at all unless it pairs, you must use a computer with the Fender Tone app.
Hope this helps. 👍
I've tried three different usb cables...none of them will connect to PC.
Looks like Fender did a great job on upgrading the GT series. I have a Hotrod Deluxe with pedals but this one is ideal for taking it with me for travelling.
I’ve had this amp for the last 7 months and will be upgrading to the GTX 100 in the near future due to extra”umpf” it provides for jamming with a drummer. Great little practice amp though.
Just purchased one as well. Am a beginner and am very pleased with the presets. A great start as a newb player. Tried to research and buy what I thought I needed. Was better to rely on the experience of the store player/employee salesman. Cheers!
Found an old Harmony Discovery electric while cleaning my old house.
Figured now is a great time to actually give playing guitar a try.
This will be my first amp and I think I'm making a good decision.
i bothered connecting it today on my computer and im superhappy had no idea its has such cool utility
JUST GOT MINE AMAZING LITTLE AMP.BRILLIANT
Rick you used Encoder, Parameter and Modulation immediately following the word Easy...hugh?? I like to flip a switch, crank the volume . But in all fairness it sounds good for what it is. The best amp your team had rolled thus decade has been the bassbreaker series especially the 15 and now the 30. You guys killed on those 2. They will be classics.
If you can't figure out these simple controls you have no business playing chords and scales. Or driving a car. Cooking. Barely wipe your behind I'd guess.
got it yesterday, I love it.
Can you connect to Fender Fuse?
Nope
Just ordered one. Cant freaking wait!!!!
for the price...I say it's worth it.
It definitely is.
Bass sounds pretty cool through it, too.
I really love my Mustang LT 25!!! Question: I would like to add the footswitch. Which one is the right model to buy for this amp? Thanks!
Honestly I was really surprised at how light it is which makes it ideal for travel I love this amp very much and it’s now among my favorites
silky solo is amazing
Fender, Rick, QUICK -- get a video out for the LT50! The specs are great. A demo will sell it like hot cakes.
It's a wonderful amp for dreaming guitarists. Sounds great.
Got it right yesterday, really funny to use and really clean sound 🔥
Buying one at my local music shop today, literally 💜
where is the link to download the fx? u2, evh, etc. aren't on the one i bought. not sure when the person got it that i bought it from. have a shecter and a fender strat and not tuned, the fx it does have sound pretty awesome, very different than my old tube, i like both sounds. i'm hoping my pedals i ordered work with this, thinking probably not or they are going to sound way cooler, no idea yet, will see.
I have to admit that Mustang LT25 might not satisfy your needs easily and you would have to do lots of editing with all the sounds in the preset to get how you'd want it to sound. But worry not, it is still the best sounding amp in its league.
I have a sample of what it would sound like if I try to emulate the Yngwie Malmsteen tone as provided in the link below:
ruclips.net/video/BouuiIy4cag/видео.htmlsi=Q61uhETg2YJcv7m5
I used DOD YJM 308 as a booster. Let me know what you guys think.
Reminds me of the Marshall Code series and I had code 50 that took a long time to set it up , by then I lost my guitar mood to jam.
After several of that push button B.S. I sold it cheaply to rid of it. I replaced that amp with tube amp with knobs and never look back and it’s really nice to jam way quicker than push buttons amps.
There was nothing to setting up the LT25, once the firmware updated in 5 mins it was good to go.
The Code is best if you just take a basic amp like JTM 45 and go. Editing is tedious. The 50 sounds better than the 25 IMHO. But after 5-6 years I’m looking at something else.
octobot sounds insane
Welp, you just convinced me to buy one.. 5 years later :)
Great amp just picked one up today can't believe it's only 150!!!!

it comes with the amplifier!
Is it a good pedal platform?
I think this is the amp I want, right now I just have an sp-10
I’m absolutely torn between this amp, the 25 watt or the bigger brother version that’s 50watts. Ugh I can’t decide…I think I’m leaning towards the 25 watt bc all I usually do is play in my house, I don’t really bring it on gigs or anything. So my thought is that 25 watts should be plenty, right?

5:59 Bet we didn't know that for however long we have had the amp!!! WOW!!!!
You can also have 60 presets instead of 30 and 100 factory presets that you can upload in the amp if you update the firmware with the software Fender Tone

Maybe I got a lemon brand new out of the box, or Fender changed their amp. But I only have 30 presets, and when doing the "replace" trick it *still* only shows 30. Despite what the online manual says. I bought it brand new just a couple days ago from the Guitar Center. Any idea why I only have 30? Any kind of help here is appreciated. This is rather frustrating.
in the vid it says that there's only 30 fender made presets, the other 20 are user config. I'm pretty sure that's correct, hoped it helped
@@kiikiihere I had to go online with the fender app to get the "hidden" ones and save them into the 30 extra, *empty* available preset slots. Like the "You Too Anthem" for instance, is on the Fender app, so I downloaded it into the amp. This video was made 2 years ago, so maybe something changed since then (I bought mine in May 2021). But my point is the videos either are out of date or are skipping some major steps. They literally make it sound like you hit "replace" and whoosh, another 20 are there.

Hi. May I use distortion and flanger effect simultaneously? Or may I make a customized effect combining two effects together?
Thank you in advance for your replies.
You can. If you press the center button on the top of the preset knob, then click stomp, you can customize or change your distortion you want, then click mod and use the knob to select flanger. Also, you can’t use two effects from the mod section simultaneously, and unfortunately, you would have to purchase a pedal if you don’t already have one. Hope that helped.
