@@HalimaAkterTamannabd000 dont do it. Why would the doctor perform this test? Go rather for an alternative if its really necessary like an MRI? But my advice is simple Dont do it, the sound tones are intens and can go up to 110db, and on different frequencies. I had this test done, but after the third sound burst i said Stop it. This was 2 weeks ago and it spiked my tinnitus in the right ear. Still have a higher tinnitus. Also it can create a fear response which also can influence your T. But i dont see any arguments to perform this test. Lot of people got tinnitus because if this test.
@@HalimaAkterTamannabd000 this test isnt usefull. In the Netherlands its a very rare test. I dont see any benefits personally. But i am not a doctor :)
@@HalimaAkterTamannabd000 it wasnt my doctor but a nurse from a medical center, i went just for a regular ear check. Because i thought i might have retracted eardrums/fluid. I expected only a visual ear check. But they had a tympanogram device as well, so she checked that and afterwards with the same device 'the acoustic relfex'. She only said i will let you hear some sound tones now, dont be affraid.. i didnt knew what to expect and it went so fast. So that was really a shock. Tinnitus and hyperacusis is a contra indication. Just say decline the test, say thank you, but no. Even if he says the test is innocent it cant cause damage, you cant take the risk i red on a forum people got tinnitus from this test. Just every loud test, you must not perform!!! There is no reason, you make your condition only worse

Well one thing should be said if you have tinnitus or hyperacusis dont perform this test! Its a contra indication.
