P
MD do a black moor or siamese doll aquarium( pink gravel🤣🙄) or maybe the asian glass catfish that they make fish sauce from?!?😁
Maybe not a rescape on the congo tank ... maybe more fish ... synodontis cats ...african butterfly fish ...maybe a small birchar... that would be cool
Visited the store a couple weeks ago travelled 163 miles my local maiden head is Shrewsbury.
It was well worth it I've never seen such variety the place is huge compared to every other maiden head I've visited.
And so many cracking display tanks, most I visit tend to only have one or two tops!
Tank by tank please.
Hi MD can you do a column tank scape video please
To be fair, I *would* watch a 4+ hour tank-by-tank video, but maybe not in one sitting. Hearing Matt talk more in depth about the different fish species is fascinating, and the banter between you two is always lifting spirits. Maybe group them into separate videos, e.g. one about livebearers, one about cichlids, one about catfish, one about rarer species, etc.?
Yes. Would love 2 about nano fish and live beareres now I have a 40x25x25 tank free with just snails and 3 shrimp in it.
I would totally watch that!
Completely agree, the info given is always so interesting when it comes from someone as knowledgeable as Matt, and MD does a fantastic job giving info as well as asking questions to enable the conversation and banter.
Yes!! I came here to say the same!
Yes, absolutely! I would love that
I love the fact that you’re willing to create ‘finished’ tanks in an aquarium shop. I liken it to the bathroom and kitchen displays in places like B&Q and other home stores. No one wants to see just a shelf of ‘bits’ they want to see how it will all look set up as it would be at home!! All fish shops should do this!!
Matt's employers must be so pleased that you are drawing so many folks into the shop. They should hire you as a roving scaper for all their shops!
You two, guys, are my weekly positive therapy. I love it.
same, I dont even do planted tanks or any tanks in general but seeing them both really is the nostalgic feeling when you have someone to geek together with
agreed.
The commas were unnecessary btw
The video I am sure a lot of us have been waiting on!!! It's been great watching how Matt has became a reoccuring guest on the channel!
🤣🤣✌️🏴
Its become more like Marc+Matt fish show, lol
@@bennubella Always is tho🤣🏴
I never get tired of this shop and I could listen to Matt all day. The two of you are so great together.
I think a great challenge would be to create a tank only using things you guys really dislike and make something amazing out of it 🥰🥰🥰
Super interesting idea! I think you actually thought of something no one has done.
@@toriwilson6961 let’s hope MD and Matt see this comment and accept the challenge 🥰🥰🥰
Make MD scape with only Spongebob Squarepants decor and moss.
In depth tank by tank one coming next only 9 hours long!!!
🤣🤣
I travelled from California to see the tanks! (And other nice things in the south west) 🇬🇧
Always impressed by Matt's knowledge. Definitely looking forward to an update on Martin's pond, and whatever MD has cooked up next. Fish on good sir!
The nostalgic happy look on Matt's face when you introduced your guys first tank was so wholesome! You can tell how amazing your friendship is with him!!!
I'm so envious. We have nothing remotely close to Matt's shop here in NC USA in my area around the capital. MD, thank you for showing Matt's awesome shop. Love you two together.
I came up from near Portsmouth for a few days in Devon and could not resist dropping in to see the tanks and yes the 8 foot tank is HUGE and a must see in real life 😀😀😀😀
Imagine a show like The Office or Superstore except it's just Maidenhead Aquatics and the employees and of course MD
now thats an idea!!!
1:05:24 - We do this all the time the plants get massive, BUT be careful as the roots start to pack up in the corners getting tight and start to lift then grow under the silicone, then in time it will make the tank leek and eventually split and come apart slowly on the corners.
What I do is pull the plants up every 2 months or so and check the silicone and re-seat the plant back in, or just pull it up and put it back in helps, try not to trim the roots as they just come back even bigger and stronger than before!
Good Video, thanks for taking the time to edit and share.
Cheers.
Matt has the experience with fish species that I could listen to on hours. I saw his need to explain the different Pygmy Cory’s be hauled by the rush of the video. Those habrosus Cory’s really do deserve a spot light. A Cory that looks and behaves like the larger ones but only reaches an inch. You can keep so many in a smaller tank and when you do you get to see so many fascinating natural behaviours. It’s awesome. It would be really hard to house 20 sterbi Cory properly.
I live in Colorado in the US and my koi and goldfish have already stopped feeding for the winter. They will just sit at the bottom barely moving throughout the winter until the water warms back up. My pond completely freezes every year with just a few small holes where the bubblers/waterfall is.
That’s nuts do you run a heater at all?
@@AquariumAficionado Nope.
Well, it snows in Japan...isn't that where they're from. I use to live in Pagosa Springs.
You should do a tank with all of the unmentionable tank decorations, neon gravel aetc... this absolutely HAS to happen
10/10 for Matt being into Warhammer ! :)))
So glad people are coming from miles away to visit the shop.
Great staff, great quality fish and supplies.
Even I shall visit when I pop over from France and buy something to bring back home.
Well deserved!
Great video guys! But I'm going to release my inner child. Tank by Tank. Tank by Tank. Tank By Tank. I would love to see every fish in the store. Continue having fun making these videos. It really shows!
I'll have (actually have) a coffee machine indoors and my single heavily planted heavily stocked community
f/w trop tank and enjoy both for years to come🤞🏻
.. Coffee and a water change along with an MD or Fish shop Mat vid..
Fine times in life👌🏻
Thanks for the tour mates! Matt's fish warehouse. I've never seen a larger selection and so complete. I'd love to visit one day.
Matts shop is very impressive!
"I was enjoying watching you struggle" 😂 I love how Matt is so knowledgeable and funny at the same time. This was such a great tour. I love seeing the finished tanks you guys did. They're still so beautiful. I also loved seeing new fish my local stores don't have. Those ruby tetras are so gorgeous.
This is awesome! Loved watching, had it playing in the kitchen while I made a big pot of soup. Very nice to have an overview of the shop and what's there! Thank you both!
Wonderful tour, thank you. Also thank you for the no change tank tutorials, I have a bowl now full of lovely snails
Great video! I usually don't watch 1 hour plus videos, but I couldn't help myself with you and Matt together. I kind of wanted to get started in fish keeping again after watching your videos, but after watching the fish shop tour, I definitely will! I'm 62 and have had aquariums almost all my life. I have a 55 gallon tank that I've had for about 35 years sitting on my front porch empty. I don't really want to get it going again, so I will probably get something like a 20 or 30 gallon and start with some nano fish, heavily planted of course!! Thanks for the inspiration!
Ohio Fish Rescue has two great Cichild tanks. Plus the ones that migrated into their monster fish pond. Enjoyed this tour! Thanks, MD and Matt.
I built an aquarium in your typical style, that way I can leave it to do it's own thing and it works amazingly! But because of that sometimes I forget to stop and enjoy it. Everytime you upload a new video I get super inspired to give my tank some tender love and care
You two guys have always been and continue to be the most entertaining duo of fish enthusiasts I have ever ever had the pleasure to watch. Thank you
I was thinking my water lettuce wasn't doing well cause I had three plants with a little bit of yellowing (out of 20 total plants), but then I saw the water lettuce in that pond at 4:05 and it made me feel better about my water lettuce!
Edit: Just want to say that I completely agree with your point about the tanganykin cichlids, and I feel that applies to many, many freshwater tanks. As an example, the Walstad tank in my classroom houses a betta fish (siamese fighting fish), 3 mystery snails and 2 red ramshorn snails. They all originated from different parts of the world, but can live perfectly fine together in captivity.
Wow! Matts knowledge of the industry is amazing. Love watching you guys work together, not only very informative but always a laugh. Keep it up and have a beer for me!
Can't bereave I sat strait through this one. I really enjoyed it and so many hard to find fish for my area. Awsome vid that did not feel it's length. You two do great together!
what a great store! the business matt built up is incredible! i am sure it cost a massive amount of work and sacrifice. respect man! absolute respect!
Alluded is the word you’re looking for about 30 mins in 🙂
Top job on all the tanks and keep the videos coming - my daughter and I visited last weekend on the way back from holiday and bought a ‘simple’ 60cm tall tank from Matt - was a pleasure meeting and chatting to him, a true gent.
I'm up for the tank by tank tour ! Love the videos where you and Matt team up
Matt, you’re remarkable. Oh how I wish I could come shop at your shop! Kudos on a massive job, very very well done
Mixed in with all the Laurel and Hardy stuff it is good to tell people that you need more than a 6 inch deep pond in your garden in the UK to keep fish safe in winter.
What a great shop / store , and with so much passion too, from Matt.
Thanks for sharing.
You two give me so much serotonin. Love you guys.
Thanks for the tour and behind the scenes look at this fantastic fish shop!
I want one of those Sienna's. They look so amazing. Great job fluval for the integration of the filter and light. Can't wait to see them in the USA. Hopefully the price will be reasonable. Love the shop gents. Every build I see you guys collaborate at the shop gets me excited. So many possibilities and featuring different fish and plants.
I've been waiting for this video from the 1st time you put the shop in a video. Thank you both for an amazing video BUT now we want to see a proper shop video. I'm meaning a video that is probably closer to 2 hrs plus. I want to see EVERYTHING the shop has to offer. I'm in the 🇺🇸 and love seeing the different products that we don't use or have access to unless we order online if even possible.. Again thanks for taking the time to put this shop tour together for us. You both rock along with the crew that helps run that amazing shop.. Give us more give us more !!!!! Lol.
Damn if I lived in the UK this would be my favorite fish store! You don't get a true feel of how good this store really is until you watch this tour. Great video man. I wish you guys could be in the US lol
Hi MD, I'm a big fan of your channel from South Africa. Keep up the amazing content and keep inspiring😁
I also love that all the tanks you’ve created have a few of my home bred bristle noses in!! At least I’m assuming they’re mine!🤪. I’ve still got about 20 to bring in. Once I’ve caught them all!!😉
Came down from Glasgow a little while ago, it's so weird to be 'in the telly' ☺️
Got mixed scatter gravel for my new tank setup and a few other bits and bobs. We already have ten tanks at my place and four at my boyfriends house and Carlisle and the Ashton maidenhead stores are very good. Lace who works at Carlisle is really sweet and lovely.
Fantastic video can you show us what settings you use on the planted 3.0
You two are spot on together, keep it up chaps, love the content 👍
A tank by tank tour would be great!
Currently sick with the flu unable to celebrate the new year, really enjoyed watching, made me not focus on how miserable I feel. Sending greetings from southern USA 🦅
Tank by tank would be awesome! Great vid guys, wish i could visit the shop but its a bit far from Arizona 😢
It’s always nice to watch those guys talking about fishes and aquariuns. Nice and fun!
Really enjoying you two together. So natural and fun
This is the best aquarium channel on RUclips. Not even close. Keep this stuff up MD. And thank you !
I was so excited to see that you guys are in the UK and then realised that you’re literally as far away as possible 😭😂 (I’m based in the North East) thank you so much for taking care of pet shop fish so well!!! incredible work 🥳
I’m on the canister camp on this. I know they’re more expensive but they do take up a much smaller footprint. Also I agree with what you said about the tank creating heaps of bio surface area. However if you’re like me and enjoy completely rescaping your tank every 2 years then atleast the bio filter is all ready to go. I do like the slightly extra flow. I also like inline heating and inline CO2 and I like glass and stainless outlet and intake hardware. I find maintenance to be quite enjoyable and therapeutic. Thanks for the great educational and inspirational content Bentley. Great channel. 😎👍👊🇦🇺
that was fun. Thanks. I can spend hours in a great aquarium shop, and never get bored.
This is like a movie release for me. Everybody is doing short videos. I say longer the better! Thank you mate. 😊
the jumpscare at 4:18 🤣 been watching a ton of your videos, love what you guys have going on!
Great idea @FishShopMatt I would also like to see a tour of you feeding all the fish.
The selection and different varieties is amazing at the store. Wish my local was this diverse...
Th only problem with this video is that it ended. Hey MD - we need MORE of these long factor videos with you and Fish Shop Matt in them. Can you do another one where the two of you explore a local aquarium or zoo or perhaps a private collection?
What an amazing shop!!!! So so good.
Matt you are a legend so mich passion and care and devotion for your trade. Do inspiring!!!
Those diving helmets would work with something like a group of Erpetoichthys calabaricus (Rope fish) planted with surface plants and a matted ground cover, possibly a few vertical stick like pieces of wood...
I was there the other day, fab place 😊
Superb video esp the mechanics of it all (filters etc.)
Flamingo crypts would be epic in a glow scape, but I have a (not so) secret crush on glo-corys, lol! I inherited a tank with bright purple gravel and added gray sand areas and some quartz crystal clusters, and raw amethyst spikes. It turned out really nice actually.
Thanks for the awesome vid. Watched it all in one go. Yes, I would love to have the 4 hour tank by tank video. Watching from South Africa. Really missing the UK. Hope to come and visit the shop if I get to the UK next year!
Tank by Tank dooooooo iiiiittttt
I just finished the watching the whole video and to be fair, I'm about to click the replay button and watch again to see things I may have missed. I love this!
You guys make my days better, it’s kind of my therapy and happy time with a cup of coffee. ❤
Tank by tank-tour, YES! Go for it! I'd love that, since it's as Matt said: the different tanks are set up with lots of care, and with such a variety of fish it's impossible to see everything immidiately. Also: you forgot to show those Bumblebee-whatsit by feeding them, that you talked about around mid-video...
You’ve helped me and inspired me so much with my betta fish. Thank you!
A wonderful video about a wonderful store with a wonderful employee of this store. Or he is the owner. What is even more touching is the selection of fish and plants according to the biotope principle.
I very much appreciate this tour. Thanks guys.
love this guys and thr fishes! :) keep uploading more! this is my stress reliver!
real cool to see "behind the scenes" in matts shop with all the filters and stuff 😮
Vacation destination! Bucket list to meet them both and see the shop!
I wish I lived in the UK to be able to stop by this shop and see everything - maybe one day I'll take a trip to the UK to see it in person! All I know is MD is responsible for the 13 tanks currently inhabiting my office space. THANKS, MD.... 😛
Can I mail order fish from this store?
I really wanted to see the variety of guppie’s & Corydoras. The camera shot about & gave up right when we got excited 😞 A tank by tank tour would be fab, yes please 👏🏼
Great video though. I’d love to visit. I’m right down in the south east 🫤
I'd love to see you do a heavily planted tank for some Sparkling Gourami, they really don't seem to get the attention they deserve amount their species and the fish community. They're a beautiful little fish that love a big community tank.
Disney dragon, perfect description. You guys have great chemistry, reminds me of two buddies hanging, breaking balls, laughing, sharing a hobby
I enjoyed this very much. So, I say do the tank by tank series of the fish shop and the MD studio. LET'S GO...
I'd totally watch a tank-by-tank tour of the shop!
Great video, lovely to see the whole store and how it works 🎣🐡🐠🐟
HOUR LONG VIDEO.....HOLD UP IM GETTING MY CORY HOODIE ON
I don't know where this place is or what it's called - but I need to find out and visit. My local is Shirley Aquatics, it's pretty big but this place looks massive! Stunning tanks! And wow those female fighters! I've never seen ones so beautiful. Gravel by the scoop! Perfect - and would you believe - also for crafters! oooh sump system - my main tank is a Cleair. Sorry about the random nature of this comment - I keep editing as the video moves on. watched the whole thing. Fab place guys - thanks for showing us. Yes tank by tank please! if since you made this video you have done that - link pls! I'm off to rummage in your playlists......
Loved this!!! And so sad that I’m not anywhere close enough to come to the store! Thank you this was great!! :)
Tank by tank would be nice too! I wish we had a local fish shop like this. 👍
In from the pub and believe it or not, this notification hyped me 🙌🏾
Do a tank with a 14:50 shipwreck or the dive helmet as a challenge! lol! truly love your natural looks the best but I'd be curious to see how you turn out one of those
What I can say the shop are great and you two are really great guys 👍👍👍
Thank you so much always enjoy your videos much love from Canada 🇨🇦
THIS IS THE CONTENT i'm looking for! Brilliant!!!!! Love it.
A tank by tank tour would be great! You could always do it by section like the store is divided up so it’s not so long.
Wow! Impressive! Probably most likely the Best fish tour I've ever seen!!! All of your fish look so Healthy. Your fish store is like selling a Picasso painting for fish . Your care and expectations of your fish store probably surpassing your clients that purchase them for their own. You take care of your beard almost better than your fish! You've harness your trade 1000 percent
GOT TO LOVE SOME FISH SHOP MATT. I FOLLOW HIM ON ALL PLATFORMS 💚💛💙
Watched the whole video and yes I would watch a tank by tank one too 😂
