Great summary of the year MD, you need to make it a regular January event.
Love to see a scape of a 72" or longer tank with just one large log running the length of the tank. Love to see what you can do with it. A few hobbyists I know have large tanks and would love to see something like that scaped. Maybe an idea for a future project? Love all your displays and keep them coming. Cheers.

hey MD love all your videos, i personally like combining the scaping and the actual fish as my hobby. I enjoyed your eb acaras a lot and would love if you tried keeping bigger fish or even getting a small cichlid like a frontosa and watch him grow to his full size. I dont know just a thought anyways keep it up love you !

Would you consider making an indoor mini pond for medaka? That the emergent plants and the top down look is the focus. Seeing the pond section at Maidenhead aquatics makes me feel we are missing out on many interesting plant options!

Beautiful! what specific brand or type of gravel did you use for this project? It seems very flat and I really it. In the video it appears to come out of a medium Sized flat box just before you wash and prep for the tank. Thanks for sharing!

In my experience though on paper it looks like a good idea, in practice it doesn't work because guppy prefers being at top and thus mid ground looks vacant

Hey MD. Love your style of aquascapes. Can you please share a suggestion on how to get rid of a Black beard algae if I have it all over my 450L aquarium? It is literally on all the hardscape and also on plants. I was using the liquid Carbon for spot treatment but this will not fully disappeared and will come back.
My favorite tank ye made this year was that tilted aquarium in wee matts fish shop, it was just diffrent, oh and the spitting fish were fuckin magic too mate, keep up the entertaining videos mate, cheers 👍🏻

Have you ever considered a square, or rectngle of a fine window screen mesh laid over the top of your aqua soil, before capping with sand? Similar to the way screen mesh is used in terrariums, so as to keep the drainage layer clear from the above substrate ;)
Do you have a link for or name of the exact topsoil you use for your dirted tanks? I want to potentially try doing it for my next setup but I'm concerned about getting something potentially toxic...

Love your tanks, you do have a great eye for it. They are beautiful. I have seen several of your videos and I was wondering if you have tried a Dwarf Coral Platy tank? I think, if you have not kept them yet, that you would love these fish. They are wonderful. I love my fat, red, mini baby boats.

this year you should try doing a tank for either a fahaka or a red eye puffer
Rather than completely tearing down and redesign, how about you trim, pare back and make minimal alterations. The thought is to see the cultivated mature design that was envisioned. Thoroughly enjoy your bold and energetic enthusiasm.
I would love to see at least one tank that goes on for years. That would help everyone know what to expect as they travel down that road. I think most people don’t rescape every few months. My oldest tank is 3 1/2 years old and it has been fun to seen the changes.
@@lkawaiteacher There is so much a person needs to learn when it comes to fish keeping...if you're into plants more I guess...it would still be a very long learning process. I think if a person doesn't strive to know the many details they won't be satisfied and will get disappointed in the end. That's just what I think anyway.

Question. I live in a place that is just too cold to keep my house in the 70's all winter long, and I don't want to use water heaters. Are there some fish and plants you recommend for water temps in the mid 60's?
Depends on what fish suit your water parameters. Goldfish and rice fish are two types that can cope with cooler water temperatures. Check what fish live in your local rivers or streams. It also depends on the size of the tank what fish you intend to use
