I worked at an FBO with a 5000ft runway and I was surprised when it had no problem taking off. With it’s wing span I didn’t think there was enough room for it to make the turn onto the taxi way. It has a camera on the nose gear. You can see the sharp turn it makes in the video.
Apparently a G650 was spotted in Nelson NZ not long ago. Nelson has a runway length of only 4,400 ft (I believe) - so it looks like it can take off in even less distance.
I've towed, fueled and had a walk through tour of this Little Lady at KHXD ... her maiden Stop before ownership took place actually! YOU are correct she had all wheels up in under 1000' AMAZING
While that was very impressive.... I was however disappointed just a bit that you didn't capture the retraction of the thrust reversers.... But that was a phenomenal short take off in a very picturesque setting, good job dude.....
Did anyone else notice the plane actually hunkers down, twice. Watch the front wheel from 1.31 onwards. The first hunker is more noticeable than the second, but still fantastic to see. Didn't know you could that. Would love to take a flight on this great plane.

I think I counted that takeoff at just over 16 seconds. This is a civilian not a military aircraft with that rate of acceleration and performance..WOW!! Even if I won a huge lottery jackpot I still probably could not afford that beautiful aircraft.
I'm fascinated by aircraft but this shouldn't happen anymore. We have a climate crisis & flying executives around the globe in private jets is no longer acceptable.
1:14 the diameter of the engine housings look almost as wide as the fuselage of the plane. Those are some huge engines for a plane that small. This is probably one of the fastest private jets
Global 7500 leaves it in the dust. Goes several hundred miles further, same speed, much bigger cabin with 4 separate rooms, shorter takeoff, can land at London City on a steep,approach which g650 can't, better fbw with full augmentation and envelope protection.

He powdered the engine full and applied braked to get to full thrust and then released brakes to get to speed he needed to take off, normally they dont do that. Good job. Just extend the run way...I guess no room
Nice short field take off. I used to do plenty of theses years ago in a Cessna 150 (back when I first learned to fly). I don't like that color scheme but if you can afford that jet you can do whatever you like.
Øistein74 when you take a 100,000 lb capable airplane and load it to only 70,000 lbs of course it will go like a scalded cat. No surprise. Global 7500 needs less runway.

Taxiing with the thrust reversers out is common with the larger Gulfstreams to spare the brakes -- even at idle, they taxi too quickly.
After working on these birds for 12 yrs im still amazed by them...

I can only guess and use google maps, but I'd say that was about 2000 feet of ground roll which is nothing but astonishing

That is truly amazing. That jet is good size and it got off really quick. And those Rolls engines weren't that loud either. Very impressive.

When you know your job is secure enough to use reversers while taxiing...
Pretty common. Infact I tell my pilots to use the TRs and the full runway. No need to add extra wear on the brakes.

G650 was never designed to be a short field jumper. This is a transcontinental cruiser with MMO at M0,925. It's an amazing achievement.
