Wolfman's alive a ready to whoop some ass! The Marin looks rad as hell with the 1x! I've ran the same chain tensioner that I sent you and the roller is on a slide pin, I recommend a rubber band on each side of the slide pin when it's installed to eliminate any chatter, plus it makes installation easier. Keep shredding 🤙

Welcome back wolfman, I had a similar thing with my diamondback here in canada diamondback bikes are sold in chain big-box stores had 3x8 with brake shifter combo on mine now has complete overhaul to 1x11 shimano deore and has MT201 brakes Now, I call it project Expresso & Brandx Dropper

The MTB industry has in my opinion lost its way.... this was the sport of the poor kid and the kid with no mates who spend his/her time building bikes and practice practice practice but sadly since the advent of things like the X Games etc its become a rich kids game. You guys on the other hand show how affordable it can be for anyone to get involved. For that i thank you, it's always good fun to watch, interesting and very motivational too. Guys thanks for this i direct many youngsters to watch you guys to show them they actually don't need a £5K plus bike to have fun on and that a lot of the basic bikes are where they should start and add too as they go along. Yeah, that bike is from Marin. That means even if that is their cheapest model, they didnt cheap out on it. All the essential things are there, most importantly the quality frame
20:15 that's an unusual way of tightening it, usually the bike is level, and I tighten one side while holding the other crank arm. I use an pedal wrench as it's long, has a good handle, and is narrow, so will fit modern pedals, where an adjustable wrench won't, apart from Knipex Pliers that have been modded made it an adjustable con wrench.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS but you should do it correctly if possible, to make it safer and easier. Camera angle, position was grea. The bike angle is not really an issue i think, but I prefer to have it lower.
9:19 as long as it's clean and decently built dropper post it should be fine. they should be designed to handle it, if it breaks, it's not your fault, but who ever engineered it. If it's dirty you can scratch the stanchion and dirt can and water gets in and it can freeze in the winter.
Its called a "crank preloader" on the spindal. I Just ordered a pretty cane creek blue one for carbon gx crankset, on a race build im doing. They are stronger and lighter, aluminum and a lil splash of bling :)

Really hoping you guys got the Diamondback Sync’r while it was $750. I have it and tend to ride it more than my 2022 Stumpjumper. It’s great on just about anything even taken it to shuttle bike parks.
Have you guys considered a DIY e-bike conversion kit they ain't cheap but it's a lot cheaper than getting an ebike I'm beginning to look at some so I can start riding in the mountains in Appalachians you got trails that are 2 hours climbing straight this old boy hang into that without some help

I had that problem 20 years ago ...got new brakes ..snapped off the combo brake lever..later got shifters when funds allowed me to.

I gave up on hydraulic brakes, too much of a headache, I went back to Mechanicals and upgraded to 180 mm rotors.

Threads were fine, the teeth were the tool tightens into was a little tight.

We love that Blackstone! We have had it for about 6 or 7 years I think. We love having it for large groups and camping.

Haha! Just turn the volume down....we used to have dogs and I totally get it. Anytime someone knocked the 2 dogs would just go nuts (like we couldn't hear the door being knocked on?!?) Crazy dogs.... now we have cats and no longer have that issue. But maybe after a bazillion views they will get used to knowing the difference between the doorbell and the video.
For whatever reason my dogs are ok with it on the video, but heaven forbid when a box truck even drives by!!
