The Colors of Culture | Din Dai | TEDxJenks Youth

Since Din has immigrated to America, he's gained a unique perspective on life, looking at the world through the lens of someone who is an immigrant but doesn't seem to "act" like an immigrant. Society likes to box people into constricting labels and standards, especially immigrants. In his Ted Talk, Din takes a gallery walk through the assimilation process many immigrants undergo, uncovers how individuals can unlearn existing prejudices, and learn how to embrace the Colors of Culture. Din Dai is a current Senior at Jenks High School who immigrated from Thailand to America when he was very young. He is a part of the Speech & Debate Team, Mock Trial, and Odyssey of the Mind, where he has learned to express himself through oration.
