I'm still really happy I found you through looking for any tips or information about Inkense when I was first trying to see if they were for me or not. Since then I've just fallen more and more in love with the inktense themselves as well as learned so much from your videos and just wanted to take a moment to repeat how great your channel is. Thank you for doing what you do!
Fantastic painting Lisa, I luv inktense, it was a previous video of yours that put me onto it. I,m primarily a watercolorist but now I use inktense to create permanent strokes and use watercolour washes to build up a painting , they work so well together 💜👍🖌🎨🖼
I came here for the inktense specific tips, but your general artists tips are fantastic and I have learnt a pile of new ideas such as the turning the pic upside down to bring out the differences more easily. You are a great tutor :)
I loved this Lisa! I've used the intense pencils for years and bought the blocks when they came out and I hated how chalky they looked. They didnt seen the same at all to me and I hardly ever use them. Seeing you layer these up gives me a path to use them in a way that makes sence. Thanks! Btw I treated myself to all the powder blender products and a paste of uart sanded paper as a reward for finishing inktober! Cant wait to play!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I treated myself to both full sets with your art on them and this level of work is EXACTLY what I hope to achieve. I have several horse pieces I've done in graphite over the years and want to re-do a few of them in color. I would have never thought to base layer with the black like this..it made the shadow tones come together perfectly on this Bay horse. My brain would have wanted to start lighter and work to darker tones...but I really believe it wouldn't have worked as well. You are hands down, the inktense master! Toni
Lisa, thank you for helping even the beginner of the beginners. I've found that no detail is too insignificant for you to comment on. I believe thats what makes a great teacher GREAT. And, oh wow, what an incredible artist you are, from beginning to end. (I'd give you lots and lots of gold stars which you probably received when you were in primary school.) I haven't seen my question in any of your comments so far, so here goes. I - can't - draw from imagination (hope that makes sense). Apparently my colouring in is 'incredible' (not my description!), but to form a picture from scratch - no way. I can copy sort of ok but where do I go to get my very own imagination? I really hope you know what I mean. Even if you don't, please can you reply. I know you are extremely busy so I appreciate any feed back from you. Thank you
I have intense blocks and pencils, love them. Your work aways inspires me to pull them out again. Thank you for doing these videos I learn so much from you.
I finally have some art money to get a few inktense pencils and blocks. Is there a difference between the ones that have sea animal covers and non-sea British covers?
Love your artwork on the tin Congratulations! This looks like a medium that I have to try. I'll be going through all your videos, lol. It may be the way to achieve the Black Lab portrait I'd like to do of my furbabies.
This is exactly what I needed! I've found it kind of hard to find realistic horse portraits in watercolor or watercolor-like medium video/toots that I like. Thank you!
Awesome !! Love the pen and ink style u did as the base layer. What are your thoughts on using Inktense in thicker consistencies, milk to cream and fewer layers (like gouache) to achieve a poster/graphic like illustration look. And yes, I understand using it thicker may make it liftable like gouache. Thanks.
Derwent has the lightfast ratings listed on their website, but those ratings are just for the dry product. We aren't sure if adding water makes them less lightfast or not. Derwent has not tested for that.
I love it!!! I wanted to tell you that if you could make more painting videos with the Inktense pencils and blocks, it's because I am fascinated to see how you do it. Thank you very much for your advice, I really appreciate it.🥰❤👍🏻
Lisa, thank you for this, and all of your videos. I learn so much from you! I recently bought the Inktense markers and am trying them out in a mixed media portrait I'm doing. I do have a question. I'm doing the portrait in graphite and blending in color the favorite flower of the individual as the background, for which I'm using the Inktense watercolor pencils. What would be the beat way to seal this when I'm done? I do plan to frame it behind glass.
You didnt says what browns that you used in this piece. I would love to know. Also, it was interesting to see you use white so much. I wondered what to do with the white.
I love painting with Inktense. I just created a red Doberman puppy in Inktense. Thinking I might add a butterfly on his nose. facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10216139951956406&set=a.4860685279861&type=3&theater
@@Lachri I want you to know that you were my inspiration to begin working in art again after 37 years away from drawing. When I started drawing 2 years ago, your's was the first You Tube art channel that I subscribed to. I learned 90% of what I know today from watching your videos. It was truly a blessing that you were there to help me make the decision to pick up my pencils again. Thank you so much for all the hard work and long hours that go into your reviews and tutorials. It is much appreciated!!

Thank you so much for teaching and sharing your knowledge. I suffer a lot from depression and watching and listening to you helps me so much!
I'm sorry to hear about your depression. Art is such great therapy. I'm so glad you found it :)

You two are my favorite two artist. I run back and forth between you both. Thank you for all your teachings and wise words.
Do you have any watercolor Christmas ornament videos?
I love using Uart sanded paper for pencils and pastels! I hope you enjoy experimenting with it!

Yes! Pull them out! They are such a fun medium to work in :D
My reason why I keep going with art. Thanks Ms. Lisa
Wow oh wow!!! Thank you again for your response. This is soooo greatly appreciated.
Lisa is like the elder sister we artists never had. Love your work, you just keep getting better and better!
Oh my gosh, it is!! I love Inktense! Congratulations ❤🎨
Wonderful painting
Thank you :)
Your amazing art is being used to market actual art supplies? That is huge, congratulations!!
Thanks! :)
Awesome Art Lachri.
Thank you :)
@@Lachri welcome
The artwork on the tins is enough to make me want to buy them :D Amazing painting, no one uses Inktense as well as you do!
Thank you

Fantastic! You're such an inspiration.
Congratulations on having your artwork on the tin cover.... you have "arrived".
Thanks :D
Awesome horse, love how you explain everything! Great video 💓 Big Like 💓

Very beautiful
Beautiful work Lisa! 💗

Can you do more derwint inktense videos?
Really love these videos!! Thank you!

Yep, you can totally use these in thicker layers. I like to glaze so thinner, more translucent layers work better for me :D
oh wow awesome i loved it
I enjoyed watching your videos. Thank you for sharing. I would like to ask a question, what about the lightfastness with Inktense?
Derwent has the lightfast ratings listed on their website, but those ratings are just for the dry product. We aren't sure if adding water makes them less lightfast or not. Derwent has not tested for that.
Hi Lisa
The result with the inktense is great. Would it be possible to start with inktense and to continue with colored pencils in top of it?
Absolutely!
What kind of brushes do you use for Inktense? Are they dedicated just for inktense use? How about cleaning them? Thank you so much for posting this.
Just rinse them with water. I like various taklon bristled brushes :D
@@Lachri Thanks so much!
I want those inktense sets with your intense artwork on them :-) Super cool Lisa
Thanks! :D
Ryan here from Firehouse Movers! Pleasure to meet y’all fine folks. Good luck going forward and enjoy the new house 👌🏽
Thank you so much! And thank you so much for all your hard work yesterday! Hope you recovered from all those dang stairs lol. I can't walk today 😂
Lachri Fine Art oh yes! Back at it again just done first one of the day lol speedy recovery ✊🏽
Hi Lisa ! do you use a monitor or Projector to trace your photos to a bigger size? which one its better for you?
Where do you get the print out of the lines before you paint? Is it in your subscription
Very nice
Great work, Lisa. I really like how you work. Also, it is good to see some of your later work with horses.
Thanks :D
Beautiful!

Thank you :)
Where has Lisa been? It’s been over 3 weeks since she’s posted.
It looks like I can unbuckle that bridle and lift it off the horse's head and go hang it up in the tack room. Amazing portrait.
I bought one of the early tins of the Intense sticks and it didn't come with the mixing sections :(
How the heck did you get that brown. Mine are always way darker when I try to mix inktense.
An you use color pencil over inktense medium? My painting skills are weak and I can control better with pencil. Let me know.
I Love your tutorials and your work. I have improved significantly but still have ways to go. You are vey ley helpful on that journey. 9:12
You can but it doesn't stick all that well.
Wao wao 😍very nice 😍
Thanks :)
mam!where do you live?
“Wow”
I love using my ink intense pencils
Me too! They are so much fun to paint with! :D
Might get an few blocks to go with them

I only wanna see it made with the 300$ pencils im scared i wasted my money on im not buying bloxs
Just an FYI... Horses don't have fur. Horses have hair!
Yes! That bugged me too.
I grew up with horses, dad was a horse trainer...it's HAIR.
So pencils are pointless wth you only ever use white like gouche
