    what's really interesting is playing each oscillator through each stereo channel ... fantastic depth

    • @synth4ever
      @synth4ever  6 лет назад +2

      Yep, its possible to get some very wide soundfields using both Oscillator outputs separately. Just one of the CS-30's many great features!

    I really think i have enough synth...but a CS15 or a CS30 - i couldnt resist. But thankfully they are so rare so i am not in temptation.

    • @synth4ever
      @synth4ever  4 года назад

      CS-15 is more common but CS-30 is the pinnacle and yes, not as readily avail... but worth seeking out! :)

    CS-30 is still mostly underrated. The layout is crazy and even though it is a CS, you never really make sounds on it like anything else. I think if the layout was more straightforward, you would default to much more boring patches. I feel like it was built like it is to simply push the user to be different and creative. Downside - remembering how you built a patch later is basically impossible unless you take a picture.

      Yea it's a mad scientist's playhouse, for sure. There are some interesting and odd choices with the functions but overall as you note, the atypical layout leads to spontaneous and creative outcomes that may otherwise never be realized on a more traditional synth.

      @@synth4ever I believe that the Human League found it so counter intuitive to programme, that they ended up getting rid of theirs. This doesn't exactly inspire confidence in a less than expert programmer, like myself! Otherwise they would be top of my want list. I think for an idiot "programmer" like myself (I still don't really understand synthesis) it would probably be much safer for me to buy a CS15 instead.

    • @synth4ever
      @synth4ever  5 лет назад

      @@MisAnnThorpe It's not the easiest synth to get your head around, but that can also make for happy accidents. I agree though that the CS-15 is easier to grasp and I'd suggest that first before moving on to the CS-30.

    Cool sounds there. I especially liked ya made that synth sound like an ambulance midway through. This mostly industrial sound but it gets more musical towards the end. Hey, have ya checked ou my latest vids? I recently posted a blues jam on my 12 string and last week, I did somethin' on my Mexican made Strat that's influenced by my all time favorite guitarist Daryl Stuermer. It ain't a rendition of one his songs, but I just show off my influence from him. And at the end of the week I'll be postin' a piece I did on my new baritone acoustic guitar. Bill Vencil from Chords Of Orion plays baritone guitar a lot. He's purdy muxh the reason I wanted a baritone guitar. And think you'll agree that baritone guitar is great fer ambience. Keep up the good work!

      Thanks man, yea this is more noise industrial sounding but nice to experiment with textures sometimes. Will check out your latest works!
