The cooler is finally available at Walmart and the current price is $144.44. You can find it here: alnk.to/6mJ8fzF
Thanks, noticed that it popped up on my last lifetime/orca/rtic/etc roller cooler google shopping search this past weekend. Only Walmart so far, is that exclusive?
Cooler stuck in Walmart “edelivery” processing for a week. Used customer chat to inquire on order, cooler out of stock. Decided to not cancel and wait, agent gave me 5% off cooler for my troubles. 5% instant rebate on order invoice, surprisingly better experience than Amazon customer service so far.
Hopefully it comes through for you. I have yet to see them in stores.
Thanks you for the links
I just received mine, Beefy ..
I agree with the review. We used ours in 100 degree on a visit to California. Cooler stayed in the car, loaded to heavy to move into motel. Items still in the high 30 degrees after nine days. Started with a container of frozen salt water mix and added ice once at day seven. Beyond my expectations! Two old coolers with same set-up needed ice every other day.
Nice. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Great review! Ijust bought this cooler and I'm fired up about it...
Great review. I'm in need of a new roller, and your review has helped me make my decision. Very thorough....and thanks for the ice retention test.
Awesome. We still love our lifetime coolers.
Excellent comprehensive review. Can't afford it yet, but will certainly keep this in mind, and especially USA made. Thanks!
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
Excellent review, as always!
Thanks Peter!
Very nice, just bought a Lifetime Cooler. So I'm excited about trying it.
I have two lifetime coolers now and love both of them!
Thanks for the information I Bought this cooler because of your review
Awesome. I hope you enjoy
I’m on the hunt for a new cooler this year . I’ll definitely be looking at these lifetime coolers. Especially because of the “made in the USA”. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching Robert. Lifetime also has 28, 55, 77 and 115 quart coolers.
Great review
This will be good for camping
And for in the enclosed trailer. All loaded up to hit the road for a few weeks tomorrow and the cooler is coming.
Great review ! Thanks
Your welcome! Thanks for watching!
Outstanding review! Thank you.
You’re welcome.
@@TheBudgetSportsman I just got mine today!
Excellent and realistic. Thank you.
Thanks Joby.
Another Great Video!
Thanks S.
Another great review!! Very well done and you gave it a real world test. Well done!
Thanks Rick! Glad you enjoyed it!
Also found that these Lifetime 55 quart coolers are some of the few premium coolers whose internal dimensions will accommodate restaurant pans/steam table trays. I find that very useful since I have been looking for a cooler that will fit them in for some time. That actually helped with my purchase decision since I use them quite a bit for cooking out.
That coupled with the price relative to others in this cooler class made it an easy choice for us.
Nice! I’m sure that took some experimenting to figure out which cooler works.
White coolers will give you an extra 8 to 12 hours of extra ice retention. Even saw one test that showed off white was even a few hours better than plain white. Just thought I'd throw that out there side the point of a cooler is ice retention...
I didn’t know that, but it definitely makes sense. Thanks for sharing.
Good review! Looks like it’s ready to head West 😜👍
😢 we had to cancel our trip west 😢 One family member is facing some health issues and another family member has a pregnant wife due about the time of our hunt...maybe 2022.
Oh no! I’m sure you’re disappointed but things happen. Hopefully it’ll come together in 2022. 👍
I own this same cooler and also the 28 quart and they are both great AMERICAN MADE products👍also have a lifetime Teton angler Kayak love it as well👍
I just got their new 20 qt cooler. Everything I have from them seems to be quality!
I just bought the ozark competitor. But all these countless videos are showing that lifetime is out performing ozark, even yeti. Im returning my ozark for a lifetime cooler.
Whats the update on the lifetime?
I just baught a 77 qrt love it
The 77 quart seems like a great size!
White holds ice the longest especially in the sun. Good review of it. I hope it goes on sale for Black Friday I still think they are a bit overpriced myself
I believe the price went up since I reviewed the cooler...like everything else it seems.
Sold! Just ordered 1 from Walmart, be here next week, hope it's as good as the one u tested.
Good luck, we are continuing to enjoy ours.
Good luck, we are continuing to enjoy ours.
I just bought mine today took it to baseball teyouts love it so far. Rolls really smooth and the wheels do feel like rubber. Paid 169 adter tax at wallmart
Great review. Definitely the perfect budget cooler IMO, I own three of them... 😂 😂 😂
Yes I know 😂 I’m pretty sure I need the 115
To bad we’re not closer, we good definitely share it. 😂 Thinking some local buddies will borrow it. The 115 is nice to have but doesn’t get used often. My 28 & 55 are used constantly.
Good review. Even with not a lot of ice im sure the water was very cold. With that it would help keep things cold 👍
Yes, I believe that’s true. The water was definitely quite cold to the touch.
Great review. I purchased my Yeti used a long time ago before they had wheels. When you buy a cooler like one of these. It will most likely be the last one you need to buy. With that said. I still have a green Coleman from the 70's that was used when I was a kid and only stopped using it as a cooler because a hinge rusted and broke a few years back. Made in the USA would defiantly be a reason to buy this. Someone could always DIY a set of wheels or cheap cart to use if you want to save money and still have wheels.
I agree! We also have an ancient cooler that we have been using up until now but it really can’t even keep cold for a 3 day camping trip in the summer.
Your point about DIY wheels is a great point as well.
I just use a Harbor freight red wagon for a set of wheels 👍 costs like 45bux when it's on sale and can handle the bigger coolers fully loaded
I put mine in my wagon
Made in the USA.
What a fucking joke
Good job
Thanks
I would love to see an integrated ruler on the lid.
I bought this model...seemed like the best deal at the time...I payed 175.00 at Walmart...1 year ago.....so far I have no issues...it holds a bag of ice for several days and seems pretty tough...I feel the same about the rope handle..didn't know about the bottle opener...
I’ve been happy with mine, I just wish the price wouldn’t have gone up in the last couple years.
Was looking at the normal grey ones at Walmart the other day. I need a good cooler. Might have to pick one up.
Like the wheeled version
The wheeled version is pretty slick for sure.
@@TheBudgetSportsman , any idea when it hits stores?
No idea. I even tried to verify the Walmart pricing and my contact didn’t even know that.
Just purchased the same cooler via your review, thanks. One question, I added around 5 inches of water then tightened the latches and tipped it on the hinge side and it leaks a little. No leaks from the drain plug, just the one side. The rubber seals seem ok, maybe this is normal. Can someone test this please and respond.
I’m sorry for the delayed response. I have not noticed this before, but I usually don’t tip my cooler over. If it’s a concern I would recommend reaching out to lifetime for clarification.
Thanks for the hamburger test. A "keep food frozen" test would be more helpful instead of ice retention.
The ice retention test really just tests if it does what the manufacturer says it will do, but I agree it isn’t that practical.
What about a food basket? Does this unit come with a basket to keep the food from getting wet?
No it does not.
Hey man I’m debating on buying this cooler how did the wheels end up holding up ? Tore between this one and a igloo BMX
No issues so far. I try not to roll mine across gravel just to keep from beating up the wheels, but i pull it across pavement and grass and had no issues.
Yeti prices are ridiculous, paying for a name.. Thanks for the review
No problem. I have two lifetime coolers now and I’m thrilled with both of them.
They are the best cooler for your dollar. I heard good things about them, but them being sold at walmart I thought people didnt know what they were talking about. I bought the middle size one and put it in my truck and I put ice in it and that cooler held ice for 7 days and that cooler was under a tonneau cover in the middle of the summer. Let's just say I bought all 3 sizes sold at walmart and now I make fun anybody that buys the other coolers.
I don’t mean to fuel your addiction but lifetime has at least 4 sizes. They have the small 28, this one (55), then the 77 quart. Within the last year they also released the 115 quart cooler 😎 seems like you might be missing one 😂
No but seriously thinks for sharing your experience.
Where did you get this cooler? I checked everywhere online, couldn't find the such cooler with wheels!
Lifetime sent it to me for review. It is a new model. It should be available soon at Walmart stores. For now you can view the cooler on their website www.lifetime.com/lifetime-91072-55-quart-high-performance-cooler-with-wheels
It is finally available online at Walmart. You can find it here: alnk.to/6mJ8fzF
While I much prefer earth tones (especially for hunting), white reflects heat a lot better than darker colors so I can easily make an exception. I just ordered one yesterday, picking it up today.
Also, a quick warning to anyone considering these: There are fake Lifetime coolers being sold online that are actually being shipped out of China. Made In The USA coolers don't need to be shipped out of China so don't buy those just to save 30 bucks.
Yes, I agree about the color and the white tends to show the dirt, but definitely reflects the heat.
Thanks for the tip on the Chinese coolers. I didn’t even know that was a thing.
@@TheBudgetSportsman My cooler's going to receive all the stickers I've been collecting from buying guns and knives and ammo and sports gear anyway.
But for the top, I'm going to fab piece of insulation to place on the cooler for me to sit on and that's going to also give it some more space from taking a beating from the sun when I can't keep it in the shade.
Nothing permanent, just a light cushiony rigid panel with maybe with a piece of reflective insulation adhered to it.
I ain't gonna lie...modifying it is going to be fun.
The regular 55 at Walmart in my area is $107.00 if you can find one in stock.
Interesting, I just checked the website and it’s 107 there as well. I guess the price went up since I made the video.
Great review. I bought this cooler because of you. Thank you for the video. P.S. You speak too slow but great video though.
Thanks for the feedback. I can only talk as fast as my brain can keep up 😂
Hope you enjoy your cooler ad much as I enjoy mine.
Is this cooler roto molded?
No its not.
I had ice retensiom issues on my cooler.., They sent me a replace ment for free a couplle of weeks
Nice! Good to hear about solid Customer Service after the sale.
Just bought on your review... walmart, out the door with 6.3% sales tax $158.46.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we’ve enjoyed ours.
There are a ton of reviews of this specific cooler on Walmart's site with people saying all/most of their ice melted in less than 24hours. This review feels a bit too subjective given that the manufacturer reached out to him for the review. BTW the current cost as of 11/15/22 of this model is $149
Well that’s a bit offensive. The cooler was provided to me by lifetime but far from a commercial. I have used this cooler quite a bit and never had my ice gone in 24 hours.
In fact I recently did a follow up ice retention test comparing this cooler to a $300 cooler and the ice in this cooler lasted 7 days sitting on my porch in the summer.
Now to be fair, if you put a pot of hot soup in the cooler of course it’s going to melt the ice. 🤷🏻♂️
That’s because they don’t know how to properly use a cooler. I see reviews like that for just about everything out there. Lifetime is legit.
Total BS. Thursday morning I put a few inches of ice in mine from a hotel ice maker. Small hollow cubes that will melt fast. Loaded it up with food and water then put it in my work van where it sat in the hot sun till I left the jobsite at 6:00pm. I was in and out of it all day and even added warm water bottles into it. Left the jodsite and drove 4 hours to get home. I drained the water, brought it inside, emptied the food out and left the water bottles, ice and water to deal with later. Friday I took the water bottles out and left the ice to deal with later and forgot about it till today (Saturday). This morning the ice was gone but the water was painfully cold and the cooler felt almost like a refrigerator inside. I was really shocked as I wasn't concerned at all with preserving the ice.
This thing performed exceptionally well in the real world given the small amount of low quality ice, the introduction of warm bottles, draining the cold water, constant opening and the sweltering environment.
How much?
$144

The latches on a yeti are hard to release?? Is that a joke ?? They are by far the easiest to undo!! ……😎😂😂😂
No it’s not a joke. It’s been a few years since I’ve used a yeti, but these lifetime latches are 10x easier than the latches on the previous yetis. It’s not me blowing smoke, it’s my honest opinion.
Lifetime uses a mechanical advantage, yeti uses brute force to pull the rubber handles.
@@TheBudgetSportsman To each his own …Not die hard Yeti fan but your over exaggeration on a closure feature that so simple to manipulate BRUTE FORCE and yes I also recently purchased the lifetime 55 Qt not a bad deal from Walmart whatsoever for the price of what you get for a budget cooler!!!
Ok. Wasn’t trying to over exaggerate anything just stating that I honestly prefer the lifetime.
Bear proof with a pad lock lmao 😅 duh
7 min in and you haven’t even started a review. Downvote and move on.
Im sorry you were disappointed. Help me to understand your complaint.
I walked you through all the features, talked about the value of the cooler, addressed the durability and more all in the first 7 minutes. I thought that was all part of a review?
i just got mine in Lexington,NB at wallyworld. mine was 149 bucks... thanks for the review
Your welcome.
