I’ve had the same issues lately with a pair of 2.5s and a 3.3. Watch closely with the rear cover off, you’ll find that noise you were hearing is the connecting rod catching on the edge of the clearance journal. Normally I don’t comment on videos, especially since I enjoy your channel. However, I just wanted to pass on what was causing mine to do the same thing. Later I found that the internal crankshaft bearing wasn’t fully seated. All three engines came that way directly from Traxxas since the engines were brand new in boxes from a recent shipment to my local RC shop.

heat gun is a good alternative to a head warmer its what i use at the race track about 2 minutes before i race, i blast it to 200 degrees F with the heat gun, and then fire it up and idle until its time to hit the track. works like a charm

I had this happen to my new 3.3, shut it off and I was actually going to rotate it to bdc but I went alittle to far so I needed to turn the crank some more but it cooled off enough before I could do it and bam seized, I had to take the exhaust off and use both thumbs and even then it was tough.

    • @thebug4046

It happens. It's a easy fix and air bubbles are from a air leak or low fuel in the tank or Is because of surface tension of the fuel. Some worse then others it seems
