For clarity -- the site is obviously free to use, just the completely optional club (where we send you a book/have calls) is paid!

Hii, I’m personally a StoryGraph girlie, and what made me change apps was that they built a system where you could pass all your reading history from Goodreads to the new app. I hope this helps! Hi from Argentina!

I never understood the monopoly that Goodreads has and made projects like these hard to make because of copyright laws. the world is in chronic need of a collaborative space that fosters reading and intellectual discussion. I really hope you don't limit yourself in this venture and explore all the possible ways of directing people to reading more and finding their hidden passions.
Made an account and poked around a little. (Edit: Thanks for letting me know about migrating goodreads history!) I suggest adding the ability to track audiobook listening hours or percentage completed. Excited to see how it grows!

Because it was bought by amazon and then they just tossed it to the wayside, forgot about it and didn't keep developing it.

Awesome idea, but a little feedback: I can't look around before signing up which is a bit annoying like the webapp wants to push to give my info before seeing anything about the stuff.

I have been following the content for over 5 years now and love it all. I bought your 'Growth Notebook' a few years back and have now finished it. However , upon looking at amazon again to buy a new one the book seems to have changed. There is no leather front cover and the page printing seems inconsistent. I was wondering why that was?

I was trying to signup but I need to allow tracking. I do not want that, never encountered that with another app. Is there a particular reason for tracking? I will be a hard pass for me, really wanted to give it a shot

I feel like this is too bare bones at the moment to make the switch from Goodreads (both in terms of the functionality of the website and the book database), but I am excited to see how this develops.

Can you please strengthen the search system and also add in dynamic suggestions? I typed the complete title of the book, but it didn't show up. Only got the book after typing the name of the author.
Great idea btw. A lot of people have tried to shake up the book tech market. But your attempt seems to be on the right path about it. .Easy commenting, with no 'gif' based reviews and focus on the social aspect. The UI is clean and minimal. I hope the UI upgrades don't erase the minimalism.

That's really great, and your website looks perfect but I can't afford $20 a month. Is there a free version that's not just a trial free version of two weeks that's available? This is why I use Goodreads and Storygraph because both are free. Most books I get are free from my library or ultra cheap book fairs. I wish you well with your website. But for now I just can't afford it. Good luck 🤞!
