@@Tarhockey33 face it majority of the ppl attending the bar either invited by friend, are bandwagoners brand new to the show/franchise, be known in reaction video or no where to go. the only true fan is the bar owner and close friends of his. this is me not being an asshole on purpose BUT its true that 80% of those bar attendants are fallen in one of those categories.

Sean TankTop the show got a big enough outcry that it got its final season approved by Disney even before they came up with the Mandalorian. I’m just saying it may seem that way in certain circles, (that most people haven’t seen) ... and maybe that’s also true within certain age groups or demographics ... but in other age groups or demographics, there must be a huge fan base. Anyway my point is you should become one of us... one of us ... one of us!

MR Dot1 the 2003 show is legends the newer one made by Dave filoni and lucasarts is canon

He was also a known officer during the Purge, Mando (or are we gonna start calling him Din now?) knew of him and would have mentioned he was a Mandalore. It would also give the Mandalorians a more personal reason to hate Gideon. Like how Darth Maul wielding it got a big "um no fuck that" from all the fighting clans eventually.

I kinda predicted that they wouldn’t understand the significance of the darksaber, but when I heard “rip-off lightsaber, I lost it
I’ll give a little history to the “rip off lightsaber” for those who don’t know. The dark saber was created by Tarre Vizsla, the first mandalorian to be introduced into the Jedi Order. The dark saber was then passed down to each mandalorian leader, it first appeared on tv in the clone wars series and pretty much a whole season revolves around it. The last person we saw with it was Bo-Katan Keyze so this really begs the question, how did Moff Gideon get it? Did he kill Bo Katan or did she pass it down to someone and Moff Gideon got a hold of it there? That’s why it’s so important and why the bartender looked so stunned when seeing it

For me, this series has reignited something like that feeling you had on your first time ever watching Star Wars, just multiplied by 10. This has to be what everyone was feeling during the Spring of 1977. Man, I can’t remember the last time I have watched a series this many times times. I am on my fourth viewing. Anyway, I am glad I found you guys. I hope to see your reactions when The Mandalorian Season 2 is released. This is the way!

I was 7 years old in 1977 when Star Wars was in the theater. It was the first movie i ever saw and it changed my life. I try and explain the effect it had on me to people who werent there, but i can never find the words. This series is epic AF glad they finally got it right after the original Star Wars movies.

All I know about the dark saber is that it's from the first mandalorian jedi. Kept in the jedi temple, stolen by mandalorians and used as a symbol of power among their people.

For those who are wondering about the lightsaber at the end, and this may be spoilers for other things in the series, it's called the Darksaber and it's the lightsaber that was made by the first and i'm pretty sure only Mandalorian to become a Jedi. (that's not who the guy wielding it is though obviously. The MandoJedi died a long time ago.)
When I saw the last two episodes and Gideon was introduced I started getting a Darth Vader vibe from him, I E Episode 5 he is the chap that walks up on the wounded hit women, his clothing is a bit reminiscent of Vader's armor, and after he cuts his way out of the Tie Fighter and climbs up on it listen to the music they easter egged in a bit of the Vader theme. I think he is going to be Mandos, Vader like antagonist in the second season.

Dark saber is everything to the mandalorian , it's from the only jedi mandalorian , the Jedi kept it upon his death , the mandalorian broke into Jedi temple and reclaimed the saber and it has been under mandalorian control until now

When I watched this series with other people, i had to explain to them the significance of the Dark Saber because I knew more about it thanks to the fact that I watched Clone Wars and Rebels

The black blade is the Darksaber. Made by Tar Vizsla, the first ever Mandalorian inducted in the Jedi Order. After he passed, Mandalorian snuck in and stole the Darksaber from the Jedi Temple during the Fall of The Old Republic.

Moff Gideon is flying a modified TIE Fighter. All stock TIE's, Interceptors, Defenders, and Vader's Personal TIE have twin yoke joysticks and use footpedals to increase and decrease speed. Moff Gideon's TIE has a single yoke joystick on the right and a speed control thruster on the left. Also stock TIE's don't have folding wings.

Everyone seems to have forgotten the end of episode 5 when the mysterious loner finds the dead merc on Tatooine; I've heard rumors it's Boba Fett. Only another year till we find out in season 2.
If Disney makes it so Boba Fett surviving the Sarlacc canon then I will officially forgive them for the Sequels

This takes place 5 years after return of the jedi if Boba did survive after getting swallowed by Sarlacc and crawled or winched himself out, honestly I think they did what they did to Boba for comic relief his short time on screen was just to close up the arcs on certain characters, and considering neither Jango or Boba were true Mandalorians it is a mote problem. In the novel for empire and the official comic adaptation from the movie it is commented that Bobas armor is clone trooper armor or armor worn during the clone wars.
that's probably a tease to what was later revealed to be Gideon.

The Darksaber was an ancient and unique black-bladed lightsaber created by Tarre Vizsla, the first Mandalorian ever inducted into the Jedi Order, prior to 1019 BBY. The weapon was kept in the Jedi Temple after Vizsla's passing, but members of House Vizsla stole the saber in a conflict with the Jedi during the fall of the Old Republic. The Darksaber was passed down, generation to generation, by the ancestors of Pre Vizsla, who held onto the weapon even after the pacifist ideals of the New Mandalorians replaced the warrior ways of Mandalore.
