That almost looked like what it did here about 3 years ago. (We had about 100 inches of snow total that year.) Can't believe the amount of people there with all the snowing.
Also, Rambalac, I noticed that you keep bringing your hand out of your glove to use your bulb blower. May I suggest something like Hot Headz Glomitts? They're about $15 USD here. Pretty handy though as they're a combo mitten/half-gloves and easily switch back and forth.

I've been surveying the weather of Shirakawa-go since my first visit last Feb 2018.
It seems this much snow was just like this in 2018 and I remember some parts being almost inaccessible (the first snowfall started on Nov 2017 and continued until the whole winter season).
Last year it's also thick but not as much.
Now in 2020, it's January now but there's still not much snow - it doesn't fall daily as well.
Weather patterns are getting erratic as time goes by, I just noted it after watching this video of yours and noticing it's also on Feb 2018.
    :)

I have always wanted to go to Japan, and to this place particularly, since I was like 13 or 14. Now, at 27 y.o, been to 8 or 9 Asian countries, but still havent visited Japan, yet. Was supposed to be there but this Covid pandemic was really on a bad timing.
Watching Japanese cultural videos since I was a kid made me love Japan so much. Also happened that my favorite band is also Japanese, L'Arc en Ciel.
With this, I have loved Japan, its people and its culture even more.
Hoping to be able to visit Japan soon.
