I was in Melborne at the time, me and my dad went to see the V8 Supercars races at Sandown 500 back in the mid 2000s after arriving at Melbourne to see some family friends and relatives with my family in the old Nissan X-Trail.

Sandown 2005 was a cool short enduro prior to the big one and it was best remembered when Craig Lowndes clawed back the 33 second gap to win ahead of Skaife whose front spoiler started to tear apart.

Richards should have been given a drive through for a unsafe return to the track but as always with the bias stewards in the series all they say is we will investigated after the race
