Today I want to show you the result of a challenge that was suggested to me by Telle y Dollies!
She wanted us to make doll figurines by using only black/white/grey and gold colors. I couldn't say no to a challenge!
This is a simple piece, but I hope you will enjoy her process as much as I did :)

Gorgeous! Black and gold (and white) were my university's school colors so I really like this one. I love how you often prove the doubters wrong and put hair plugs in a shrunken head. And your face up was subtle but still beautiful. Also I always love your sculpted legs on this case the hooves. Just amazing. Outstanding piece of art!

She's so pretty, I love the addition of arrows. It gives her more of a character instead of being just a pretty doll.
She turned out beautiful! I think the issues you had on the first layer of her face were most likely from the sealant not setting correctly, MSC is notoriously finnicky, and if the weather is too damp or too cold or too hot it might not work properly. This is a pretty common problem when customizing from what i've seen on youtube and in my own work, which just means there are a few different ways of working around it :)
Yeah... I know that MSC can be very moody. And we do had a rainy November here... Well, I'm happy that she turned out decent and that you liked her! :)

Yeah, I collect BJD's and do my own faceups on them, and sealant + inclement weather = issues. I would have just wiped the sealant and tried again, but you managed!

@@mehchocolate1257 ball-jointed dolls, they're mostly made in asia (Japan, China, Korea, ect), and are really really detailed, and I like them a lot, they usually have slightly exaggerated anime-like features, but also come in hyper-realistic styles. It really just depends. There are hundreds of companies, but they are really expensive, which is why I only have four right now, and they all are from the (relatively) cheaper end of the spectrum.
She’s Stunning .I think her face and body paint are fabulous. I love all the white hair against the dark skin and the little touches of gold.The stand is a perfect finish to her.I really think you dis amazing with so few colours 🥰

She reminds me of Sagittarius, the centaur archer/healer. Also gonna lift so many details for my Famine doll, who's gonna be a white base with black.

when you said " she looks like a skunk " I was like: Oh my god what if she did a series of woodland creatures and put her own twist into them?? Like certain animals you love or think look cool in a whole series; they could be in the same forest as your fairies :)
She turned out so beautifully! I love the sense of calm she has, even though the concept is quite violent… the balance is breathtaking! I also love the flecks of gold you added to her eyes, so magical! 🖤💛🖤💛

XD Yes, thank you for asking :P We just have very sharp knifes and I am a bit clumsy cook :P I love to cook so sliced fingers are nothing new to me :P

My first thought was the three of swords from Tarot cards. Three sword/blades piercing her heart, the card representing heartbreak and pain, and extending on that, potentially betrayal. She trusted someone, possibly even loved them, and in return, they used her, betrayed her, and in the end, killed her.
What a stunning doll! I love the concept, and black, white and hints of gold is one of my favorite color pallets of time!!! I like her sad expression, simple base and just the high contrast of the entire doll in general. I've never been a fan of fluffy, magical unicorns, so it's nice to see something a bit darker and more melancholy than the standard sunshine and rainbows that's become so popular. I blame Lisa Frank! Lol
yes, she is very rainbowie :P You might like Chiara Bautista works, I think :) She draws a magical creatures, but they often have a very dark and sad twist. You might say that this doll was kinda inspired by her works :)

Huh, that’s really interesting. The Catty Noir I got looks extremely different than the base one you used. Like her hands, her lower legs have a really strange like different plastic color than her body? 😅🤷♀️ I think it’s hilarious and odd, but she’s getting a makeover eventually (when I get off my exhausted butt). Anyhoo, this doll looks SOOOOOOOO COOL, emotional, and stunning. You make art doll customizing look like a breeze (which my gosh it is not. Mad respect to you art customizers) her design is incredible!!

I feel heartbroken looking at her. My male instincts are screaming to save her and hide her from whoever is hunting her. Such a beautiful creature should never be harmed. It takes real talent to invoke emotion in people with your work. Great job 👍👏

Love the doll! At 3:48 , when you said she looked like a skunk, I suddenly wanted to see a doll of a misunderstood but cute skunk girl. Just a thought that popped into my head. Love your work, and keep being awesome!

It looks incredible! I've run into the same problem with the pencils before. Instead of using a brush to lift color I will dip the tip of the pencil in water the quickly wipe it on my hand so it's not too damp. Then I find that the pigment is more opaque.

Yup, they are my old photoshoot accessories from way back when I was making fantasy photography ^_^ My plants are always dying, so I thought that those will look nice as a background :P

If the paint isnt sticking to the surface you could try polyurethane clear coat, there is super matt so it wont mess up the shine , when i use some polymerclays for my sculpts sometimes the paint just wont stick and will wash off, then i pre coat the area with DecoArt Americana Duraclear Ultra-matte

I have a new idea u can make a butterfly fairy but with a twist she would have huge wings with the gorgeous butterfly design's in it and the colour of wings is your choice and the body colour would be fading from top to bottom and by that I mean the colour u would choose for wings will be painted in her whole body but stop in the knee fading into black like real butterfly legs and same with her
hands the color of ur choice will start from her upper limb and will start fading in to black from her forearms. And its optional but for making that doll extraordinary u can sculpt her back with clay like a camouflage technique for making her look like a butterfly when humans try to catch her. Oh and I have forgotten to say that use a reference photo of a butterfly while creating this doll . Pls take the idea and make it into a doll 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

First she's beautiful. But some gold hooves and red horse shoe would have utterly gorgeous, maybe after your colab is done. Louboutin horse shoes would just be perfect.

Tak się zastanawiałem czy się pojawi jakiś upiorny "holiday special" - Krampus, Grinch czy inna złowieszcza świąteczna cholera a tu proszę, grupowe wyzwanie :)
Jak zwykle mroczne w tematyce (me gusta), zestawienie kolorystyczne zdecydowanie kojarzy mi się ze stylizacjami użytymi jako teledysk do Voluptas Mors - Slow down.
Troszkę szkoda (w moim odczuciu oczywiście) że dodałaś rzęsy. Zrobiłaś fantastyczną robotę jeżeli chodzi o makijaż oka a ta biała szczecinka nieco przytłacza, rozmywając tak dopracowane szczegóły - a przynajmniej na filmie tak to wychodzi. Tak, wiem - twój projekt ;) Tak tylko sobie marudzę. Kopytka to rozumiem pokłosie jakże udanego eksperymentu z Andariel? Sierść po wierzchu trochę jak u brabantów czy niektórych fryzyjczyków.
Co do kamery - nie wiem co tam masz za sprzęt ale jak chcesz uniknąć niespodziewanych jazd z kolorem to zobacz czy możesz w opcjach wyłączyć automatykę balansu bieli. AWB to zuo, szczególnie przy sztucznym oświetleniu a jak masz jeszcze mieszankę kolorów światła typu świetlówka plus ciepłe LEDy albo żarówka i zimne LEDy to robi się to "całkiem normalne" że kamera bzikuje.
Podobnie z ostrością - masz dość silnie oświetlone pole robocze więc jak masz możliwość wprowadzania ustawień manualnych to może warto zaeksperymentować i zamknąć przesłonę na maksa celem uzyskania największej głębi ostrości, zablokować ostrość i zobaczyć czy w ramach ruchów które wykonujesz przed kamerą wychodzisz poza obszar głębi ostrości czy nie.
Rozumiem w pełni. To samo czuję za każdym razem kiedy Poppen Atelier przykleja rzęsy swoim lalkom :P Choć te białe, na półprzymkniętych powiekach, wyjątkowo mi się podobają :) No ale obaw nie ma - za często po nie sięgać nie będę ;)

What kind of tool are the itty bitty ones with blue handles that you used for applying pastels to tiny little areas? I've seen them (or at least something similar) used by various customizers but I can't seem to find them to buy some for myself!

You probably talking about the micro brush applicators :) You can buy them, for example, on amazon or you can check out your local beauty saloons and dental clinics suppliers :)

We don't have an interesting foaming wood glue in America that I know of but I'm very curious about it, What we call wood glue is fully opaque and does not foam up when it's curing
We have a lot of wood glue types here. For example the white one, that cures transparent is called a vicol glue and it is also a wood glue.
You should try a centaur by combining a horse doll and a monster high doll! i bet it would look so sick with your painting skills... maybe like a recreation of one of the fantasia centaur girls?
candys.dolls on instagram made a wonderful Fantasia centaur girl, so I was never tempted to try it out myself XD I don't think that I could make it better than she did :) But I do have a centaur doll on my list :P

Unfortunately I am not JK Rowling and my world is not a Harry Potter universe :P But if it sounds more legit to you, you can say that she is not a typical unicorn, but a unicorn faun :P Maybe their blood could be gold? :)
Hi why not just cut the lashes if you find them to long also depends on if you're using doll lashes or human sized ones. She looks cool to btw x 😌
Thank you :) I never used black fake lashes on my dolls, mostly because I am not a fan of how they look on dolls made by other creators, so their length is not my decision :P I bought those white ones because I've seen someone using them and it finally looked very good (in my opinion, of course). Yes, I needed to cut them down a lot. And they were dolls lashes, not human lashes :)

She's Gorgeous! The Tragic yet Happy tales of the Night Unicorn
The Night Unicorn was only trying to heal a broken village and one of the foolish hunters shot the poor creature for falsely accusing the unicorn for causing their land to die,
In rage the heaven's punish the hunter by turning him into a tree, and as for the unicorn sadly it died by using one last miracle to heal their land,
it's tears and blood gave life to the land and the villagers they all weep for her begging her not to die. They made a statue in honor of the Night Unicorn still they morn for her, but don't feel too bad my friend's cause truth be told Miracles never die, way up in the sky the Heaven's heard their prayers and gave the night unicorn a second chance of life She became
Twyla the Heavenly Starlit Night Unicorn, her horn shines like the angels Halo, her tears become stardust, her mane shimmer as white as snow, and her eyes glow like the full moon.
Out there somewhere if you listen closely you can still hear her neighing in the night wandering out there somewhere for her voice brings joy to all humans young and old forever.

This is absolutely amazing! The minimal pallette and your process on the doll are just beautiful together! And maybe how many unicorns are born in full moons maybe she was born on a waning crescent instead, so there's a lot black because of it?

This reminded me of the works from one of my favorite artists, Chiara Bautista; particularly, her recurring Faun character.
It looks amazing. The long legs fit her, though personally I normally shorten the legs above the heel a bit when designing two legged digitigrade creatures. Though I just learned that hoofed creatures are called unguligrade when trying to look up how to spell digitigrade.

Have you ever watched Hextian's channel? He is a doll customizer but he paints the eyes much bigger on his dolls. He uses fake eyelashes and cuts them down to size.
