    I started watching you after getting addicted to Dollightful and I was instantly taken with how differently you approach things vs how she does it. Your work is very different -posed vs articulated, the faceups are done differently, techniques are different, different media etc. But you both tell a story with your work and it's all art. I love what you do and how much detail goes into your art. I hope some day you can stop being so hard on yourself and your talents because you are amazing!

    The carnage! Decapitation,removal of legs and an arm, ( a boob job!) the agony and ecstasy of getting the sculpted horse armature hind to connect, this was a full epic drama! Watching everything come together was emotional and because it was for your sister, a labour of love. There's no way she doesn't love this as much as we do. There's nothing wrong with your sculpting, in my humble opinion, it's bloody marvellous 😀 Best birthday gift ever.

    She came out so amazing! I love the dynamic pose and the war paint, she looks like a Celtic warrior princess. According to the Romans, the Celtic warrior women were fearless, and went into battle bare-chested to intimidate men. Hard to say how much of that is true, and how much is Roman propaganda, but it makes for a very powerful and dramatic image.

      Not only more creative, she manages to find more and more detailed with each new piece as well! It's truly astounding! I love that she reroots the hair. Everyone else just makes a wig. Wigs are not any easier and they don't save time. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't just go the reroot route.

    Oh Wow!..I wish I was not as skilled at sculpting as you are. She looks Exquisite on her own and the sculpting is superb. I have seen the others done from the ready made centaurs in these dolls ,but they do not look as proportional as yours does. This is so beautifully sculpted right down to the hooves.I love the choice of hair,much nicer than the first choice. But what I think I love the most about your dolls is that they are more of a figurine rather than just a doll . They are all very special and a beautiful piece of art work too.🥰

  • @HeartOfArt7
    @HeartOfArt7 2 года назад +12

    Oh, my, she turned out so beautiful. I love her war paint and for your very first time, I think the horse body turned out pretty dang accurate. The only thing I would've done differently is placing her tail behind her similar to her hair, instead of in-between her legs, since it covers the right back leg a little, but that's just a personal preference of mine. I'm sure your sister will love her birthday gift 💕🎂🎁
    Also, I just love those little unrelated clips you always put in the end! I always stick around to see them ^^

    • @CatmeleonStudio
      @CatmeleonStudio  2 года назад +2

      Thank you :)
      The placement of the tail I based on an idea that she is about to land on her four legs and stopped to freely trow the spear (I thought it could be hard to take a good swing while galloping and looking backward :P). And even if her movement is suddenly stopping - just like in a car when you pull on the breaks - her hair and tail are still moving forward. That was the idea :P But as I said - I was experimenting a little :P

      You're right about that. I didn't consider that even when you come to a sudden stop, your hair's/clothe's/bag's, etc. momentum doesn't stop 🤔

    seriously impressive that you sculpted almost a whole horse body despite not being an experienced/confident sculptor. i love that the horse part and human body part is the same color too, and the contrast it makes to her white crimped hair. the addition of white body paint was very clever as it made the character more visually interesting and hints at a potential backstory. an amazing piece of art, as always!

    Nigdy nie interesowałem się lalkami, ale jeśli mam być szczery, twoje projekty mnie urzekły. Odkryłem ten kanał wczoraj i obejrzałem już kilka filmików. Ten szczególnie mnie zainteresował, bo na codzień zajmuje się malowaniem i przerabianiem figurek koni. Jestem pod wrażeniem efektu, który uzyskałaś pomimo, że była to twoja pierwsza próba rzeźbienia konia. Nawet jeśli jest mocno uproszczony. A wzorki na zadzie przypominają mi te indiańskie. Efekt jest super! Chętnie zobaczyłbym coś podobnego, ale w połączeniu z ciałem jelenia, łosia, albo nawet byka

    Congratulations on the 80k followers! You absolutely deserve it! :D It's always a joy seeing you in my new video feed. I don't do doll revamps/sculpting so much myself, but have background in art, love design a lot, and really enjoy watching your process.
    For this doll, I need to tell you I was H Y P E D when you went with the pale eyes/horizontal pupils look. Weird pupil shapes are so visually fascinating to me and I think the horizontal ones we see in horses, goats, deer, cows/bulls, etc. are no exception. They can really transform a face, and combined with pale lashes made this doll incredibly striking! Octopi, cuttlefish, rays, and some geckos are also ridic fun imo.
    Also think you both made the right call with the horse body, and need to give yourself some major credit for how well you sculpted it--armature struggles and all! My impression has been that horses give a LOOOOOOT of people difficulty lmao--not just sculpting but 3-D animation and animation, still drawings, etc. Not only does the body look believable, DAMN THAT POSE IS DYNAMIC.
    Wishing you all the best, going to think over if I've got any burning questions for that section lol.

    My goodness she is just stunning!!!!! I mean, I'm not surprised at all because I love every single one of your creations but still... YOU SCULPTED AN ENTIRE HORSE BODY MARZENA!! And it's a pretty darn realistic looking horse body too.

    Wow, I have been in this channel for a while now and I really don't get tired of your style, your crazy techniques and bravery when tackling your proyects. It takes guts not to take the easy routes and it's great to see you take every opportunity you have to learn something new! Hats off to you, mad lass! Regarding sculpting, this was a very good first try! Next time you can have an additional reference with the muscles of the creature you're trying to sculpt, it is easier to capture the subtle natural bumps in a body when you know where they come from. I look forward to the 100k subs video! Let's go!

    i am a little over halfway through the video, to where you started talking about your previous sfx sculpting. you are already an amazing sculptor, trust me. but yes, there is no harm in constantly learning and trying new things. every artist starts somewhere and can only improve with more practice. you truly do inspire me to keep trying to improve my new hobbies, along with a few other doll customizers who make doll clothes by hand. it's always nerve wracking to try and do something new, but the enjoyment and fulfillment from completing the project is always worth it in the end. i look forward to your future projects and the adventure with trying new things.
    my parents never gave me the support i wished for in my own artistic adventures growing up, (i wanted to be a disney artist, but my parents said i would never become one because i didn't have any "original ideas") so i never practiced hard enough to get better and stopped drawing altogether a few years ago. my oldest son is a very talented artist, from a very young age of only 4 (i don't have it now, but he drew spongebob from the cover of a book he had and aside from some wonky sizing aka too squished sideways and too tall longways, it was really really good), and can make original characters where i could not. unlike what my parents did with me, i encourage him and his younger brother to continue to practice and get better in all of their interests and hobbies. my oldest recently found his old drawings from only a couple years ago and was surprised at the changes and growth he's made already. i know he can go far with his skills and one day we will see his name in the credits of an anime, or movie.
    encourage everyone around you to go and begin, or improve, something they truly want to do. it's not too late to try something new or get better at something you tried to do but felt it wasn't working out. you can do it! i know you can!

      Sad to hear about your parents. But it is good that at least you learn that the support from our loved ones is so very important. I do not think that your parents mean anything wrong, but you still can be a better parent - a supportive one :)

    The connection of the wire to the bolt. Try a product called j.b. weld. It is used in home repair and could be a great option for those issues. I have never done a doll makeover and am not claiming any expertise but it was the first thing I thought of watching you struggle.

    what i truly love the most about your channel is the way you record the entirety of your artistic process and all the things you try and learn. seeing your videos for the first time a year ago made me start making miniatures which is something i had always wanted to do and your videos really made me feel like i could try it and not worry about being bad because how else can you learn without trying stuff first. i’m still making miniatures now and i’m definitely getting better but also still learning and i couldn’t be happier! thank you for helping me find the confidence to try things that i enjoy without the worry of “not being good enough at it” to love it :)))

    Great job on the horse body. It looks amazing. I also want to mention that I appreciate you covering the steps you take while customizing, but leaving some out. I view the way you do it as "your style." Everybody has individual styles and shouldn't do everything exactly like somebody else. I like that you leave room for exploration and looking elsewhere for some parts. That's a great idea. Thank you for all that you do. While I am dipping my toes in the customization world, the advice in your videos is both enjoyed and appreciated.
