Today is my birthday and I come to you with a little gift!
That is right. Today I'm gonna make a doll that many of you requested - The Bone Fairy!
She is a distant cousin of my Tooth Fairies, with a little bit darker attitude ... Hope you will like her and enjoy the process of creating her.

Tooth fairies are a smaller, and much friendlier sub species of the much larger, and more aggressive bone fairies......I remember seeing that post and thinking it was an amazing idea.
She may not be bigger, but she is definitely more fierce :)

@@ssapphire7781 it’s just a funny/spooky twist on the concept of the tooth fairy. If a tooth fairy takes teeth, one can only imagine what their more aggressive cousin the bone fairy does 😅

Having that tooth fairies exchange teeth for money, I think bone fairies would steal human Bones. Those Bones could be from corpses or living beings

i know you most likely won’t see this but you should definitely buy black 3.0! its the darkest shade of black ever! i think it would look SO GOOD on your fairies eyes! like your staring into a void

This one is stunning! I love faerie concepts that are actually spooky, and the detail on this doll is out of this world! Easily one of my favorites you've done.
I loved that you decided to cover up the skeleton, it looks even creepier with that leathery skin pulled taut over it!!!
The only suggestion I have for future videos is to use longer tracks for background music or rotate them, because after half an hour that piece was hard to listen to haha.
I tried to look for something longer but finding a proper free audio is not that simple :P

She's so spoopy, I love it! I'm really starting to prefer static dolls over articulated ones. I think many doll artists sacrifice their design in the name of JOINTS! Ironically, the stiff dolls often have muuuuuuuuch more movement than a poseable one! Keep it up, queen.
Happy that you think that :) I think there are pros and cons of both, but static dolls can be more like... statuesque :P And I am personally more into figurines than actual dolls :P But I still love watching both on yt ^_^

I actually think the small crack on her ankle would be a happy mistake, think of it as a break/fracture in a bone :)
Honestly, a very good touch that ended Up missing could've been to put the wings under the scapulae

Ah! I used that method for yarn wefts too!(add glue to the base, add wefts). Lately I've used a ruler to held wool down(angora dyes wool, so soft and delicate)

Thank you :) It is not that easy to get good angora wool here in Poland.... so I am stuck with acrylic :) But I would like to try rerooting one day. And sculpting the hair too :)
Sounds great (and tidious ,believe me). Sculpting is relaxing, too uwu
I ordered my dyed angora wool from a master in other town and... let's say I won't dye it myself anymore (at least soon) - the skill is different, I got mine silky smooth and gorgeous. And smelling nice.
A little ramble - colors are tricky on photo, like I ordered champange blond, pinkish gold and was surprised how light it was! Still fitted the project perfectly though.

I really loved it, but I gotta say you didn't need to fix the head since it would be cool to have an open crack on the doll's head. Still looked amazing! On the horns you could've done a wash, it would've been faster for you and work even better.
P.S: I really like your chopping bord, it's a fun mixture of Picasso with Romero Britto, I liked even tho I'm not of fan of either of these two artists. I kept staring at it and remembering plenty of works I've seen when I was child
I love my chopping board too ^_^ I didn't want a crack, because I wanted this girl to be a "real" living creature, not a flying skeleton. And I tought that cracks and holes on a living creatures won't be a good thing for its health :P

What if the bone fairy is kind of a bad version of the tooth fairy?? Like, instead of taking bones from the dead she comes and takes you apart, to make more of her kind, not stealing from dead things bc the bones are too brittle, and thats how they "reproduce"????

It looks fantastic! the only thing that I would add is some litter flowing down the sides of the base so that it looks like the hand is rising up from the ground.
Yeah, I agree. With this specific technique it is really hard to control the glue-litter mixture though :P I think that bigger stand would also do the trick..... but I already had this one and cutting and sanding wood is really messy :P I am usually doing it outside, but it was a very rainy April in Poland :P

It's called a face-up on a doll. Fairly common terminology for face-up artists and doll repainters. Makeup goes on PEOPLE. Face-ups go on dolls. You don't draw on your actual eyes and mouth before you go out, after all.... You get made up. A doll needs a whole face. Makes sense now?
Yes ^_^ Make up is for human ( I am a make up artist so I do know that :D) and face up is for dolls :) It is because it is not only a blushing and eye shadow, but entire face with irisis etc :P

On your video, when I get the recommendation I see what the doll will look like in the end, you should start blurring them out, since it’s a lot more fun not knowing what they look like!
I am not that big youtuber. Not many people know my style, level of skills and capabilities... And from my experience - people do click on a thumbnail if it's interesting. They see an image that they like and want to see the process. Not many people will click at some random creator and spend more or less 30minutes watching the video, not knowing is it worth it or not.... I know that I'm, personally, always skip to the end of the video with "unknown" thumbnail to see if I really want to see the process of that particular doll. So, personally, I like to know what am I watching from the start, especially with the longer videos.

Weird but cool but perhaps another idea would be to do a bug fairy. That would be the child of the fairy & bug king ? ...you’d have to watch the movie or at least google for reference pics for an idea lol but it’s be fun ....

The doll is impeccable, but the way you staged it is also so well-done. It really looks like a skeletal hand. Bravo.
Looks like darth mauls little sister. But i do have a few suggestions make fairies of poisonous plants most of all the donna bella ( deadly nightshade). And a fairy in mid shape shift between fairy and her camouflage. And maybe dark fairies too........oh if you make your wings from uv resin add a few drops of paint or food coloring to resin before you use the uv light.

I feel like you could incorporate more lore into the bone and tooth fairies. While tooth fairies are docile, and kids do no fear them, bone fairies require offerings to keep them from coming to your house at night and stealing your bones. If you get a limb amputated, you give that bone to the fairy, but if you don’t, it comes to your house and steals a rib every night until your left with none, and you perish if you haven’t already. I feel like doctors and surgeons would warn you to remember this fact, and seeing people on the streets with roadkill bones and such isn’t an uncommon sight, as some believe in the fact that if you give extra offerings to the bone fairies, they’ll grant you with stronger bone health. But due to their cruel nature, they lead people on to killing animals and even other people for their bones they so desire.
Ps: writing this im realizing how screwed up i have to be to think these things-
I might’ve ad some boobs, just a little, since it’s not an actual skeleton, but a very skinny female-ish humanoid… if I could ever do anything at least close to that. But that’s just a matter of taste, not a criticism.

Love it. At first I didn't like that you covered her original bones but I really like the outcome. I did prefer her hair before you cut it but this works too. Question, why kitty litter and wood glue? It's just a strange combo. Also, how long have you been doing the doll repainting? If you're new to it you've found your calling for sure. Hi :) Thank you for your comment and for the compliments ^_^ I made my first repaint in Nevember 2020 (I think). I am posting every single one of my doll projects here, so I made like 8 dolls in total (7projects, one with two dolls) :) I am still pretty new and have a looooot to learn :) Kitty litter is something that I always have in my house :P I though one day that it could add a nice texture to the stand.... and because I am making wooden stands, the wood glue was my first choice of adhesive. And that is pretty much it :P I do like this method - it is working for me really well :)
