- 'Lo Howlers! This is a non-spoiler Light Bringer book review, or more accurately: me gushing for 18 minutes and 26 seconds. Brb I'm just going to go stare at a wall and/or continue to annoy Carlos by talking about nothing but Red Rising. Thanks for watching!

Clang Clang Clang was EPIC!!! Also a big huge F U to Lysander!!!
I agree on both counts 😂
This book is outstanding.
I’m bookmarking this to watch in the future for after I get to this one! The Red Rising trilogy was one of the most impactful and emotional reads of my life, and I am so excited to continue the journey into the sequel series soon.
If that’s how you felt about the original trilogy I’d say you’ll love the sequels (hopefully)! It’s an incredible series 😍
i've just finished it and i still wonder why pierce brown is so mean to us lol i'm eager to know how this will end. (pierce brown, if you happen to read this, PLEASE let my babe darrow be happyyyy)
I am both eager and terrified 😂
Just started Light Bringer.....I'm getting back into the groove.......I've forgotten some previous details etc since I read Dark Age quite awhile ago.....but, wow, I do love the world and the characters so very much.
I'm excited that you're thrilled with the book. Thanks for your thoughts. ❤
I hope you enjoy it! He does a good job of catching you up a bit (I think). I just started rereading it 🤣
Really well said Yolanda. I also think this may be my favourite book of all time. I have not been able to stop thinking about it since I finished. Agree about the quotes, there was so many I loved so much and just keep going back to look at.
Thanks Taylor! Same, I can’t stop thinking about it all 🤯
This is one of the first books I've ever started again after just finishing.
100% understand. I went right back to the start and reread Red Rising 😂
I tore through LB in four days, couldn’t put it down! Now I’m rereading it slowly to truly appreciate it
Same here, I’m itching to reread it as well!
What a bloodydamn great review! That intro was so perfect!
If you had told me a year ago I would go from not wanting to touch the series after DNFing the first book three times to nearly frothing from the mouth for Light Bringer, I wouldn't have believed you 😂. I'm still making my way through this book, on the edge of my seat, wanting to know what happens to these characters!
Thanks RJ! I’m glad we successfully bullied you into giving it a fourth try 😂 the way the series continues to level up is just crazy. Enjoy the rest of Light Bringer 🔥🔥
I am so happy you loved it Yolanda, I'm actually afraid to read it without Red God. I don't know if my mental health can take it. Dark Age devastated me. Your comments welcome. I love the Red Rising original trilogy.
BTW, you guys are terrific keep going with whatever you do - it's great
Thanks Michele! I totally get that, I don’t know how I’m going to cope with the wait for Red God😬
Such a great review Yolanda!
Thank you so much!
Such a wonderful and passionate review. I resonate so strongly with everything you said about this book, about the series as a whole, about Pierce Brown's writing, and of course the beautiful things you said about reading and books in general at the beginning.
I'm still in a bit of a stupor from finishing Light Bringer last night. I read the last 180 pages in basically one sitting and stayed up until past 3am. I don't want to write spoilers in this comment section just to be safe, but all I'll say for now is: Clang. Clang. Clang.
Yeah, you know what I'm talkin about.
I am astounded by how epic and well written that whole section is. The build up to it, the execution of it. Wow. The writing is so sublime and deep and powerful. I can't get over how awesome it is.
I'm looking forward to you talking more about Red Rising in future videos!
I know exactly the scene your referencing and I think no it might be one of the most well executed scenes I’ve read. Goosebumps as I was reading.
I’m definitely still in a bit of a stupor as well, digesting all of the emotions this boom made me feel. I’m glad you loved it as well! Powerful stuff indeed 🔥
@@storytoob Greatest duel I think I've ever read or seen. Beyond epic. I'll be quoting "Clang. Clang. Clang." forever now.
I laughed so hard when Sevro was mocking the dead, and started speaking into the ear necklace. I’m literally smiling as I write.
So many great moments!
-Were you two in touch these last weeks? You’re acting like you share a secret language all of the sudden.
-Isn’t that always the case with those who read the same books?
Great line.
Such a great line ❤️
Beautifully said. Couldn’t possibly agree more. Please let me know how many days we have to wait before we can declare it our favourite book ever 😂 maybe we can get a countdown going for that
Do you think two weeks is reasonable? I can start counting down, I have experience 😂
@@storytoob hahaha alright sounds good. Haven’t even managed to write a coherent review yet but i’ll do it when i’m ready
You should try the "Jean le Flambeur", the Gentlemen-Thief Trilogy by Finnish SF author Hannu Rajaniemi :)
Just looked it up and that sounds wild, thanks for the recommendation! Definitely going on the tbr
@@storytoob In my opinion, it tops Darrow and the Rising. It is not an easy read, however... well you'll see when you get there :) Enjoy!
The two character relationship you’re talking about is Lyria and Cassius isn’t it 🖤
Yes ❤️❤️❤️
Yep. The book is the best in the series. He outdid himself.
100%, I don’t know how he keeps pulling it off
Hi 👋 good review video 🎥
Thanks Safina!
