I'm fully convinced that this man was never actually hired for this role, and just kept wandering onto set and stepping over the actor they hired's cues but it was so good the producers left it in the film.

As someone with 2 brothers of ages similar to the movie, I’ve never seen a movie as relatable. After losing my parents it feels really empty to watch it now, but even at that, it will always be one of my favorite movies of all time.
I feel like this was supposed to end up like every other children book movie adaptation and was gonna be blew over and forgotten about, but it actually somehow ended up being really good and everyone remembers it.
I think at the part when they found out about Rodrick’s party and the bathroom door being replaced with a door with no lock, his dad was 90% close to going full psycho and lose it
In my lifetime, I have related to Greg, thinking he is the hero. I later related most to Rodrick, thinking he was the funniest character. Now I relate most to the dad, understanding the trials he goes through at the cost of his sanity.

As someone with 2 brothers of ages similar to the movie, I’ve never seen a movie as relatable. After losing my parents it feels really empty to watch it now, but even at that, it will always be one of my favorite movies of all time.
