Next tutorial needed for Fusion 360? Thoughts?
Hey Tyler,I would like to see you draft a semi complex part and then showing the cam to it. I've noticed that most people show you how to cam something without showing you how to draft it first.Hope that helps...
Hy, the topic I would like is how to copy a sketch from an existing component to a new component. Or how to extract the geometry of a part to design the workholding options for that part. It might be simple but I haven't found it yet. It is simple in mastercam with the level type interface but fusion is a hundred times better sketching.
Keep up the good work!
As a Fusion 360 newcomer I'm having difficulty understanding how to export a selected component from one design into a new project. A tutorial showing how to do this would be most useful! Thanks for all the great stuff you do!
Could i just suggest making these videos in a darker environment? The all white is just all too much white. Everything is not exactly as clear as could be. Its all visible but its a strain on the eyes. I usually work in Dark skies but any will do.
I’m trying to think of something super hard to ask you to do next.
Wish I had just googled this like a few years ago.... Been working around these two very unnecessary issue rather then resolve it with a few seconds of youtube.... Finding out how to turn on timeline for imported models is gonna make modifying models way simpler!... Thanks man!
Excellent tutorial. Great information delivered in a calming tone. Thank you for posting, subbed!
Brilliant thanks. Just beginning my F360 journey and this was great. Cheers, JAYTEE
Thank you! Enjoy the Fusion 360 journey.
Thanks, this was very helpful!
Tyler, I love these very specific little videos, they are concise, the tips are very interesting and easy to remember. And more importantly, very useful.Fusion 360 is a great tool that I use as a hobbyist usually for 3D printing.
Thank you.You saved me a lot of time!!!
Very helpful. I ran into this problem when I created a new component and needed to reference the center of a hole, which was the origin of the original component. When I activated the new one, the origin was suddenly no longer the center of the hole. The align command solved the problem.
Glad to hear it.
After watching multiple styles of YT tutorials, I really like your methods bc you verbally explain the shortcuts you are using. Past YT instructors I've been drawn to do the same and help me master a program so much faster, as shortcuts are usually the last thing people learn but I think it can be so much more efficient ( at least for me) to learn the shortcuts right away. Thanks!
Tyler, Your videos are very good. Clear, concise, and easy to understand. Thanks and keep 'em coming.
Appreciate that!
Thanks Tyler ! Liked and subbed :)
Thanks for the sub!
Helps me a lot
Thank you.
Very helpful, thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Cool, I'm gonna align myself on that new trick.
Glad to hear it :)
thanks a lot!
This was driving me nuts last night, as I was importing parts from the Insert Manufacturer's part. For the love of God though, who writes software that imports things into mid-air? Don't you think the grown-ups at Autodesk would improve these basic things as default behaviours? Maybe I expect too much simplicity as a newbie. Thanks so much for making my life easier!
Cool video, thanks :)
Glad you liked it!
Great ! Thanks a lot
You are welcome!
cool tutorial , the only thig is that I want to realign the whole component ( including sketches) to the origin and it seems like your way only works on body's level
thank you
Love the videos Sir. Any reason not to use a rigid joint? I struggle with the align tool and find joints easier. I’d love your thoughts on that topic some time. Cheers
hello, this is a nice presentation, is there a way instead of moving the object to the origin, to move the origin to the object ?
Yeah having like a local per component origin would be great, especially in furniture design
Great tutorial, though how would I apply this to a mesh body from a 3D scan?
yo is that a mountain bike frame in the thumbnail?
and if so what is it?
it looks like the demon child of an Evil and an ibis mojo???
The problem I'm having is that the origin alignment doesn't match my orthographic views. Even though I can snap my model to the origin when I use orthographic view it's all crooked. Please help!
OK my problem is a little different I am importing a step file but it's of the entirely completed model and it's all wonky it is tilted in three different axes for some reason and it's pulled way off of the origin point so I have no idea what I'm doing and it's important that I have it at least flat and square within the environment there is a bottom plane that needs to be flat to the bottom of the environment
How do you move an entire assembly in one shot, to a new origin and different plane?
I opened a f3d file, but the assembly is hanging upside down!
All the parts for the assembly is in the file.
Some parts are set to invisible. He put all the options in one file and turned off the stuff not needed!
I'm very confused, I've used all the methods but when I'm in sketch mode in the top position, the position changes to an angle. What am I missing here?
how to change axis to different location not vice versa
What if there are no points to select?
And none of this actually changes the origin of the body. In fact, your demo bodies don't have an origin. You're selecting different "action origins" but none of this affects that actual body or component origin. Why Fusion does not let you modify the actual origin is beyond me.
ummb
Title is misleading, the origin is not being changed.
