Today we are out for another ride up in the Burlington area, but today is special because we are joined by Phil and Hailey's good friend: Buffalo.
Yes, there is a great story behind it, no we can't get into details ;)
Anyway, we are out at Cadey Hill, which turned out to be a really fun place to ride, and FINALLY the weather has made a turn for the better. This wasn't the longest ride ever, but it sure was full of fun moments and some great slices of singletrack.
I was SUPER STOKED after the ride to get a tour of Buffalo's Ford Transit that he resides in. He has a super minimal layout that he built all himself.
The post ride activities only made the day better as we headed out for a beer at the Trappe family Brewery then into town for some delicious ramen and ice cream.
All in all it was a pretty darn awesome day, and I hop you guys are having a great one too!

Awesome!!! Just have to say this is not a dig, THIS IS NOT A DIG!!!!! It's kinda refreshing to see real guys like you taking on trails like this and seeing the struggle of getting through or failing at a feature! We all fail and it's not too often you see that on a video, helps you grow and see what you can do better, this is awesome, keep at it man, love the content!!!!!!!!

Dude!! I was just up there this week, rode Cady Hill, and Von Trapp. The dudes at Ranch Camp and Von Trapp are good people.
I am SO STOKED to be seeing you and Phil riding the trails I ride, I ride kingdome trails, Saxon hill often and just recently found this place, I LOVE the fluoresce flow trail. Keep up the good work! I hope to see you on the trails someday and have you sign my trance lol
Dude your riding is getting back to stellar mode. It's good to see. Phil is an absolute beast, his jumps are awe inspiring. Those jumps Phil nailed right at the 6:58 mark were sweet. It just amazes me how easy he does that, of course he is a pro. I'm enjoying this series with Phil, keep the awesomeness coming.
Another great video, Alex !! Those trails looked really fun with all of the variety of jump lines. I bet you learn allot just from riding with Phil and seeing the lines and decisions he makes on the fly (sometimes literally). Great group of people to ride with too, it looked like a blast. Phil, Hailey and yourself seem very down to earth and laid back. Ride on !

Man you ripped those trails. Riding with Phil you can defo see you have started riding more aggressive and hitting the better lines, riding with a more experienced hucker has brought it out of you.

Great ride again! Always fun to watch Phil ride. I'll bet it's really hard to get follow cam of him cuz he's so damn fast. His DH pov footage makes my palms sweat and my teeth hurt! Scary fast!!
hahaha I tell him the same thing! It's hard to know just how crazy good he is just from his POV stuff. Watching the 3rd person you can see all the cool jibbs he does

I was right there at that spot in Burlington where those musicians were playing. I lived in Burlington for a week when I was touring on the road with a band. Love Burlington. Great riding guyz, love the trails...

I drove the truck, did sound, fixed gear, did the lighting and all the setup. I use to go down by the water to look for Champ. Took videos, walked around the town, loved it. We played at a Holiday Inn in Burlington. I could see the Green Mountains from my room. I have worked with White Zombie, Molly Hatchet, 40 Below Summer, Bile, Pile of Heads, The Outlaws, XYZ, The Rods and tons of other local bands for over 50 years.
Unreal. I ride this trail 2-3 times a week and seeing Phil get soooo much air on some of those little kickers is jaw dropping.

So how 'bout a bike question: I'm looking to upgrade my bike (a Haro Escape hardtail I got through Craigslist), and I only got enough resources and times for one bike, so, assuming I go used again, do I look for an older FS, or a newer, likely better spec'd, HT? Any recommendations?

If you ever go back to Cady, make sure to ride Zogs and Schweenhaus. Those are my two favorite trails there! You can also connect to Adam's camp and do a 35 (or more) mile epic ride up into the mountains.
We touched on Zogs and liked it!

I've been to Stowe many times and always have wanted to hit this trail, but I live in CO now.
The van life really does have it's appeal to me. I think I'd like that over a camper because I could still drive it all the time.

You guys got out too late. I was up to Cady in the am, then had work at 1pm, with a quick Alchemist stop on the way. Flo(rence) is a fun trail for sure.

I have the same breathing/drinking problem lol. You start panting and need water, so you try not to drown while drinking. To top it all off I broke out the top row of teeth last year (Oral Surgeon was able to save them, yay!) which makes me worry about how I bite down on the mouth piece too lol.
WE GOT A VAN - just had the best six months of our lives in it! Go get one Alex!
