The clock is ticking. They have 90 minutes with no kids, no responsibilities, no worries. The Dirt Chix started as a group of four women who wanted to ride together but found it impossible to find the time until they demanded it. Now, more many years later, their numbers have grown to over 160 - all by word of mouth. They don’t race to be the fastest, they come together for the camaraderie, a few thrills, some serious laughs, and a taste of the heart that makes this women’s mountain biking group from Kamloops, BC, so strong.
The Dirt Chix: Making Time is a documentary about these women, why they love to ride together, and why it is so important to make the time for yourself.

What an inspiring and heart-warming video. I'm an 81 year old guy and riding through the winter in Saskatoon. Biking has always been a big part of my life, and I appreciate all the sentiments expressed and illustrated in these women's stories. Ride on!

Amazing video and so heartwarming. As a former Kamloopsian (class of 1980 KSSS) Kamloops holds a special place in my heart. To see this wonderful group of gals teaching each other and supporting each other through the pastime of mountain biking is SOOO cool! Well done all of you!

Very inspiring ❤ My wife and I organize and host ebike gravel rides around Stowe VT - for both men and women. Having her lead the rides has encouraged so many women to join us. Most have said they feel safe in our group and inspired that my wife is up front setting the pace on some pretty big rides way out in the country side. I’m a caboose, coaching and encouraging beginners. It’s amazing how much community grows out of our rides.

Great video! I can totally relate. I ride with a group of retirees on Sunday mornings. Our group is only about 15 guys and we only get 4 or 5 of us together most rides. We range from mid 60s to 80 years old. Always look forward our group rides. What great Group you gals have and your trails look awesome. Congrats!

I can say most bike shops being run by guys really miss the mark of the social aspect, and the women involves the guy trying to get his wife involved and the Bikeshop doesn’t want to talk to her about what she would like what she would like to ride and they lose a lot of clients because of that
