imagine being a supersmart scientist, but the prison cell you build for a troglodoid neanderthaler is secured by a single button useable from inside :D
Well this is 1984 when we thought they were complete idiots. However we now know that their intelligence likely rivaled our ow, and in some cases was superior such as in language. Sadly they were to specialized and as the Ice age ended they couldn't adapt quickly enough. They still exist though as we carry a large number of their genes proving that there was a large amount of inter spieces breeding happening.
Ya they didnt think that through very well did they =] I dont know why I expected to see dinosaurs in this movie as a kid. Boy was I pissed off when I realized... NO dinosaurs are in this movie.
He’s not a prisoner
@@lingy74 how is he not a prisoner? they keep putting him back dont they?
The scientist thought the world was overpopulated back in 1984. He would be shocked to see where it is now.
Scientists said the same thing in 1964 too.
As of today, nearly every country including China, has a shrinking population. Japan and Korea are going to lose half their population in the next two decades, Europe and North America are also starting to shrink. It’s even happening in Africa so maybe the earth can take a breather.

They should have sent Charlie to law school. Although our ways would frighten and confuse him, I bet there's one thing he would know: when a client slips and falls in front of a public library, then that man is entitled to no less than $2 million in compensatory damages and $2 million in punitive damages.
SNL
I’m just a cave man. Are there demons in this phone?
I may just be a caveman….R.I.P. Phil Hartman
Good movie, but I always thought they could've gone another way with the ending. Maybe concentrating more on the Neanderthals learning capacity and his adaptability. Not necessarily making him "a star", but famous nonetheless.
What movie is this
@nicolajohnson1887
"Iceman"
You'd probably enjoy Ex Machina then :)
@@nickbell3546 That is a great movie.
"They don't want the neanderthal to become a celebrity" same, girl. same.
Brendan Fraser looks different than I remember
😄
Was gonna say. This isn't encino man
Yeah for a moment I thought this video was going to be about Encino Man lol
It's the teeth.
And then he became a spokesman for GEICO !
This movie made me sad as a kid 😢
It is sad.
Same here
Same here. I can't rewatch it.
it made me sad too... I expected to see Dinosaurs being thawed out next as a kid. Man was I sad when I found out it was just this homeless guy they thawed out. There where no Dinosaurs in the movie.
Made me sad seeing this
Gliding for a few miles in a rather good mood before he meets his end.......LMAO
The narrator is hiding the truth , he knows we can't handle it
History's first skydiver.
@@ohasis8331 not the 1st since hes in the 1980's,but def the oldest lol
@@sawgunn69 Valid point. At least he had a happy ending.

Was that one scientist Mr. Strickland, the teacher from BACK TO THE FUTURE?
He told Charlie he was a slacker!
He jumped & held the skid….but instead of growing lower they go up & reach out a hand?!?!
When you put it like that damn, what was the pilot thinking
Fun fact, this is impossible, organic matter keeps decomposing even if it's frozen, those people that offered themselves to be frozen to be awaken in the future years ago ended up as a weird smelly liquid
So they couldn't wake up? 🤔
they didnt ,but ...ok
The what
Apparently you missed basic science and home economics.
Freezing stops the decay.
@charlesmeaux3954 it prolongs it
i watched that movie a lot as a kid i miss the 80s those were good days...
The moral of the story is don’t talk to strangers.
I mean what did they expect would happen putting an ancient hominid into a cage. Who didn’t think about he’s gonna end up killing someone, then escaping or potentially dying himself.
its just "here is caveman in cage, caveman escape caveman die the end"
It would be interesting to see how this movie would be remade today.
I haven't seen this movie in over 29 years. Made me sad as a kid
what movie is this???
Ice Man (1984)
More 80’s movies please.👍🏿
Like Willow and The Goonies.
Agree, there are so many gems
Boring 😔 I'm a 80s child and the goonies and willow are meant to be left to die and be forgotten about like ya meant to with all garbage movie's!
At first I thought the was ''Avatar: The Last Air Bender''
Always liked Icemant, William was another good one.
been waiting for this one. watched the first part with my uncle when i was like 7 over 15 years ago. Didnt know wtf was going on or how it ended until now.
When Encino Man and The Truman Show have a movie baby!
Magnetic pole changes do not affect anything but new topographic map sales.
The dude didn't die. He works for Geico insurance now..
Silvester Stallone did an amazing job in this movie.
History's first skydiver.
The Truman Show: Neanderthal Edition

I actually went and rented this from Apple TV today after watching the first half of the recap. It was a good movie 🍿
What movie is this
Its a good flick. Sad, but good. The ending..........
Name of movie??
Is there some reason you can't say the name of the movie?
It's literally written in the first minute of the video...
@@jayman94flythey mean SAY as in as part of the narration. Keep up.
@ 3 seconds into the video it is written at the bottom bud.
Ice Man from 1984
Encino man
After 40k years hesl still got a good memory
These dudes must have got high and forgot they watched encino man 😂😂
It might help to mention if the story has any major subplots and how well they tie into the main narrative.
i will tell my kids this was Asmongold
I couldn’t imagine living in those times
They found the neanderthal’s tools and red hat too.
Anyone else remember the SG1 episode that starts like this?
Good movie, but such a tragic ending!🍿🎥😭
The sad reality that they definitely WOULD treat a human being like an animal. :(
The neanderthal reminds me of bob balooga looga looga from big man on campus.
I loved it when it came out but now all I can think of is Geico 😂
I remember this movie “Heart of Gold was sung!
"Ice Man" great movie
They didn't want him to be a star, but he was going to show them all that saving 15% on your car insurance was easy.
What's the name of the movie please
The row of the caveman was played by Chinese American actor John Lone
ts summary was actually kinda fire
Why is a needle censored, RUclips????
What is the movie name?!
Imagine if the Neanderthal was played by a black guy
Wouldn't make much sense since literally everyone except the blacks have part of neanderthal DNA.
Makes no sense.
Wakeup after 40k years just to put him back to sleep
I loved this movie as a kid.........
Please do movie recap on sonic part 3 😢
One of the favourites🌟
He sleeps for 40000 years wakes up and 20 seconds later they put him back to sleep! Hahahahahaha!
Very sad movie. Hard to rewatch.
what's the name of the movie?
@Crowski Iceman. 1984 movie
Return him to the golden throne!
Thank you for blaring out the needle because I’m afraid of needles
Sounds like something that could be cured with exposure therapy. Unfortunately we need to use needles sometimes for health
@@kelsey2333 exactly these people trying to get the general populace to take into consideration EVERY SINGLE LITTLE NONCONSEQUENTIAL ISSUE is ridiculous.
thank god u not afraid of antibiotics or other more important things in human medicine
Future Geico mascot
I love this story i and want to watch this movie
I hate it when plots require Neanderthal-level stupidity from humans…. 🙄
Plot twist: it's even worse when comments with the same level of that show up on youtube, like yours. Imagine...
Our ancestors were just as smart or probably smarter than we currently are. Just because they don't know how to mindlessly yap on social media doesn't mean they were stupid. Technology has crippled the average person's ability to think constructively.
@@kontonamewhy did this comment trigger you so bad? Sounds like a time for some self reflection. 😂
the ending was kinda dumb though 😅
Kinda?

Can you please 🥺 teach me on how i can make recaps videos.🎉
Why 'blurred'.
was that the movie " Ice Man " ?
Ya
This channel does a good job giving a summary of old movies, but rarely gives the title to those movies. Does anyone know why?
The title is in the beginning
Never knew about this movie apparently its 40 years old too
Big deal. We've all seen FJB and the last time that scarecrow had an unplagerized thought was when he came up with a sure fire way to get out of the Vietnam War.
That this was the The Thing at first
Dang this just came out
Brought him back to do Geico ads
Such a waste to let him get away and dying.
Is that Richard Branson?😂
What's the movie's name
Iceman
Noice. Get unfrozen after thousands of years and the first chick you meet turns out to be dating some science nerd. Gets me in the feels.
The whole thing seems terrible. And sad.
Worst. Helicopter pilot. Ever. The FAA is sure to have his license after so many accidents on his record.
Idk if this movie is sad or if it’s just the song in the background
so the pilot was like, let me get a ton of altitude? Glad I never watched this movie, looks horrible.
One of my favorites ❤
Wait, freeze people to give them immortality? Yeah, I guess they would be immortal.....but not living.......
I saw this as a young child.
My favorite part of that movie was when he brings Charlie to a local store. The clerk is of native heritage. He understands about half of Charlie's words. He didn't know Charlie's back story, so he said (words to the effect) that your friend here is wacko. The scene isn't in this recap, so don't look for it.
So this is where that south park episode came from
45 👍 's up MR thank you for sharing 🤗
Was sure he would look like Ben Stiller
Finds out the Neanderthal's name is "Aru". Immediately Anglicizes it to "Charlie" to make himself feel more comfortable. What an ass.
i love this movie
He wasn't an ice man. He was just another cousin passed out and frozen on the side of the road out behind the bingo hall.
As a First Nation's Canadian, I agree.
Why does Charlie look like Robert Pattison? 😂
i bet he's stronger than captain america😅
Charlie just wanted to be with his family
That was a crappy end, I wanted to see if he'll become an apple or android fan
Holy shit, I thought this movie was a plfever dream of mine, never knew the name for almost 20 years
