Do you recommend setting your height to a high setting? Does this make any difference to the range. I’ve just bought the exact same drone and after 500 metres it goes out of range. Not as built up area as your video either
Impressive range. I’m assuming you were able to make it back, due to the curved path you took to avoid the restricted area. I fly the Mini SE and I’m thinking about getting a Mini 2 SE. I get decent range, and I fly mine in a mostly rural area with few obstructions and little interference. But what I’m getting is about 2.5 miles tops, and that’s really stretching it. That’s being mindful of the wind, conservative on my speed, etc. So, does the Mini 2 SE use the same batteries as the Mini SE? Does it have upgraded motors?
I have the same drone iv had it for about a week and can only get it to go 1500 ft before the video starts lagging and I get 2-3 yellow bars on RC signal range. I live in a woodsy area with tall trees and hills, so could that be causing such low signal range? Is my drone defective? I feel like that's very low distance regardless. Any feedback is appreciated
You need to test the drone with clear line of sight. Trees, buildings and other obstacles if they are at or very close to the path (imagine it as a straight line) that connects your controller and your drone attenuate the signal a lot.
Wow, you can get it to go that far? I'm in a rural area of Tennessee and I'm getting image breakup and lag starting at 300 feet, straight line of sight and nothing in the way. I'm on a high, clear hill and I had it fly straight out and up without it leaving my line of sight. The farthest I got it was less than 800 feet, straight line of sight, before the image completely froze. The video didn't come back till I had it turn itself 180 degrees and I was able to bring it back home manually. I'm afraid to go beyond a few hundred feet now. The advertised distance is over 30000 feet. I don't need it go far, but it would be nice if it would go more than 3 percent of the advertised range.
What if you had used Sport mode on the way there and back? Would you have gotten more distance or would battery usage be more depending on the speed you go?
Sport mode is less efficient. Don't use it for range testing. Just tilt the gimbal 10 degrees down and use Normal mode. If you won't tilt the gimbal it'll cruise like a Mavic Mini at 8 meters per second.
Lo debes de configurar antes de volar y le pones distancia máxima y altura máxima y pues el regreso al POR ya depende de la altura de los obstáculos donde está volando , el mío me llegó a 2. 500 mts de distancia y perdió la señal pero de inmediato sin tocarle nada se activa el regreso a casa. Me, too. I'm returning it. I would have been very happy to get 1-2km, but I can't get it beyond 800 feet. I get video artifacts occasionally when it's even within 100 feet. It's very cool, otherwise. I'm not going to say it's false advertising, as mine may just be a defective unit.
I was wondering the same thing. My mini 2 SE gets artifacts randomly even when less than 100 feet. I'm in a rural area. I get stutter, chop, lag, freeze when it's only 300 feet away with straight line of sight. I got about 800 feet away & the picture froze totally and I had to turn it around to get the picture to come back. If I could get it to a couple thousand feet, I'd be very happy with it. It's awesome if I don't go very far, though. It takes great pictures and video on the SD card. Given all the "incredible range" talk I've seen about it, I'm guessing I just got a lemon.
@@t-unlimited I did get about 3 miles out but I was on top of a massive hill but the signal was very choppy hey ho it’s not really what you used drones for anyways just fun to see the range, I get perfect cinematic videos so it’s not really a massive downside for me

The speed on the Mini 2 SE is faster, and the battery is the same as the dji mini 2 and se!

In perfect conditions, no interference,no wind,you'll get 8km. 10km is insanity
