FILM DESCRIPTION:
In this final chapter, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) obtains a 70-year-old message from the time-traveling Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd), in which he informs Marty that he has retired to a small town in the Old West. Marty then finds out that the Doc was murdered shortly after sending the letter. In order to save his friend, Marty will have to travel back in time, disentangle a lovestruck Doc from a local schoolmarm, and repair the DeLorean -- all while avoiding a posse of gunslingers.

RIP Engine 131. Died a hero's death in getting Marty back to the future.
Definitely a time where movies used practically every bit of available effort to make a movie astonishingly gorgeous and realistic. Yes there were times where old movies used greenscreens and animation, but in the most necessary way possible like the hover board in this movie. Most movies nowadays just use lazy CGI or cheap prop models for scenes like this with little effort involved.
Aka the 80s
fee foo You're right it's not lazy, it's effortless compared to real life effects. Besides 90% of movies don't even manage to pull off the cgi correctly and most movies make certain things look rushed or low quality
Old movies were great at ms,img final scenes dramatic , something lost in new Hollywood , sure there’s dramatic scenes near the end but I think it’s Score that dosent elevate movies anymore
Welcome to the Millenium and gen Z
as much as I want to pick on you for a " now get back in those days" sort of comment, you're absolutely right. And somehow, even with all that money they save, they still end up with flops. curious isn't it?
I always like that moment of time travel, where DeLorean left fire traces at the railroad tracks.
Basically the best technology ever created and the most powerful technology since the Atomic/ Nuclear bomb.
Too bad the Dolorean hadn't arrived in 1985 just about five minutes later because then it would not have been destroyed by the train and someone could have helped Marty get the car off of the tracks before more trains came down the track.
2:18 Just one word: *EPIC*
I'm 35 yrs old that scene still gives me chills
That train is a hell of a render for 1990 (it isn't rendered in this scene)
Pretty sure that overhead shot is a miniature too 🚂
⚡️🚗🚂
Love the scene of the Delorean travelling through time one final time, I don’t know why
I didn't like the delorean destruction i would prefer if they keep it
@@tamilangaming7844 it’s technically not gone, it’s a time machine. And it’s still around as we know form the telltale game, which is as close as we’re ever gonna get to BTTF Part 4
@@TheTTTEFan yes i loved teltale games according to me it's canon. ( everything makes sense ). And the delorean is back in the game ( even at the end 🤗🤗)
It's the most powerful time jump it ever made
When the red log blew the train @ 0:40 min mark I love how Doc didn't care about his well-being, he just immediately focus on Clara safety
To
Just something to focus on: after Doc catches Clara he floats AHEAD of the train before veering off. That means that hoverboard is going well over 85 mph, probably closer to 90.
PRACTICAL EFFECTS BEFORE CGI
That's my motto
My favorite example of this is Stargate. The gate opening sequence was done with completely practical effects, using water.
oh man love stargate@@wizardman8832
This scene is beautiful in multiple ways: of course you have the practical effects (with a tiny bit of cgi in the explosion but lets ignore that), the way past present and future come together: 1985 delorean time machine being powered by a 2015 mr fusion (also the hoverboard came from 2015) being pushed by a 1885 locomotive and having time circuit control tubes from 1955 send it back to a few days after it was completed. And then you have the music, going from suspenseful to danger to happy (clara gets saved) and then back to suspense as marty is reminded he is about to crash if he doesn't close the door and time travel. And finally the effects around the car: it just feels satisfying to see this gigantic train with steam surrounding the wheels push the delorean as the time machine parts come to life with sparks and flashing lights to get the car part of this convoy going back to the future. This will always stay my favourite scene from this trilogy.
IIRC, that wasn't CGI, that was an actual model train, packed with fireworks.
@@tyvulpintaur2732 There is a very slight amount of cgi added, just watch the raw explosion in the documentary
Funnily enough, trying to repeat this in GTA Online ended up the same way. One wrecked flying car.
these movies never get old
They were ahead of their time.
@@hector5851 Literally
I grew up just a short distance from where this whole sequence was filmed.
This was one of the best and my favorite movies and this is my favorite scene
this scene is very iconic
Fun Fact: The Train in this Scene is Based on the Sierra Railway #3 Locomotive from the American Railways
It’s what they used for 131
In every movie I seen everyone gets love , in reality nobody does 😆 its strange Fantasy people have
poor loco
Mary Steenburgen also starred in another time travel movie, 'Time After Time'.
Great movie
2:58 I'm sure Doc was thinking "well it looks like I'm stuck here forever...unless I can build another time machine"
Happy 33rd Anniversary "BACK TO THE FUTURE 3" (MAY 25, 1990)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome
did you feed the Locomotive green, yellow and red Presto logs to make the train faster
00:33 So close yet so far!

One final explosion before death
Robert Zemeckis was amazing
Was? Still amazing
@@taajwarpope2708 not with Pinocchio
@@Zombiesnyder13 and polar express
reporters: So you?...
Zemeckis and Gale: Yes! We screwed up the train
Marty and Do are such a dynamic duo
Part of me wishes that Doc got in the DeLorean with Marty.

Bttf my favorite time travel trilogy
I love that movie
I am too👍👏😀🤗
2:31 😮😮😮⚡️⚡️
The film trilogy makes me think of the song In the Year 2525.
Anybody notice that when the train rolls off the tracks, the wood holding the tires to the cowcatcher is gone.
0:42 *ZZZZZZ* WHOOOOAAA!!!!
So the wheels just have to move and not the engine? With that kind of logic you can throw it off a cliff and go back in time.
But then you’d be crash landing upon arrival…
@@VideoAmericanStyle Yeah that's true but then there's this one: you'd just travel into space most likely, because of the earth's orbit.

Oh my god. It's incredible that she didn't hit the back of her head after the explosion.
2:28 OCT 27 1985
This must be tooking during or after the first transcontinental railroad was build
This scene took place on September 7, 1885, so it was over a decade after the first transcontinental railroad was built.
@@Tubewings that sounds like I was right thx

How does the train move by its self?

Talk between the Doc and Clara after Marty left must have been hilarious.
“Did we ever make it Around the World in Eighty Days?”
“We can do it 1.”
“Golly.
Lesson: do not attempt it, because it is very dangerous.
And that's the way things happen on the polar express

Not to be cruel, but I sometimes think that if Doc hadn't saved Clara this time, they could have let her plunge into the ravine with the train and they would have set history back to normal with it being called "Clayton Ravine" again.
But Doc wouldn't do that. The man's not cruel

Jesus is coming soon, Romans 10:9
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved
Funny that Christians have been saying that for over 2,000 years, and still nothing....
