No, they should ban it completely. Anyone that plays on steam is a cheater. Steam gives you a 3x speed boost... It literally gives you auto branch, I would know since I use auto branch all the time. (⚠⚠⚠JOKING⚠⚠⚠)
@@mindblown1In my opinion don’t ban it because it’ll help new players and it might have an unfair advantage but you see steam users rarely if you look at steam charts there’s not a lot of people plus steam is the reason why most people is popular because of the camera mod and other mods too
@@mindblown1 I use steam vr my acc got false banned for cheating bc of little kids and I’ve never cheated before and it was a 4 week ban and I’m still banned.
@@Crowmonke Yeah I've been false banned before too best thing to do is either appeal or wait it out (also I was joking about how they should ban it completely) Also if ban appeal doesn't work chances are you actually were breaking the rules in some way (I was recently banned for toxicity for 2 weeks and my ban appeal was rejected but I still don't really know why, I mean I know it's for toxicity but I still can't remember being toxic before that ban but since it was rejected, I probably was being toxic? idk lol)

Ima give yall an explanation on how airlink/vd is banned (in the comp scene) compared to playing on a rift s, valve index, or vive.
airlink makes your arms move faster and you are stickier same with vd (virtual desktop)
rift s, valve, and vive do not have this effect on steam bc they are meant to be played on steam so they will have the same tracking as quest. The main thing that people don't know about steam headsets is that they are basically the same as playing on a standalone quest besides maybe having more FOV and the base stations and controllers
the one headset that breaks these rules is pico
playing on airlink/vd gives you an INSANE boost on how fast you can move your arms. Thats why its banned because it basically gives you a unity type speed boost.

i feel like if steam was banned from comp, comp wouldnt have as much players bc so much play steam like snowy hypergt vain etc and there are not as much players (standalone) play comp only common ones that are known are tttpig/and dawn and tsolevi

Quest link leads to players like h4kpy who comletely abuse it and also use override world scale. So yes, we should only allow steamVR headsets with Ethernet.

I think the only steam headset that should be banned is the rift s but also maybe not for all the people that can’t afford an oculus. The rift s gives a much bigger advantage though due to how laggy it is

Steam should not be banned because a bunch of finger painters use steam even i use steam and steam was the first platform to have accessto gtag but in comp it probably should be banned because if you don't have mods it's fine
I just personally think should be completely banned from comp, there are some mod menus that are undetected,plus, u cant really tell if the steam user is using world scale, so steam maybe should be banned from comp *BUT* not from normal lobbies.

As long as you have a good pc steam on quest won’t be much different then the valve index in terms of gameplay however will just be in quality,tracking and other stuff that dosent relate to changing your gameplay

It's like having a track race with 21year olds(Pc headsets), and having a 13 year old show up(Quest headsets) The 21year olds will obviously run better, run faster, and have full access to what's given to them.
@@smellyjxlio bro i recently switched to quest3 after my index failed and theres barely a difference, its just lower hz doesnt effect steam in the same way, you stay bouncy but still are sticky to walls, barely an advantage lol
