Just switched from a 2020 300 tpi to a 2020 sherco se 300 factory and love it. Kyb valving feels all around better than the WP. Linkage handles better than the pds 3rd gear and up. Tpi motor was nice predictable and smooth but felt boring and the power felt almost artificial like, compared to the sherco motor which feels more alive and more fun to rip. Great content love the channel!
6 months ago bought a Sherco se300 factory, I’m converted! The thing is a beast, so much range, so versatile, tractoring it or reving it to the moon it does it all
Nice video and exactly why I chose the Sherco 300 factory! Sucks to spend that much on a KTM then have to spend even more on suspension to get it where you want it. I’m also a carb guy just never liked the way the TPI felt/responded personally.
I ride at 1000 ft elevation to 11,500 ft elevation...assuming there is a Lectron or Smartcarb option for the Sherco? Or perhaps some of the experts out there can jet a Kehin to handle that without constant re-jetting?
Do it, just switched to Yamaha with KYB after 25 years of KTM. 😱 Omg wow best out the box bike I've ever owned. Yamaha WR450F 2021. Epic! New Zealand Spec, full power with power tuner.
@Inside Enduro thanks buddy! I'm just trying to live the dream and follow all you enduro guys! I've put a few videos up on my channel @1armenduro if you'd like to know more...... they're nothing special, I'm not breaking any records but you'll see how it all works... Karl 💪
Thanks for this videos. It helped me out deciding for a 2022 Sherco 300 2stroke. My last bikes were a 2014 KTM EXC, a 2016 Husky TE300; big improvement. After asking, watching vieos like this (well documented) I decided to go for the Sherco. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Really fantastic.
$10800 is a steal. That Sherco is over 14K out the door here in Canada. I'd still factor in $1000 for a SmartCarb on the Sherco to get it on an even playing field with the KTM. Not necessary for everyone but for the long mountain rides it's a big advantage.
Good to know, how did you like the power with the Smartie and what kind of mileage are you hitting? Seen some of your videos, Good Work! We may need to take a trip out your way ☝🏼🤔
@@InsideEnduro Had the SC2 on my 2017 250xc, it had great low end grunt and no flat spots throughout the rpm's. In contrast the Lectron robbed some of the low end power. Mileage on both carbs was probably 30% better than the stock Mikuni, could go well over 100km with big elevation changes on a tank of fuel.
12:20 Boom - The biggest reason to switch right there. Some riders won't even require a revalve to be able to race, makes a mockery of the Ready To Race team Orange slogan! Until they try something else, owners won't understand.
Fellow 550 brother! In 1992 I bought a new DXC 550 DXC. After some carb mods it became my farm implement-trench digging roost monster for Indiana woods racing. Nothing could outrun that bike in an open plowed field, OMG! Held on to that bike for 5 years before. My next KTM. Have been KTM since 1992, came off a Husky before that. People think a 500. 2 stroke is a monster, never rode a 550
I have a ‘92 KTM DXC 550 very rare bike now a days also have a ‘96 MXC 550. Monster bikes. Looking into a new 300 but don’t like KTM’s tpi might get the all new tbi or possibly even try a different color! These Sherco’s don’t seem bad, I’d love to test one out! Cheers
After 23y on a KTM and learning from them.. I got a Sherco after doing the math 8m ago. Its been a great experience, the bike rides awesome, it turns awesome and it follows the terrain as it should, def. needs some refinement but it reminds me the beginnings of KTM after 1995. Sherco its a great product, minor things needs to be done but we all have different needs, pilot weight, riding environment and experience, you’ll be amazed the capability of this bike. My recommendation: you Guys at KTM, dont be over confident of your product and monopoly, there’s people out there interested to do things right. Ride safe, cheers.
@@InsideEnduro awesome video.,, people is flipping around the world just showing the screw at the crank.. will be awesome showing more videos about How Sherco approach things and why.. educating the consumer is a priority other brans has shown and proven right. You got the attention...! Looking forward to see more products from IE. Best luck.. Will be watching
@@ryananderson6321 sure, First you have to understand that its a bike build by a engineer and then they call his buddy Francois to work on the sexy look. Things to improve: 1.- You’ll notice that plastics don’t align as perfect as KTM and takes time to understand why and how to do the best. 2-. I still believe that you need to keep an eye on the clutch, since it needs a better flow of oil and probably better disc, if they get to warm you’ll notice some fading on the modulation. This is the reason why a manual Rekluse is a great choice (I don’t see the need of a auto clutch this bike has great lows) 3-. Do we really need 2 oil dump screws?.. they really want clean oil inside the case and getting oil back in is not a awesome. 4-. They come really fat on fuel, some people likes playing with the carb but the smart carb does “awesome”. 5-. A little of a diet is not bad bud it doesn’t feel heavy after youre on it. 6-. As usual its a little dry on grease on all moving parts… but a lot better than KTM. 7-. Accessing the battery is not easy and getting the air filter in and out you need to work on a twist.. 90• will do the trick. 8-. Keep an eye on what works for you on premix, some people do their own numbers but the range of 2% its close (on the owners book). To me 1.5% to 1.7% works better but it all depends where and how you ride. 9-. Its a little tall, even on the 106mm on sag.. Ive been thinking on trimming 1/2 inch on the seat foam (Im 5’8”). Nothing mayor… You’ll luv this eng., suspension, breaks.. and how the bike reacts on single trail. Being so close to 2022 I”ll wait to see what brings… .. 2021 vibration is good.. KTM feels almost electric.
@@carloskulka3781 amazing Carlos, thank you for that insiteful writeup. My buddy has had one for a few months and I think he's really happy with the smart carb mod. Definitely considering selling my 16 350sxf and move over to a bike like this for the offroad riding
I had a 2001 KTM 520sx, that I just abused for 5 years, I got the suspension done right away, I'm 6'1" 220 (at the time) so riding on motocross tracks it was required. After that suspension upgrade, I never disliked the PDS. I rode some other bikes on the track and just found I liked mine better, probably cause of what I was used to. After we had kids, I quit riding for a while, a friend died out in the desert and it took the steam out of my system. From what people tell me, that I respect, the PDS has come a long ways in those 20 years too, but again, I liked mine, where we'd be going through rocks at Millican and I just didn't care, where others were stressed. In Havasu in the desert, it was a whoop monster, which I loved.
Johnny Walker is now Team Beta and he loves his. Just saw that! At 60 I'm not a hard Enduro candidate but own 4 of them ( Beta) 2001 rev3, 18' 300 and Evo, and a 19 200 RR. Waiting for the 480 factory to be brought in cause' I'm missing a big thumper! Previously had an 03' MXC 525 and got addicted to massive grunt so wanting something to explore the ( slightly) less hardcore with. Amazingly the Rev 3 is an absolute blast on the trails. Plenty of power ( 270cc) for the high country in Colorado but won't scare the crap out of you if the throttle gets a mind of its own! Got a Smartcarb for the 200 that I'll be trying out as soon as the weather in Colorado gives an opportunity. Supposed to be the cat's meow. Issue with getting the stock Kehin dialled in, even with the JD kit, that's been a little frustrating, but the 200 is really fun!
Hey mate, I’ve had KTM’s & loved em too. But I loved the look of the Sherco as soon as I saw it. Changed the jetting, put some protection on on it, fiddled with the clickers. Today I did it’s 100hr oil change (done every 10) love every time I ride it. Enjoyed your vid 👍🏼
After 10 years riding orange and white ktm 300s and spending shitloads of $$ to fix wp suspension I was stoked on my 22 sherco 300 se factory. They nailed the parts build list and I love that the map switch actually does something. Thanks for sharing the drain bolt trick. Smartcarb or lectron for the guys that don't want to re-jet but want the simplicity/reliability. Great video for any of you guys contemplating the switch, the stock suspension alone was worth it and the rest of the parts just sweetened the deal.
I’ve had 25 KTMs ( 18 were 300 and I also had a 550 And I also took a 300 swimming ) My question is this. Of the 2 bikes which one would fit a 6 foot tall person the best ? I recently purchased my first Beta 300 and it fits me just fine. Now I do run the tall woods bars ( I’m in the southeastern part of the country) and a GPR stabilizer that raises the bars another half an inch and I also use a tall seat ( and also re-sprung for my 210 pounds and a Recluse CX ) but that’s just to make it personalized for myself.
Sounds like you got it dialed 👌🏼! Cody Webb is probably @6’3” and it cracking along quite well. Some of the taller guys will raise the bars a small amount and also pegs that are 5mm lower and 5mm back open up the cockpit for taller guys a bit
@@InsideEnduro thank you. And I also think the TPI system is about 80% there. But for what it cost it needs to be in the 98 % range of perfection. That’s why I was a little more interested in the Beta.
New subscriber here. I just bought a Sherco for similar reasons. More exotic and the underdog next to the KTM. I love both bikes but saw the extra value in the Sherco. You have an interesting presentation style, refreshing to see someone say what they really think. 🤘😁🤘
Yep I have a 2020 SE250Factory. Love it. Saw the KTM vs Sherco 2t on showroom floor and no brainer. Was kinda wanting TPI and a bit leery, but I KNOW carb and how to work them.I went for simple and since I love the KYB on the Yamaha it made up my mind and I have no regrets. Love the KYB I am 170 with gear on and the Sherco seems spot on for that weight. I have a EFI 2017 Yamaha 4T Wr250F with the KYB setup and never had trouble but If I did I may not know what to do! It has been a very fun and dependable bike.
I actualy went to dealer yesterday and was shocked how cheap new GasGas looks compare to Sherco, even red powdercoat on frame was worst then my local guy did on my 88 KTM frame...Sherco has better finish than ktm group. Bought mine just after seeing one in real first time...
Makes us nervous too. Knock on wood in the few thousand hours our crew has been riding Sherco we have had zero need for a kickstarter. We do recommend installing a secondary starter button.
@@InsideEnduro Thanks for the response, on Kauai, we are never more than 5-10 miles from the truck but those are some gnarly miles! Wouldn't want to push/pull, haha.
Great to get a trade opinion that isn't biased to one particular manufacturer or another (for whatever reason). Don't be a sheep, don't be afraid to go against the crowd!
Nice! You're telling me there is a drain plug for the crank case?! That's good to know, for all those poor saps that can't get non ethanol premium at the pump. It's my understanding that ethanol is hydrophilic. And water on your crank bearing is bad, of you weren't aware.
Good Question! A wise suspension tuner once told me that a correctly valved OEM suspension can outperform the most expensive incorrectly valved system. I have experienced this myself unfortunately. The Trax set up correctly can be really awesome, same with a correctly valved explorer. Question may come down to if it’s worth the MOO-LA $ for that little extra bit of awesome..... Now that is personal and a tough one to answer.... 🔥✊🏼
Good humor-glad there's still carb bike's out there. Rode a friends Husky 300TPI 2yrs. ago and it felt like a clapped out WR250. Maybe its better now, but still not sold. Wish Sherco had a XC version as I went from w to xc last summer and had instant chub
I weigh the same as you and went with .48kg springs for hard enduro, the KYB have been working well at speed so, have not found the bottom of them yet 😬
Great analysis but why didn’t you mention the Precision damper on the KTM. I just started running them after switching from Scott’s. Won’t go without it again
We missed a few parts (damper, rotor guards, etc) but we will be sure to talk about it in a later video. This bike is so decked out we could go on about it for hours! That damper is amazing with the stabilization, highly recommended!
Great point, I think we didn’t want to go down the damper rabbit hole on this one and didn’t mention to keep video time on point. I really like the Precision Racing product so much smaller and doesn’t raise bar height and your chest will never be imprinted with your damper logo. We will try and hit it later - Thanks for tuning in!🔥✊🏼
hello, Beta RR 300 or Sherco se factory 300, which is more powerful, more aggressive, more brutal, more reliable, faster in the forest on difficult trails and difficult climbs thanks to the people who will answer me! 🤝🏻
@@InsideEnduro from what I've heard, beta rr 300 2018 is a significant upgrade compared to the previous models 2017, 2016, 2015 you can give me your strict opinion, thank you very much!
Much fairer this time after my 6days comment on the previous vid. Shercos are amazing bikes but will stick with my ktm... Cool vid and thanks for your effort ...
Hi! This is Rosemary with Inside Enduro. I asked James about what clutch he would recommend (sorry it took so long...he just got back from Europe) and he recommended the Sherco Factory Diaphragm Clutch. Because there are a few different versions, I didn't list part numbers. I would either recommend contacting your preferred Sherco dealership and have them order the correct parts, or contact Sherco/Factory 1 directly.
I had heard rumors on clutch durability, but I have not had an issue myself or even anyone I’ve been around. I know Cody Webb was trying some options, but as you know those guys but an enormous amount of energy into the system. I had never burned out a Ktm clutch either, maybe I’m reasonably easy on them... I would just run them as usual and if there was an issue we have pro level replacement plates and discs....
I have heard a lot of people say the Sherco feels cramped for taller riders. I’m not sure how tall you are, but wondering what your thoughts are for a 6’4 rider in the sherco, and what mods you would recommend for taller people if it is “cramped?”
Just curious what type of riding you do? Hard enduro or desert? And for those who weigh over 180 because let's be real most of us who buy these bikes aren't skinny young cats anymore?! Does the exhaust have spark arrestor? And since the comparison is between the XCW and SER, how does the XC compare?
My kind of interview on point with everything love the humor. What EXACTLY is your jetting set up. Trying to avoid the 800 smart carb although Kirk and his crew have hands down the best customer service in the industry period!!
Really liked the video. Seriously considered the Shirco Factory, but ended up with 2021 TE 250i. No regrets. Just wondering if you plan to test the WP 6500 pro cartridge as a cheaper alternative to cone valve setup? I'd be curious to see how they stack up Shirco valving in the KYB, which I herd was amazing.
Good Vid. I just lick the bell of your channel. I switch to Sherco 250 factory from TE300 / EXC300 tpi because of the price and the parts come with it just like you said. The KYB is awesome, I did the air screw mod on the tpi to play with the air fuel mixture but wont invest tbe get race kit. Sherco is a smaller bike that need to raise the bar and a lower foot peg (i am 6 feet).
Hey Man, Thanks for the Lick! You are right - raising the bars/bend and dropping foot pegs can open up the cockpit for taller riders. Did you leave the forks in the factory position or drop them?
Really struggling on what to buy, wether a sherco 300 or a tpi..but i think i am more and more interested in a sherco. Coming from my current 2011 husaberg 250 2 stroke it should be eye-opening and its about time for a new bike. you helped me out quite a bit, greetings from Austria and earned yourself a new subscriber!
A fine, humble and nice guy Cody Webb rode and won for KTM. He gets hurt and in short order they dump him. Big mistake. Sherco picks him up and it’s been the best thing for both. Just for that reason alone, I’d never give money to KTM.
@@Mesader Well, if you get hurt on the job, I guess you’ll be fine with being replaced before you’re mended. That’s a real nice Harley SX 250 ya got there Lol.
@@InsideEnduro The TSP kit is from Two Stroke Performance. The reflash the ECU and do that to a compression head setting. In other words you can select low compression, medium compression or high compression. With low for hard enduro, medium for most every day type riding and high for motorcross type riding. They have done their homework and really have their shit together. They are also from here in Australia. It really is the best improvements for the TPI next to an actual factory bike.

You nailed it on the pds, there's plus and minus. I'm on a 15 300 xcw and for Hawaii's HD type single track pds is good. Looking at Sherco for my next bike, I'm not sold on tpi, ridden a few and idk, my 15 lugs much better. Things that have hesitant on the Sherco are the electronic pv, no kick start lever apparently a weak clutch. Btw...gas gas has a crank case drain plug...I know because I've used it.
Thank you, gotta go with what works for you. I came off a KTM as my go to because of the TPI. 60+ hours on the Sherco and I have not had an issue with the clutch “not sure where that info came from, but I heard it bouncing around as well” funny how this stuff propagates - I actually bought a Rekluse manual clutch just in case the clutch had an issue - however it is still in the box, any one need one? None of them come with a kick start now, I was edgy at first, but a kick starter hadn’t been the mode of failure on the KTM so I was pretty relaxed with the Sherco. Electronic PV haven’t had issues, just the sickest down low torque I have seen in a long time - keeps on climbing......
Hi, i had one overheating issue with mine but i can assume this was a really really xtreme steep rocky climb. 2 minutes stop and the cluch lever was ok again. Didn't wanna use camel's back water to cool the cluch receiptor but it seems to be the right thing to do. Electric starter is all good. I thought the same without kick starter. But now it's ok, even if I switched Lithium battery for standard cheaper one. Lionel 🇫🇷
MITAS is a brand of tire that comes out of E. Europe, it has dominated 90% of Red Bull Romaniacs Racers, Erzberg, and most International Hard Enduros for years. It has limited availability in the US, but you can find them. Michelin (enduro extreme) Metzler (6days extreme) have made big moves to take market share on the international scene, they are both bad ass tires as well - Good Times 🔥✊🏼
excellent comparison, ktm as good as it is became just way too expensive to regular dude. Everything is extra there. Love both anyway :) Wish sherco had ktm quality plastics though.
I argue that the linkage on any off-road enduro bike like the KTM-250,300xc-w is just like some kind of afterbirth to bang onto rocks, roots and even tree stumps?! Not fun at all as you'll take too much time to get back on track! I have a 2011 KTM-300xc the last year Katoom used the PDS on a great running & handling KTM-300xc! I guess my next KTM-300 will be a 300xc w TPI.
I'd rather not go tpi or fi on my next purchase and that's why Sherco is on my short list. But....so is the TM. Have you ridden a TM? I'd like to see you do a comparison between the Sherco and the TM carb 300. I think the two bike have a lot of similarities. Tks...and great channel🤙
@Dave Nawahine i've heard some glowing reviews on the TM's. they're all hand made as well and come in carb or tpi as an option. there an Australian video review on here somewhere and the guy said he'd ridden one for 70 hours without a single issue. you're lucky to go 7 minutes without a ktm having a problem.

Hey first how's the part availability on the sherco and also the aftermarket parts. I love the bike it's pretty and seems like it's very NC to drive it but the parts are kinda keeping me away!!!
We have had good luck with the parts. Sherco has new ownership with Factory 1 and is currently exponentially increasing inventory 1mill heading towards 6mill. If you need anything we have pretty good turnaround to drop ship. Long story short we have good supply even with The-Vid!
Worked as a technician for both brands at the respective dealerships.ktm far easier to work on. Sherco still has lots of R&D to do to get the bike easy to work on. For example sherco subframe is held in place with one long bolt and two short ones. The long bolt is prone to snapping. Exhaust mounting hardware uses flimsy mounts and sheer odd just looking at Them. Factory fitted tubes perish before the bike has even been lifted out of the crate. Alignment of the airfilter is a task and very easily fitted incorrectly leading to engine failure. Clutches not as strong as ktm. Aluminum basket compared to the steel dds type in ktm. In south Africa parts is a problem and little to none aftermarket support. The four-strokes are an absolute mess. Exploding just looking at them. 2 strokes much better but still have some bugs to iron out. Ktms tpi was very shit. Seems to be sorted out in the 2020 and 2021 models. Aftermarket for parts is huge. Nicer bike to work on. Same job on sherco takes more time. 2019-2020 had plug fowling issues on sherco. Bike couldn't idle for more than like 2 min without drying. Had to keep spark plugs and wrenches on the startline to make sure the riders got away. Suspension is good but needs a revalve.
We agree with you there, wish more brands would step up and make aftermarket parts.. we are going to try to help with that... yes KTMs are a bit easier to work on. However the new 4 stroke Shercos seem to be pretty damn solid.. we ran the heck out of 450s on snowbikes zero issues. Matt D is riding the sherco 300 4 stroke loves that thing. But yeah, still got work to do, but on the up and up!!
Imo after 2019, the last year ktm used carbs on their 2 strokes, not all of the 250,300 XC models but quite a few of them. I wouldn't personally buy a ktm 2-stroke for close to 10k plus and then still have to spend $1200 to get a $10,000 dollar bike to run as good as a stock 2008 to 2016 300 XC. The best fix for a mikuni carburetor is to put a Lectron or a Smart carb 2 on it. Not a fan of 2-stroke motorcycles at all.
Ever since we have NO options now with KTM"s tpi only 2-strokes?! That has been KTM's biggest mistake making fuel injected only 2-strokes only with no option of a carbureted 250 or 300 XC model since 2019. Does anybody out there have a 2019 ktm-300xc carbureted version for sale? That's all I'll buy until KTM makes their TPI 2-strokes at least 75% better.
The Gas Gas (original gasser not the ktm gasser ) and now the Reiju both have a crankcase drain bolt ,I had a 2008 gasgas 300 had it.Euro genius.Awesome Vid .Share the same views on the once great KTM , but now are overpriced shit boxes

Sherco will be TPI soon just like the KTM. Not to mention Sherco lost Baylor to Gas Gas and won't have an Off-Road team until 2022. There was a reason he switched as well as his brother. Buy what you like.
Been riding KTM in Oz for over 10 years. Got sick of being the RND team for the factory and so this year I’ve just ordered the 2022 Sherco 300 Factory. KTM should start listening before they kill themselves. STOP using your customer base as employees that you don’t pay. Oh and speaking of money, pull your heads out of your arses and drop the now ridiculous prices. Maybe even think about giving us a bash plate again. It is after all a hard enduro machine. Think about it.
@@InsideEnduro Ended up canceling the order on the Sherco due to them not being able to provide a delivery date. Bought the 21 GasGas EC 300 instead and couldn’t be happier. Even though it is made in the same factory and owned by KTM it is a totally different animal due to the linkage rear and here in Australia it was actually $3000 less then the equivalent KTM EXC 300 which I bought my son. Yes I still had to spend money on it but it is the way I want it and set up perfectly. I really hate supporting KTM due to their ignorance towards customers but if other manufacturers can’t get their act together then what do you do.
Great video dude ! Like U i own two enduro's : One 300 exc 2017 kehin carb and one 300 Se r SHERCO. We have the same body shape (not still skinny teenagers but big balls small brain). Both are so différent. For hard enduro in rocky steep climbs, Sherco is more compact. For long rides in the rivers, fork WP of the KTM is more efficient (angle de chasse ?). Thanks for the tip with the right side engine bolt. Usefull (Gas gas did the same if I well remeber). I wanna change my carapax bash plate pipe protection for a Force Accessories one, if someone has any experience with that swipe, please tell me ! See ya. Lionel 🇫🇷
The TPI is ass. Blame emissions and regulations for making KTM do this. Why do you think for the longest time they still kept the 2t carbed? Cause it worked well lol.
My 19 300 tpi runs smooth as butter and being able to run straight fuel is so much more convenient when you group ride with 4 strokes I've ridden carb bikes and they do nothing better I just don't get it
@@beauclose2235 Do you ride or race? Cause for trail riding with 4t strokes it's fine but when you start actually going hard for extended periods of time then real issues arise. Aside from the fact that you can actually flood the bike like a 4t and that it can't even be bump started, rebuilds are no longer $200 cause you got so much more shit to worry about. Most people can't jet worth crap so their bike never runs well and they complain about the bike. If you rode my 300 6 Days (carbed) you'd want it, everyone does lol. Convenience is the only selling point for TPI and sadly most people choose that over performance 😕

Awesome!!! Glad your enjoying the Sherco!
@@PNWEnduro Excellent, More Miles = More SMILES!
Ive seen it in Vernon for 12 500 I think.
Your right with the SC2 it would be killer.

Until they try something else, owners won't understand.
100% agree sir. 👍
Great comments! Thanks for reaching out. Keep on Rippin’ 🔥✊🏼!

When you say needs some refinement, are there things in particular that come to mind? Thanks
@@ryananderson6321 sure,
First you have to understand that its a bike build by a engineer and then they call his buddy Francois to work on the sexy look.
Things to improve:
1.- You’ll notice that plastics don’t align as perfect as KTM and takes time to understand why and how to do the best.
2-. I still believe that you need to keep an eye on the clutch, since it needs a better flow of oil and probably better disc, if they get to warm you’ll notice some fading on the modulation. This is the reason why a manual Rekluse is a great choice (I don’t see the need of a auto clutch this bike has great lows)
Nothing mayor…
You’ll luv this eng., suspension, breaks.. and how the bike reacts on single trail.
Being so close to 2022 I”ll wait to see what brings…
Those are killer bikes.
After years and year of a Ktm a friend let me ride his Beta 300 and I got one the next week with a smart carb and I’ll never go back

Johnny Walker is now Team Beta and he loves his. Just saw that!

Heck yeah that’s awesome to hear! These Sherco are goooooood!
Loving your videos guys, great editing and banter, you've got my sub :D
And thanks for the drain bolt hack, hopefully i don't need it on my Sherlock!
Thanks Isaac, trying to have a Good Times On and Off the Bikes !!!🔥✊🏼
I'm also a new KTM to Sherco convert. Just picked up a '22. Loving it

I actualy went to dealer yesterday and was shocked how cheap new GasGas looks compare to Sherco, even red powdercoat on frame was worst then my local guy did on my 88 KTM frame...Sherco has better finish than ktm group. Bought mine just after seeing one in real first time...

I have the SE300 Factory. The only thing that makes me nervous is no kick start. Any thoughts?
Makes us nervous too. Knock on wood in the few thousand hours our crew has been riding Sherco we have had zero need for a kickstarter. We do recommend installing a secondary starter button.

Just stumbled onto the channel and just starting to get into hard enduro. Great content dudes!
Awesome!!! Welcome to the dark side
So how much better is the traxx shock vs a revalved wp explorer shock?
Good Question! A wise suspension tuner once told me that a correctly valved OEM suspension can outperform the most expensive incorrectly valved system. I have experienced this myself unfortunately. The Trax set up correctly can be really awesome, same with a correctly valved explorer. Question may come down to if it’s worth the MOO-LA $ for that little extra bit of awesome..... Now that is personal and a tough one to answer.... 🔥✊🏼
I have a 2021 ktm tpi and it runs flawless. I haven’t seen a need for tuning maybe I got a good one ...

Good humor-glad there's still carb bike's out there. Rode a friends Husky 300TPI 2yrs. ago and it felt like a clapped out WR250. Maybe its better now, but still not sold. Wish Sherco had a XC version as I went from w to xc last summer and had instant chub
Hahaha hilarious comment
300 2t = king of lug and effortless trail speed. I tried to not be a fan boy, but they just flat out work
They are incredible machines!
Does it have a grab handle on the seat?
We put grab handles on most of our bikes...but not all. James likes them but Matt is not a huge fan.
Did you confirm the Sherco bolt works for an engine flood scenario?
Yes we just used that feature in moab.
I just bought the 2020 Sherco and weigh 230. I'm curious what you weigh and what springs you put in?
I weigh the same as you and went with .48kg springs for hard enduro, the KYB have been working well at speed so, have not found the bottom of them yet 😬
@@InsideEnduro thanks man, Ill have to drop in some 4.8's when this damn snow melts!
We will try and hit it later - Thanks for tuning in!🔥✊🏼
Is Sherco one of the K T M family of companies , or are they a completely a different company .
Completely different. Sherco's are made in France
hello, Beta RR 300 or Sherco se factory 300, which is more powerful, more aggressive, more brutal, more reliable, faster in the forest on difficult trails and difficult climbs thanks to the people who will answer me! 🤝🏻

Just bought a 2024 SE 300 factory. The clutch isn't great. (other bike is a KTM) what upgrade do you recommend.
@@InsideEnduro awesome, thanks for the reply.
How durable is the Sherco clutch design?
We run down and back S3 pegs and slightly higher bars. Works great!

It came from a video I saw with the irc tire guy where he did a comparison between sherco and ktm.

MITAS is a brand of tire that comes out of E. Europe, it has dominated 90% of Red Bull Romaniacs Racers, Erzberg, and most International Hard Enduros for years. excellent comparison, ktm as good as it is became just way too expensive to regular dude. Everything is extra there. Love both anyway :) Wish sherco had ktm quality plastics though.
Well said, Thanks Man! More plastic options are coming (definitely will be nice!)
Some prefer pds some prefer linkage. Ktm is going away from TPI
I'd rather not go tpi or fi on my next purchase and that's why Sherco is on my short list.

Austria? Let’s throw another shrimp on the barby!!!!! 😅
No smart carb?
Not on these, but our giveaway bike has one on it! insideenduro.com/win-this-bike/
The Gas Gas (original gasser not the ktm gasser ) and now the Reiju both have a crankcase drain bolt ,I had a 2008 gasgas 300 had it.Euro genius.Awesome Vid .Share the same views on the once great KTM , but now are overpriced shit boxes
I'm looking at Sherco because it's carburated, and mixed fuel. I live on an island, the fewer things the better.
Awesome bikes!
The begging got me lol
Un bonjour de France 🇫🇷 moi j’ai la 2021 sherco Factory 250 c’est le top 👍
🇫🇷 FRANCE 🔥✊🏼
Oh putaing, un Frenchie ! Moi de la Réunion et toi ?
Give the tsp head and ECU a try 👍
For the KTM?
@@InsideEnduro yeah from what I've seen and heard they fix the running issues on the tpi. I myself have had poor running issues just waiting on the ECU to be mapped as we speak
@@gary444 hey I was going through the comments, I own a KTM how do you like the TSP kit? I'm on the fence on getting that TSP kit or the get ECU kit. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Sherco will be TPI soon just like the KTM. Not to mention Sherco lost Baylor to Gas Gas and won't have an Off-Road team until 2022. There was a reason he switched as well as his brother. Buy what you like.
Lot of moving parts in life, but you are on the mark with “Buy what you 👍🏼 like”! 🔥✊🏼
Awesome! How are you liking your Sherco?
Matt is bad ass
Which one!?
You seem like less of a fan boy then the ktm channel guy (dirtbikechannel)
We also ride very different terrain
Well Said 👊🏼🔥!
@@InsideEnduro Get a 16 6 Days with Keihin and then a Stic metering block and you'll love it forever, it'll never let you down
My 19 300 tpi runs smooth as butter and being able to run straight fuel is so much more convenient when you group ride with 4 strokes I've ridden carb bikes and they do nothing better I just don't get it
@@beauclose2235 Do you ride or race? Cause for trail riding with 4t strokes it's fine but when you start actually going hard for extended periods of time then real issues arise. Aside from the fact that you can actually flood the bike like a 4t and that it can't even be bump started, rebuilds are no longer $200 cause you got so much more shit to worry about. Most people can't jet worth crap so their bike never runs well and they complain about the bike. If you rode my 300 6 Days (carbed) you'd want it, everyone does lol. Convenience is the only selling point for TPI and sadly most people choose that over performance 😕
cone valve on an hard enduro bike??......have no more questions Sir.
Alfredo Gomez - Cone Valves, Colton Haaker - Cone Valves, Manuel Lettenbichler - Cone Valves, Graham Jarvis - Cone Valves, Paul Bolton - Cone Valves, Johnny Walker & Cody Webb were Cone Valves, OK my fingers are tired.... Maybe not necessary for everyone but lots of their Factory HE Riders use them...🔥✊🏼
