Yea sure, i am enjoying your contents. My husband is Pakistani and i am Indonesian, so i have to learn how to make Pakistani cuisine, more and more.. 😍😍🇵🇰🇵🇰🇮🇩🇮🇩
Well will you look at that, I use the same steps and methods of preparing chai. Only my methods involve cardamoms, cloves, black pepper and fresh ginger, all of it crushed together. And a bag of PG Tips, heh. I use way less water which I bring _almost_ to a boil (prolonged boiling makes it bitter) until I add whole milk in which I boil up once or twice before straining it all into the cup. And then sugar, of course. My family is used to plain doodh patti with only the bags, while I like mine a little more special I guess.
You are a genuine gift - thank you for being such a tasty creative force. Your design and production talent as well as your beautiful array of tools, utensils and appliances create a great overall sense of beauty and good taste. Would you be so kind as to share the name of the hand lettering font used for your tiling frame, “masala chai”. It appears at 0:03. Thank you again and we’re looking forward to more great content!
I just found your video and I loved this so much! Where did you get the terracotta mugs from? I have been looking for them everywhere and can't find them at all.
aww i got them from pakistan! but i know a ceramicist who makes them! www.fatimasclay.com/product/set-of-2-chai-cups-original-/158?cp=true&sa=true&sbp=false&q=false
Sorry for this silly question. D: If I want to serve more people (5, exactly), what should I add? Also, your videos are so peaceful and enjoyable to watch! Clear quality too! :)
Not a silly question at all! Start with 3 cups of water and everything else in the recipe scaled up by 5. When the water +tea/spices are boiling for a full minute, add 2.5 cups of whole milk. Follow the recipe for everything else 👍🏼 hope that helps! And thank you for the compliment! Peaceful is the goal! 🙏🏼
I use almost all milk in mine. Just a little water at the bottom so the milk doesn't stuck to the bottom of the pan + so the milk doesn't evaporate when boiling and I don't waste milk. The chaiwallas in Pakistan use all milk no water
Yes!! Authentic dhoodh patti uses only milk 😊 My family has been making it this way for years, though, so that we don't consume too much milk 🙂 We're used to this level of creamy now too
